I wait in anticipation for every Friday not just because it is Friday but because your beautiful new patterns are so wonderful to wake up to!! It's like opening up a present every Friday!! The river that runs through this part of the world is the Colorado River!
I love to read so many of the comments. Thank you to Janica for creating this beautiful shawl. I love water, the color blue, the gentle movement of the waves created by the stitches. . . thank you Chandi for making these weekly patterns available to us. I have to make my mention of the Blackstone River too. It's such a gift of nature and beauty itself. It's one of the little things that thinking about my memories of it makes me smile. So thank you for reminding me of the memories too!
The Potomac River! I was blessed enough to take a boat ride down this river at sunset once. This lovely pattern is so reminiscent of the gorgeous ripples and waves that seem to soothe the soul.
EFA seriously has the BEST pattern designers! Thank you so much for the excellent and relaxing tutorial, Chandi and crew! The Mississippi River runs right through our city.
Oh my, our Little Duck River is not as majestic as the Seine, but when I was a little girl in here in Tennessee, my brothers and I would slip down the side of the bridge, wade near the banks and walk for miles up the river. We spied on beavers building the dams, floated little walnut shell boats, caught crawfish, and would occasionally knock each other over in the places we knew to be little swimming holes. My Pa taught us to fish there and as a teenager I was baptized down in that river right by the bridge we had grown up fishing from. Rivers hold a special place in my heart. They remind me of the constant renewing and movement of life, and I admit I don’t stop to stare at the river as much now that I am grown. This beautiful shawl is a great reminder of that with its pretty little waves. I hope I make the time to sit on that bridge and knit someday soon now that I think of it! Thanks for the idea! PS the little bridge is out in the middle of nowhere and I won’t be in the way of traffic because I just know someone will think “that might be a bad idea” 😂
@@ExpressionFiberArts it is amazing how all of these things happened in the same place but I never really strung them all together until now lol. Now I want to go take pictures of where it all happened and write it all down. Thanks for the video and the random spurt of inspiration for a springtime project.
I’m currently doing the MCAL designed buy Janica Carter, and now to see this amazing knit pattern by her as well, is mind blowing as to her talent! Chandi you are joined by the most talented and nice people- like attracts like! You’ve created a very special place for you and Tim and your whole team and for all of us too…grateful to be a part of it all and always thank you!
Shiruvani River near Coimbatore India is known as the world’s second tastiest and sweetest water The pattern is very beautiful and I loved the wavey nature of the shawl 🖤 I would love to knit the pattern❤
I love this one! And I hope Janica brings us the sister crochet pattern in the future; that would be lovely ❤️ The thought of a river brought the Yalu River to my mind. I've been reading about brave people from North Korea that had made their way to freedom by crossing that river and going to China. But that, of course, is just the beginning of a long and dangerous journey. Those smoky tones reminded me of a winter night, which are the most likely for them to choose to escape, because the river will be frozen and easier to cross. Thank you, Chandi and Janica, for bringing us this gorgeous shawl pattern.
I will have a motion to Danube River in Serbia. A country a moved in 16 years ago now and for love. When ever I miss my home I just stand in front of that river ,watching the colour of its water and all the green surrounding it takes me back home. I also would like to thank you Chandi along with Janica for all this beautiful peace of art you are sharing with us , I feel like every Friday is my birthday with your beautiful free patterns 🎉. Thank you so much😊
The shawl pattern is awesome! It's perfectly meandering like a river 😍 Strolling alongside the lovely and powerful river Rhine in Germany is always energizing and calming me down. Lovely weekend wishes to all knitters and crocheters across the Globe 🧶
My parents have a home on the Neuse river in North Carolina. It’s so peaceful to sit & watch the fish, birds & plants, while the water ebbs & flows. Thank you for sharing so many beautiful patterns by talented designers. Have a great day. Blessed be.
I look forward to Friday mornings just to watch your lovely and calming tutorials. This is such a beautiful pattern and I can't wait to make one for myself. I would like to mention the Mekong River, which always reminds me of the stories of what my parents (and so many others) went through, during the Vietnam war, to get us here, across the world, to where we are now, the US. I would love to make a version of it for myself to have, to remind me of how wonderful Mother Nature can be. ❤️❤️
The Missouri River has had a major impact on my life. Since moving to Missouri in the mid-70s, there has only been two years since where I have not lived within 30 miles of this river. It has affected our weather, it has flooded and caused chaos, it has fed nearby creeks, it has provided a home to numerous species and has inspired thousands of artists. When I first saw your video for this pattern, I was immediately reminded of the ripples of the flowing Missouri River (although it's not anywhere NEAR that color!) 😁 Thank you again for your continued generosity. The outtakes were also SSOOOOOO much FUN!!! 😁
I got to visit Paris in April of 1980 and walk along the Seine with my dad. He passed in 2003, so I'm thankful we had that very special time together. Thank you Janica and Chandi for this beautiful shawl with a name that reminds me of all the wonderful memories I have.
I am obsessed with these beautiful colors and how drapey and flowy this shawl is!! 😍😍 I live right near the Ohio River, and I'm praying we are far enough south that we won't get affected by the toxins that have poured into it 🙏
Limmat is the river who flows out of the Lake at Zürich in Switzerland. You can walking next to it, on a small path for houres, protected from the havy car traffic. I really love this pattern and want to try it out. I did somthing similar in crochet a couple times. Now i can learn it with knitting, thank you❣️
I would love to see a similar pattern in crochet! Please, please share the pattern. I am so intimidated by the knitting. I am going to try to learn, but it would be great to see something similar I know I could do! Thank you!
Love this pattern and the subtle sheen of this yarn. I can picture myself sitting on the banks of the Mississippi River beneath a shade tree, knitting this shawl and enjoying the serenity of the moment.
I live by a river called, the Santa Ana River. It is a small meandering river that is very near my house. I used to love to ride my horses along it and, in the summer time I would take my dogs down there to run around and play with them in the water. One river I remember fondly though, is the Platt River, it ran behind my dad's house where he grew up, in Nebraska. My dad was so special and important to me. He was an awesome man and the kindest, gentlest person I have ever known. I lost him a couple of years ago, but this was a wonderful memory that was a part of him, remembering his childhood home and the river that ran through his back yard, just down the rolling Hill. Thanks for bringing that to mind. I hope you have a blessed day.
Fridays, always that special little surprise, anew pattern and more beautiful yarn! I live in New Orleans on the mighty Missisippi! It's is powerful and a " working " river. But love looking at the Potomac River as it flows through our Capitol. This pattern is perfect. You have gathered around you so much talent. Thank you for sharing
When I’m thinking of a river, I think about the Surinam River in the beautiful country of Suriname. Although I’ve been living in The Netherlands since I’m 19 y/o, I can still recall the smell and feel of the days when we went over there with our parents for a stroll at the waterside or for shaved ice with almond syrup. I’m a crocheter, but this beautiful pattern and stunning yarn calls for a journey that takes me back to the Surinam River, but that also introduces me to the skills of knitting. Perfect!
Big Piney River in Houston MO. I am from Alabama so the Big Piney was more like a creek to me. But that being said we spent many wonderful times kayaking this small river while I lived there. Water - whether it be creeks, rivers, lakes or the ocean ....it soothes my soul! I can't wait to knit this wonderful pattern! Thank you Chandi and team
I love the colors and waterlike ripple to the pattern. I grew up in a small town called Hood River. There is a river called the Hood River which runs from Mt. Hood to the mighty Columbia River. It was there that a wonderful woman named Mildred Kerr took me in hand and taught me to knit. There between the banks of the Hood and the great Columbia River. I am forever grateful.
Every other week I travel from my home in the northwest portion of Rhode Island to my daughter's home just outside of Albany, NY to watch my 3 grandchildren for the week. I always bring a WIP. On route I cross the Connecticut River. There is always a temperature change when I cross. So interesting to note that. Thank you for sharing your videos, I have learned so much and refer back to them often.
The colours in this shawl remind me of the colours of the Swan River in Western Australia. My mum use to tell stories of her visits to that river when she grew up, so glad to have been reminded of that while watching this beautiful pattern unfold.
I grew up in Krakow, Poland. The main River that goes from the mountains in the south of Poland to the Baltic Sea in the North of Poland is Wisla ( Vistula ) river. There are many songs written about this River. One of the most important rivers in Poland. There were many important historical and celebratory events that happened at this River. My Dad took me on the River cruise when I was young, he passed away in 2018. Great memories. Thank you Chandi. Cheers!
We live just a few miles from the beautiful relaxing Ouachita river in central Arkansas. But my favorite river is the Arkansas which starts way up in the Colorado mountains and we’ve been all the way to the head waters. And all the way down to where it flows into the mighty Mississippi. Another lovely pattern and another new skill I need to learn and practice. Thanks so much for all you do for fiber lovers!!!! 🤗😘🤗
The yarn at Expression Fiber Arts is gorgeous! It definitely highlights the beauty of the shawl pattern. I'm an advanced crocheter, but a novice knitter. Watching your videos helps me become a better knitter. Thank you for sharing your love of fiber arts with the world. The river that runs through my town is the Arkansas River.
Love the bloopers at the end! It makes for a great reminder that not everything flows as you planned, but will often branch off into other streams of thought. The Rio Grande does this all through New Mexico, providing small streams that are just as enchanting :-)
I have a huge collection of patterns you have offered, enough to keep me knitting and crocheting for years. I have also indulged in some of your luxurious yarns. You always include and inspirational or affirming card or book mark. I have them posted around my dresser mirror and work computer. Thank you for all the beauty inspiration you give. This pattern reminds me of the 30 days of knitting kal that I'm still working on. My river is the Rio Grande it runs through NM and my home city Albuquerque. The Bosque "forest" is a beautiful place to walk and watch wildlife. It is less than a mile from my house.
I look forward to every Friday's pattern and video! I grew up near several rivers but the Wando River in South Carolina holds a special place in my heart
What a beautiful pattern and clever use of short rows. Although British, growing up we lived near the River Rhein in Germany for a time and would often go for walks at the weekend along it's banks, which would usually end with buying some gorgeous cake to take home and enjoy. Happy memories.
I find it so relaxing to watch the close-ups of your hands knitting. Such pretty hands! I have very special memories of backpacking high in the Sierra mountains along the San Joaquin river an Thousand Islands Lake. Breathtakingly, beautiful, and the colors of this shawl are reminiscent of that. ❤
Hi, I am from Tamil Nadu, India. Here in Tamil Nadu, there is a river called River Siruvani which is a tributary of River Kaveri. The water of River Siruvani is considered the world's 2nd tastiest water. I am blessed that I am drinking Siruvani water everyday. Also I love all your videos and patterns. Your teaching is easy to follow. Plz continue with this good work.
I can't wait to try this shawl. Since I live in the Southwest, we rely on the Colorado river for water. So, it is very important to keep it flowing! The Blue River yarn pack is very pretty. Thanks for sharing this pattern.☘️
The comments on this video are so interesting to read. I couldn't get through all of them. I loved that so many of the rivers in the US were First Nation names. It is fabulous to see all of the international locations, too.
I have fond memories of learning to fish with my late husband on the Martin River in North Bay, ON Canada! Love watching your tutorials and especially looking at the inspiration for your wonderful colourways.
The first river that popped in my mind was the Mississippi River, I have been wanting to learn how to knit so bad and I bought me some needles I just need to get the nerve up to try and learn, I think I could learn from watching your tutorials because you are such a great teacher that explains everything in detail and I thank you for all your videos because I am a visual person I learn better from watching and listening. Thank you so much I love ya you are so amazing . Keep doing you and I love all the inspirational like poems you start the day with you really truly inspire me alot and when I feel like I can't, I watch one of your videos and know I can, so thank you so much and God Bless 💖, and you and your family are always in my prayers .
JoAnn, I hope you take the plunge. I just started learning to knit last year about this time. I watched a ton of RUclips videos. There are a lot for beginners (no experience at all). I chose to use the Continental style as I have crocheted for years and the yarn handling is in the left hand. I thought knitting with the same yarn hold would be easier for me. I think it was a good choice.
This is so pretty, and I love that it's customizable for those who are less adventurous! I am fortunate to live on the banks of the Allegheny River, and I'd love to knit this in my backyard watching the river flow by.
Such a beautiful pattern and yarn combo!! The Mississippi River is less than an hour away from where we live. I can only imagine how beautiful it would be if it matched the blues in your shawl! It's more of a murky brown most times... LOL!!
The Kansas River runs through Colorado, Kansas, and Nebraska, and drains into the Missouri River. Thank you for the beautiful pattern and helpful tutorial!
I can’t wait to do this. I went through my yarn stash for ideas. Since I live in Ellijay, Ga. I must say that the Ellijay River flows through our beautiful little town. It’s moving rapidly today because of all the days of rain that we’ve seen this week.😅
As a little girl, I remember crossing the Ohio River into West Virginia to visit my grandmother. We have 3 smaller rivers where I live in Fort Wayne, Indiana but nothing as broad as the Ohio. I remember at that time being amazed at how big it was. :)
I grew up in Terrace, a small town in northwestern British Columbia. The Skeena River flowed right through town, and it was our go to for salmon fishing. Such good memories. Thanks for giving such clear direction, makes it easy for us visual learners
Thank you Chandi for sharing your creativity and your love for people and life. A special River to me is the Amazon, an ancient river filled with ancient fish, creatures and plant life, some which are yet to be identified. It seems magical in the treasures it holds of the earlier species of God’s Creation. I have not been to Egypt but hope to someday.
The Missisquoi River in Northern Vermont. Just love seeing each beautiful pattern on Fridays. Thank you to the entire EFA team for creating such beautiful yarn and bringing everyone the joy of knitting and crocheting.
Hi Chandi, The Mississippi River is gorgeous. I have driven past it many times on our way to a vacation. It's calm and beautiful, so breathtaking and such a blessing to see such a beautiful wonder. The yarn colors are gorgeous, and this pattern is definitely a challenge for me ,one I'm willing to try. Thank you for sharing love. Have an amazing weekend
Illinois River, goes by Peoria, IL where I live. It runs into the mighty Mississippi. I love watching your 'how to' videos. I am so thankful for the free pattern options you give. I love the yarn I bought from your fabulous dyers. I have a lot in my stash that I plan to use as much of this year as I can! I also love it when you email with the greetings, "Hello Sweet Pea".
Thank you for a lovely pattern with beautiful yarn to enhance the design. I'm in Southern CA but several yrs. ago I lived with one of my sisters for several months in a tiny town along the east coast of southern PA. Lately I've been reminiscing about the long walks I used to take during the winter months along the Delaware River, next to the canal there__serene, walking meditations. 💖🙌😺
Beautiful pattern as always. You have chosen the best designers out there for sure. As for my choice of river, I'm going to say Crystal River, because it's in my wonderful state of Florida. When the waters of the Gulf of Mexico get cold, the manatee head in to Crystal River for warmth. They are a sight to behold. Slow meandering mammals that are fascinating to watch.
This Seinesation Shawl looks so soothing, both visually and to knit. I would love to visit the Nile River. Thanks for the chance to win your beautiful yarn!
Chandi, thank you for your tutorials. You make it look so easy. But that's not the only reason I watch your tutorials. Your voice is also calming. It's great to just listen to you and relax at the end of a hard day. You can also relax by going tubing in our local rivers, San Marcos, Comal and Guadalupe rivers are the big three near Austin. But there is also a secluded place in Austin that offers a relaxed floating option--Barton Creek. If you ever come to town, be sure to work in a tubing trip while you're here.
Beautiful pattern & beautiful yarn. Your video tutorials are always so helpful with easy to follow instructions. You have helped me venture out of my hat & scarf knitting comfort zone! Thanks for teaching this 'old dog' some new tricks! As a native Dallas girl, I suppose I should mention the Trinity River. It's not very pretty to look at, but was a welcome resource for founder John Neely Bryan.
This is a gorgeous pattern. I grew up in Pennsylvania near the Clarion River. So beautiful winding through the hills. It was a great place to grow up. The blues of this yarn are so calming and soothing, just like the river.
The River Foyle runs through the middle of my hometown in Northern Ireland. The Colorado River runs through Austin Texas where I’ve been living since the late nineties. Love watching your videos, beautiful patterns and gorgeous yarns 😁 Good luck everyone !
Lovely pattern. I would have to comment Cape Fear River, it is not only my back yard view but my husband's favorite "sanctuary" when he needs to escape in his boat for some personal worship time.
I always look forward to your weekly patterns and videos, especially the video bloopers! Thanks so much for sharing, Chandi! The first river that comes to mind is the Mississippi.
Congratulations, Susan! Your name was drawn as the winner of the Parisian Blue Hues Luster Sport Kit. Yay! Send us an email using the contact form on our website, so we can confirm where you'd like us to send it: www.expressionfiberarts.com/contact-us/
I love this pattern!! I grew up swimming in the South San Gabriel River in Texas. There’s a huge park next to the river in Georgetown and it used to have a very large playground with a wooden castle. We would take school trips to the playground a park and could skip rocks and feed ducks. The park has changed a lot in the last 20 years, but the river is a constant.
Oh, Chandi, another beautiful shawl! How appropriate to be offering up the Parisian Blue Hues kit, since the shawl is named for the Seine River! Although probably not the first river that might come to mind, the Hudson River in New York City and State was critical to the beginnings of our nation, and was a major trading route for both settlers and Native Americans. I would personally love to win the yarn set to knit this shawl. I have been in the hospital since before Christmas, and was just transferred to rehab yesterday. What a great way to aid my therapy - knitting up something so beautiful! Thanks so much for such a lovely and unique pattern . . . and for your generosity!!
You spoil us with these lovely Friday patterns. I was lucky to get to visit London a few years ago and toured the Tower of London. There is a stunning view of the Thames from there. This pattern and yarn would be a great way to make a keepsake reminder of that trip. Thank you for all the patterns you share with us and the beautiful yarns you make.
Wow! What a beautiful shawl! Thankyou Chandi and Janica for the inspiration to create. The first river that came to mind is the Crystal River in Florida where the manatees come to play during the winter months.
The color way used in the tutorial reminds me of the Mississippi river of my youth. Your tutorials are so understandable I believe I could give knitting another try. Thank you for sharing.
I freakin LOVE Fridays!!! All thanks to you my friend. A river that I loved growing up was in my neck of the woods, in NY. The beautiful Hudson Valley River region, along the Hudson river. Happy Friday, my lovey!
The Ganga river in India, its 1569 miles long and rises in the western Himalayas. Love this pattern, but more so, love the calm vibes that you send across in every single video. Thank you
Such a beautiful shawl. I think this would be a wonderful blanket as well. Reminds me so much of the Shanendoah river here in Virginia. Peaceful and calming, with awe inspiring landscapes all around with the mountains and valleys. The best place to get away for a few days.
Blanco River is the river that i love, I had so many fond memories playing in Blanco River. And so many picnics and parties. i love this pattern and cant wait to start it. thank you!
It is always a pleasure to see your email on a Friday with yet another wonderful pattern. I have had some luster sport yarn for ages in spunk (blue cream) and kitten (grey). This is going to work with this pattern. I was struggling to think what I can do with this. Now I have the inspiration to do this. The river I can think of is the River Tees its starts in the North Pennines and eventually to High force which is a wonderful waterfall to watch. Especially when it's been raining the force and sound behind it, is a sight to see. This is in the UK
"Boop and boop" :-> i make such words up too hehe - a river: Euphrates , Nile, Rhone, Meuse...... my brain works that way, it flows~ i hadn't noticed it was called Seinesation until you mentioned it- it made me mom sick : she grew up in Paris, left it to come to the States where my brother and i were born and lived there again a couple of other times in her life- it certainly brings up memories and makes me missed her and bring up other knitting memories...as i said...how so many thoughts run through my heart and mind in an instant!! Anywho, as my brother loves to say, merci for a new beautiful pattern, and thank you for offering some of your yarn to someone. Shabbat shalom to yous !! :->
I am an intermediate knitter and always learn something to help my knitting journey by watching you. Very supportive videos! My favorite river is the Shenandoah River. Being by this river is the most peaceful time I find in this chaotic world.
I wait in anticipation for every Friday not just because it is Friday but because your beautiful new patterns are so wonderful to wake up to!! It's like opening up a present every Friday!! The river that runs through this part of the world is the Colorado River!
Aw, thanks so much! I'm so happy you're here!

Shiruvani River near Coimbatore India is known as the world’s second tastiest and sweetest water

I currently live along the Tennessee River and love to watch the wisps of fog you can see in the early morning as you walk along the river's edge.
Aww, that sounds so calming. 💙
The Nile River flows into the Mediterranean Sea.
This is a beautiful shawl pattern. Thank you for teaching us so much about knitting.
My pleasure! 😍
Aww, what a wonderful memory! 💕
How interesting! And thank you! I'm glad you like what we do.
The colours in this shawl remind me of the colours of the Swan River in Western Australia. My mum use to tell stories of her visits to that river when she grew up, so glad to have been reminded of that while watching this beautiful pattern unfold.
Aww, that's wonderful! ❤️
I look forward to Fridays for so long now. Been watching you forever now. You make me smile
Aww, thank you! 💕
I grew up next to the beautiful Columbia River, and these Moody hues remind me of the water on winter days.😍
❤❤❤
The Tennessee River came to mind. That yarn is lovely.
Thank you! 💕
Just love it when you end your videos with your bloopers. So funny.
Hehe, you're welcome! 😉
I would love taking a cruise down the Mississippi River while stitching and watch the scenery go by.
That sounds lovely! 🥰
Cheers!
Hi Izabella, I'm very sorry for your loss but am glad that you have such great memories of your dad!
I hope you enjoy making Seinesation. Good luck. 😍
You're very welcome! Have a great day!
I'm so glad our tutorials are helpful! 🥰
Love the bloopers at the end! It makes for a great reminder that not everything flows as you planned, but will often branch off into other streams of thought. The Rio Grande does this all through New Mexico, providing small streams that are just as enchanting :-)
Glad you enjoy our tutorials! 💕
You're so very welcome! I'm so happy you love what we do!
Love the shawl! My favorite river is the Potomac River. When I cross that river I know I will be seeing my grandchildren very soon!❤
Aw, that's lovely! ❤
I look forward to every Friday's pattern and video! I grew up near several rivers but the Wando River in South Carolina holds a special place in my heart
Glad you like our patterns and tutorials! 💕
Tigris River - one of the most stunning rivers in the world ❤ love this wavy pattern, and the yarn collection used. ❤ 🎉 good luck everyone ! 🧶
Good luck! 💕
What a beautiful pattern and clever use of short rows. Although British, growing up we lived near the River Rhein in Germany for a time and would often go for walks at the weekend along it's banks, which would usually end with buying some gorgeous cake to take home and enjoy. Happy memories.
What great memories! 🥰
Wonderful! I'm so glad. ❤️
Exquisite shawl. It would look lovely as I stand along the Mississippi River and watch the beautiful water go by.
❤❤❤
The Allegheny River in Pennsylvania always brings back memories of my childhood. Beautiful shawl!
Thank you! I'm glad you like it!
Another beautiful shawl! A world-famous river: the Nile in Egypt 👍
Thanks! 💕
Thank you for sharing. Good luck! 💕
I can't wait to try this shawl. Since I live in the Southwest, we rely on the Colorado river for water. So, it is very important to keep it flowing! The Blue River yarn pack is very pretty. Thanks for sharing this pattern.☘️
Yay, enjoy making it! ❤️
The long Prairie River has many wonderful memories for me.
❤️❤️❤️
The comments on this video are so interesting to read. I couldn't get through all of them. I loved that so many of the rivers in the US were First Nation names. It is fabulous to see all of the international locations, too.
Wonderful, glad you enjoyed going through the comments! ❤️
Love that this was inspired by a river. First river that popped into my mind was the Mississippi River.
💕💕💕
So helpful to have a demonstration of the short rows. You make it easy to follow. Thank you!
My pleasure! 💕
I have fond memories of learning to fish with my late husband on the Martin River in North Bay, ON Canada! Love watching your tutorials and especially looking at the inspiration for your wonderful colourways.
Thanks for watching!
The first river that popped in my mind was the Mississippi River,
I have been wanting to learn how to knit so bad and I bought me some needles I just need to get the nerve up to try and learn, I think I could learn from watching your tutorials because you are such a great teacher that explains everything in detail and I thank you for all your videos because I am a visual person I learn better from watching and listening.
Aww, thank you! 💕
💕💕💕
I've lived all over the world. The mighty Mississippi is the river that says home wherever I am.
Best of luck!
Tigris River
Love the wavy flow of this shawl 🧶♥️
❤️❤️❤️
Such a beautiful pattern and yarn combo!! The Mississippi River is less than an hour away from where we live. I can only imagine how beautiful it would be if it matched the blues in your shawl! It's more of a murky brown most times... LOL!!
Thank you! 💕
The Kansas River runs through Colorado, Kansas, and Nebraska, and drains into the Missouri River. Thank you for the beautiful pattern and helpful tutorial!
You're very welcome! 💕
I can’t wait to do this. I went through my yarn stash for ideas. Since I live in Ellijay, Ga. I must say that the Ellijay River flows through our beautiful little town. It’s moving rapidly today because of all the days of rain that we’ve seen this week.😅
Thank you for sharing! 💕
As a little girl, I remember crossing the Ohio River into West Virginia to visit my grandmother. We have 3 smaller rivers where I live in Fort Wayne, Indiana but nothing as broad as the Ohio. I remember at that time being amazed at how big it was. :)
What a great memory!
I grew up in Terrace, a small town in northwestern British Columbia. The Skeena River flowed right through town, and it was our go to for salmon fishing. Such good memories. Thanks for giving such clear direction, makes it easy for us visual learners
You're most welcome! Enjoy. ❤️
Thank you for sharing! 💕
Potomac River. Here in Maryland, the Potomac River contributes to our life and culture. ❤ Beautiful yarn and lovely pattern!
Wonderful! Good luck!
I live and knit near the Ohio River in Pennsylvania.
I appreciate how you patiently demonstrate these patterns!!
Awesome! I'm glad you like what we do!
The Missisquoi River in Northern Vermont. Just love seeing each beautiful pattern on Fridays. Thank you to the entire EFA team for creating such beautiful yarn and bringing everyone the joy of knitting and crocheting.
Our pleasure! 😍
Yay, Friday. My favorite- The Colorado River. Thank you!
Awesome! 🥰
The Connecticut River in the beautiful state of Connecticut. Thanks for this tutorial and lovely pattern!
You are so welcome!
You're welcome! I hope you have a wonderful weekend, too!
My pleasure. I'm so glad you enjoy our products and emails! 💕
I grew up in Germany close to the Rhine River with its beautiful castles and vineyards. Thank you for your tutorials
You are very welcome! 💕
Oooh, I love Cairo, and I love this pattern. So, my river is the world’s longest, the Nile!
💕💕💕
Thank you for a lovely pattern with beautiful yarn to enhance the design.
I'm in Southern CA but several yrs. ago I lived with one of my sisters for several months in a tiny town along the east coast of southern PA. Lately I've been reminiscing about the long walks I used to take during the winter months along the Delaware River, next to the canal there__serene, walking meditations. 💖🙌😺
Thanks for sharing! 💕
@@ExpressionFiberArts , 💖
What a beautiful pattern 😊 The river Rhein is running through my hometown Basel, Switzerland, and I have wonderful memories!
Fabulous! 💕
Thank you for sharing! ❤️
This Seinesation Shawl looks so soothing, both visually and to knit. I would love to visit the Nile River. Thanks for the chance to win your beautiful yarn!
My pleasure! ❤️
The shawl is beautiful and simple patterns are my favorite knitting.
Thank you! 😊
I love watching your lessons every week, so calming like sailing on a lazy river, the St John's river maybe.
So glad you like our tutorials. 😍
That sounds like fun! I'm so happy you enjoy our videos.
I'm so glad you enjoy our tutorials! 💕
This is a gorgeous pattern. I grew up in Pennsylvania near the Clarion River. So beautiful winding through the hills. It was a great place to grow up. The blues of this yarn are so calming and soothing, just like the river.
Glad you like the pattern and the colors! 🥰
The River Foyle runs through the middle of my hometown in Northern Ireland.
The Colorado River runs through Austin Texas where I’ve been living since the late nineties.
Love watching your videos, beautiful patterns and gorgeous yarns 😁
Good luck everyone !
Awesome! Thank you. 💕
What a lovely pattern. I can see the inspiration of a river especially with the colors chosen. Makes me think of the Mississippi River in winter.
Thank you! 🥰
Lovely pattern. I would have to comment Cape Fear River, it is not only my back yard view but my husband's favorite "sanctuary" when he needs to escape in his boat for some personal worship time.
Love that!
I always look forward to your weekly patterns and videos, especially the video bloopers! Thanks so much for sharing, Chandi! The first river that comes to mind is the Mississippi.
I'm so happy you do! ❤️
Congratulations, Susan! Your name was drawn as the winner of the Parisian Blue Hues Luster Sport Kit. Yay! Send us an email using the contact form on our website, so we can confirm where you'd like us to send it: www.expressionfiberarts.com/contact-us/
@@ExpressionFiberArts Thank you so much! I love your yarns!
The Nile is a pretty blue colors like the shawl is. And such a pretty shawl it is, love the colors. Thanks for sharing with us.
You're most welcome! 💕
Great memory, thank you for sharing! ❤️
❤ I hope you're on the mend and heal quickly. ❤ All the best to you!
Green River that runs through Great Barrington, MA❤ Absolutely lovely, thank you
You are so welcome!
That's great, thank you! 💕
Wow! What a beautiful shawl! Thankyou Chandi and Janica for the inspiration to create. The first river that came to mind is the Crystal River in Florida where the manatees come to play during the winter months.
You're very welcome!
The color way used in the tutorial reminds me of the Mississippi river of my youth. Your tutorials are so understandable I believe I could give knitting another try. Thank you for sharing.
You are so welcome! 💕
I freakin LOVE Fridays!!! All thanks to you my friend. A river that I loved growing up was in my neck of the woods, in NY. The beautiful Hudson Valley River region, along the Hudson river. Happy Friday, my lovey!
💕💕💕
The Ganga river in India, its 1569 miles long and rises in the western Himalayas. Love this pattern, but more so, love the calm vibes that you send across in every single video. Thank you
My pleasure and good luck! 😍
Such a beautiful shawl. I think this would be a wonderful blanket as well. Reminds me so much of the Shanendoah river here in Virginia. Peaceful and calming, with awe inspiring landscapes all around with the mountains and valleys. The best place to get away for a few days.
Aww, thank you! Thank you for the recommendation. ❤️
The Danube - my husband and I took a river cruise for our fortieth anniversary a few years ago down the Danube. An unforgettable trip.
That's awesome! ❤️
Blanco River is the river that i love, I had so many fond memories playing in Blanco River. And so many picnics and parties. i love this pattern and cant wait to start it. thank you!
So cool! 😍 I hop you love making this one.
Aww, that sounds beautiful. Thank you! 😍
💕💕💕
Shenandoah River. These colors remind me of the Shenandoah in the late winter!
Best of luck!
I am an intermediate knitter and always learn something to help my knitting journey by watching you. Very supportive videos! My favorite river is the Shenandoah River. Being by this river is the most peaceful time I find in this chaotic world.
Thanks for sharing!! 💙
