I have ran the Commander III on both front and rear. Now as far as the front I have only had one problem out of it and that’s been culping.
The rear tire has been exceptionally long lasting and solid. The first rear tire I got 26,000 miles out of it and the current rear tire I am setting right at 29,183 miles.
The rear tire has always performed excellent and has lasted longer than any tire I have ever put on a bike.
But I do agree with the comment on the front Commander III tire it needs to be researched and make it as a reliable tire as the rear tire.

The tread looks like a weird pattern. Tires are built and cured in a mold. The process can go wrong at any step. I’m on my second set on my RK. They last a long time and my last set wore good.

I bought a used Electra Glide with these tyres on it. (DOT 52/19). Mounted in 2020. Take it for a spin and was shacking with breaking!! The put 3 new disks….after it dont disapear they change the front tyre for a Dunlop 408F and it was perfect. The michelins last long, 20.000km and the remaining MC3 is still there and “round”!! But i thing about changing this rear for the Dunlop 408.

Just put a set on my bike this last week and I’m having the vibrations every one was talking about in the front end and seems like every day more and more people are having failures out of the c3s touring and Michelin supposedly acknowledged the issue with the front but to see this with the rear does not surprise me at all. I’m changing mine out soon as I get the chance even if it’s back to the stock Harley tires. Really surprised Michelin has not recalled these yet and probably won’t till some one looses there life.

The Touring type is not for that bike. You should by Michelin Commander III Cruiser.

Cruiser or Touring for my 2019 Ultralimited bro?

I just got the commander 3 in the front for my scout bobber and when I hit the road I felt that notorious buzz vibration, like I’m going through a rough patch of pebbled road even though the street is smooth and recently paved. It was an expensive tire and cycle gear doesn’t take returns on them. If only I researched it prior to buying it. Michelin needs to get their stuff straight. I feel like I got ripped off.

Had one lose a chuck the size of my hand on my Ultra-Classic rear. Only about 9000 miles. This was in August 2022.
