A feminine home is a great idea! So excited to see the transformation in steps like real life. The couch is pretty. There’s no amount of scotchguard in the world that would prevent my kids from carelessly destroying a white couch. One day. But today is not that day. 😂

If you have kids and/or pets, then getting couches with removable and washable covers is a genuine life hack! No need for fancy cleaners or vaccums then, just take the cover off and spot clean or launder like the tag says.

We just got a light grey fabric couch and there was talk of applying scotch guard. I was immediately concerned it wouldn't be chemically healthy for our pets or us humans and did a little research. It didn't take long to learn my suspicions were correct. Ingredients in the fabric protector are of course neuro toxins and endocrine disruptors. Fortunately, all the cushions can be removed and washed. I'll air dry them. I also have a little green if I need to do the arms, base or back of the couch. No scotch guard use for us!

    • @logically-pastel1795

Exactly, couches already have enough toxins. No need to add extra.
