He doesn’t want to come across as though he is pressuring the kid and wants to keep a distance from any intimate moments since he is starting to realize that Shin like him. A lot.

I really have to commend Nishigaki's acting. No offense to some Japanese drama actors or anything but so far Sho seems to be the most natural when acting. His expressions, dialogue delivery and he also actively creates chemistry with who ever he's in a scene with. I can't really explain that, but yall probably get the same feeling I'm getting. He plays his role so well, he's literally SHIN.
Other actors, I could tell that they're playing a role and sometimes it's a little awkward and stiff even.
💜💜💜😅 After throwing himself into the pool to dodge the first kiss attempt I would have been scratching my head if Minato had let Shin kiss him in the pool. But it was a valiant attempt. 😂💜💜💜💜

Nah, people have been saying that the word they use in Japanese is more like "around 30" rather than middle-aged, but it's been translated as middle-aged for some reason. In the manga he's in his late 20s and I'm guessing the same is true for the show

The fact is I guess you didn’t understand the series. Minato understands Shin’s advances very well but he’s no predator and that’s why doesn’t want to get into situation where Shintaro can be directly or indirectly taken advantage of by him. He’s 10 years older Than him and he knows where to set his boundaries with a minor.
