I'm interested in digging my own Mayfly wigglers! So far I haven't found only your wigglers! Any information you may have on what type of bottom they prefer and how deep of water they may be in would be appreciated
+newyota1 Normally I get them from the local bait shop, but that year no one had any, so I searched on line for them and ordered some out of Wisconsin. Unfortunately I do not remember the businesses name.
Kyle Savage 4 weeks give or take a day or 2. But I ended up preserving what was left before they died. I will be doing it again, seemed to work out pretty good. That's the longest I've ever kept them alive.
Is there any way you could message me details on how you got your wigglers to stay alive for 4 weeks? I'm curious how often you had to do the water changes with new setup? What type of water? Water temperature? Where I'm at its hard to get wigglers and I've been trying to figure out how to get them to live for a while with no luck.. thanks. Hope you got some Jumbo's on those!

Sorry John, I purchased my over the net. But you can find them in mucky silty type bottom at many depths in lakes, rivers creaks.
I just discovered millions of these alien looking creatures in our pond scum!! I thought they were some kind of freshwater crustacean...now I know! 😎

Did you use regular tap water or did you grab a bucket full of pond water?
I used tap water, I actually didn’t even think to use pond water, I would think that would of been better with all the natural nutrients in it.
How long did they live
