Good ear, JT, that is Michael singing background vocals on this song. I can especially hear him when he says "Centipede!" Michael also wrote and produced this song. Sadly, this is Rebbie's only hit. Another of her songs I would recommend though, is "Fly Away." I bet you'd enjoy it and, don't be surprised, if you think you hear an extra vocal on that song also.

Actually - those adlibs on the ending vamp are Martha Wash, not Rebbie. Interestingly though Rebbie has the strongest voice of the three Jackson sisters.

This song was one of my faves from the 80s. She didn't have the exposure that her brothers and sisters did, but she did get some other hits. Off her second CD, "Reaction", the title song ("Reaction") got to #16 on the R&B Charts. Her 3rd CD was called "R U Tuff Enuff", and a song from that CD, called "Plaything" got to #8 on the R&B charts. You should check those two singles out.

Rebbie always had the strongest voice of the three Jackson girls, and one of the strongest overall of the family, after Michael and Jermaine, Joe initally wanted her to be the breakout Jackson musical star, but she married young and had a family young, so that plan was squahsed, though she did obvously had a few strong hits here and there, this her biggest, her next biggest hit was Yours Faithfully.

Yee that is in fact michael doing background vocals and he helped produce and mixed the beat for this track.. it is very known that michael did this for his oddest sister round his thriller Era and this I believe was released on Michael's label epic Sony records.. she just unfortunately didn't take her carreer musically further ..yes her and Janet out of the 3 sisters have definitely cool vocwl skills go check out latoya s songs and u tell me what you think

Rebbie didn't get the exposure like the Jackson Five, or Michael, or Jermaine, or Janet... But still all in all as the oldest sister, she was very talented and had her moments of success. Centerpede was probably her greatest hit on the charts, but if you get a chance try listening to her soul train performance song "Fly Away" helped produced by Michael, and with some vocals by Michael.. Also try another nice original video song of hers called "Faithfully Yours".... You are absolutely correct in that Rebbie did have great vocals, and maybe early marriage and raising 3 small kids may have something to do with any lack of success..
