I watched the video back and have seen that I said the Shotgun should be in S-Tier but I was supposed to say A-Tier! I also have seen tons of comments about the K7 It's not really a bad weapon at all the only reason it is that low is because I kinda have a childhood vendetta with it and haven't gotten over it 😆 Thank you all for watching and hope you have a wonderful new years!!!!! 🎉🥳🎉
Eh, minor mistakes, and the K7's your own opinion (personally I find it so grossly powerful that it makes up for its shortcomings). The only _major_ flaw in the video is that you _referenced_ it but you never actually showed us the gloriously dumb Cyclone reload animation! (It's always a treat to see, and hear)
@@Yuli_Ban I don't like the way the K7 sounds, but the fact that it will highlight mines/"fake" (self-destruct) Dragons/Laptop gun miniguns/etc is cool. And yeah, it shoots really freakin' fast lol.
A few months ago, I was working on a Perfect Dark Reddit post titled "K7 appreciation post - the scariest assault rifle in all of gaming." I made great progress on it, then I got sidetracked and never quite finished the whole thing. I might've forgotten all about it if it weren't for your comment. ;)
In the hands of anything above a hardsim, the K7 is like an S tier . I can't even guess how many times I've heard that damn thing rattling off just before the "who wants to be a millionaire " sounding death music
man, seeing k7 avenger in D really hurts. i mean, yeah, the secondary mode isn't that interesting, and yeah, it has the lowest capacity of all assault rifles, but at least rare learned their lesson from klobb and basically said: if it has low capacity, might as well that fewer bullets actually kill someone. seriously, this thing has absolutely no business to be the most powerful assault rifle in the game, i guess there is not much to defend outside of its shear damage output, but still, D is a little too harsh. also, you forgot about the mines and the n bomb, but i assume it has a similar placement to grenade?
I will admit Amir that that I kinda just have a person hate for the Avenger for some reason 😂 realistic I would have it around B tier for sure! Just having some fun you know 🙏
@Adzy3D it's cool man it's your personal ranking after all. If you feel like avenger is a D, then who am i to say anything?😁 also, you didn't answer my question about the n bomb and the mines
@stuffthings1417 for real, especially on perfect agent, like as if enemies having armor wasn't enough, they just had to carry the most damaging rifle of the game as well
I have to disagree on the Dragon. In multiplayer, throwing the secondary ability and tricking people into picking it up is golden. It's also accurate and does decent damage.
I agree. The dragon makes for a perfect trap, specially if you play on maps like area 52 or the sewers, which have narrow areas. There are also a couple of times its secondary mode is useful in the main missions. In datadyne research, if you didn't pick up the hidden proxy mine in the radioactive room, you can use the dragon as a substitute to secure your back while you hack the locked door near the end. In area 51 rescue, it is one of the alternatives to the explosive crate in the beginning, to blow up the wall.
A couple of groovy things I discovered back in the day: The fly-by-wire mode for the Slayer; you can actually slow it down by holding B or R! Yes, you can actually go around any corner! You can't open doors though lol. Just make sure you find a good hiding place if you try using this a lot lol. Secondly, not about guns, but the sims themselves! You can actually give them commands if you have some on your team (obviously, be playing with teams turned on lol). Hold A to open the weapons web, while it's centered (don't move the cursor) press Z, and it will open another menu!! From there, select a sim and that will open another menu to give it commands!! This is still my favorite first person shooter of all time!!!
I Love Perfect Dark Too (played on N64 since...well since 2004 or 2005), but after playing a LOT of CyberPunk 2077 (Current Game Version on Xbox Series X)... BOTH GAMES ARE HEAVILY NECK IN NECK!!!!! Perfect Dark is a Major Part of My Childhood and CyberPunk 2077 has a Story that I Will Never Forget!
Fun fact: in the original game (not sure about remakes), you can throw poison knives into the dead bodies of multiplayer opponents and the poison sticks with them when they respawn! It is so mean but so amusing.
i figured that out when i played with my friend around 2004 i think i traumatized him a little with them though because he didn't like me using them after that xD
@@shushuyukuyiyiyuku1470 yeah me and my brother used to play it a lot and we'd piss each other off with this. so the tranquilizer vision blur stays after respawn too but i don't think you can tranq the bodies after the kill like you can with the knife... been too long lol. but i know we would lethal injection each other post kill sometimes lol
Was looking for this so I don't repost lol. Gonna post something about the Slayer secondary mode now, and something absolutely game changing about Sims I posted on another video :D.
Fun fact about the laser, a Fist Sim can use it. They can't use it's primary fire but they can use a glitched version of the secondary fire. The range if the short range stream when used by them becomes long range. If a fist sim has a laser and can see you, you are probably going to be pinned to a wall by knockback and drained of your health before you have the chance to line up a shot to save yourself. It's a fun challenge to take on a team of them with a weapon set to a laser and the rest being anything they can't use.
The laser secondary mode when a CPU uses it goes wild, since they somehow get infinite range with it compared to the short almost melee use that is available for a human player.
The K7 is basically perfectly tuned to be extremely scary in enemy hands on Perfect Agent - it has issues that keep it from being a truly great weapon for the player, reload speed in particular, but the enemies don’t have to worry about that and just get to bring the insane burst damage to bear against you. Basically any time an enemy goes into an extended firing animation with the thing, you're at serious risk of just melting in less than a second if you don't get out of the way. I prefer using the other rifles in most circumstances, but I always have to sweat that little bit more when the enemies start bringing K7s in the later levels.
IKR. There is also the Simulator. For some reason, the weapon's usefulness can vary depending on whether it is being used by a player or a sim. I always thought the DY357-XL Magnum was overpowered in simulant hands as its fire and reload speed is too fast compared to players, I bet there are more weapons that suffer from this but I can't remember right now haha.
Wait, I remember some Reaper has perfect accuracy when used by high level sims Crossbow reloads almost instantly (Which is even more scarier than DY357-XL) And Knives can 1-Hit you for some reason
Cool to see someone make a PD weapons tierlist, I've been playing this game a lot for the past year and it deserves all the love it can get. Like and sub earned. While there are some placements I disagree with, I'd like to instead offer some insights/ideas for some lesser weapons: Combat knife: In my opinion, the best way to play with this weapon in Combat Simulator is by not having shields available, but having the cloaking device instead. This way, you can sneak up on someone and get a backslash kill. Yup, just play budget tf2 spy. Or actually, you're better, because you can attack out of invisibility. Without the cloaking device, it's almost impossible to use the knife, since guns will just out-range you, and an unarmed sim will knock it out of your hands if you get close. AR34: At first, I didn't like the AR34. It has the same magazine as a Dragon, but is less accurate, making its awesome zoom feel useless. However, I just didn't use it properly. When you crouch with specifically the AR34, its accuracy significantly improves. Combined with its 3x zoom and its extra powerful bullets, it's an ideal weapon to kill someone from a large distance. Its secondary function may seem lame on the surface, but it completes its niche by allowing you to move around while zoomed in. While this certainly doesn't make it the best weapon in the game, it does make it very useful on maps with large areas. The only other (normal) weapon with this much killing power from large distances is the K7, so try to like at least one of them :) Sniper Rifle: It looks cool, but yeah, the Goldeneye version is superior. Just like the AR34 though, its lame secondary function is actually pretty important. When fully crouched, your gun doesn't move around at all. This is especially useful for the Sniper Rifle, because with its insane up to 30x zoom, there is nothing stopping you from perfectly sniping someone's head from the other side of the map. The only problem is that you need two headshots to kill from full in the Combat Simulator, and that's not so easy to do with its slow fire rate. It's a shame the devs didn't give it magnum bullets. Also shields completely ruin it. Dragon: It's a very simple weapon, and that's why I like it. Normal bullets, good accuracy, slight zoom. Just a fine, sevicable gun, the Falcon 2 of the automatics. And when you get a better/different weapon, you just toss it where you think someone will eventually walk by, shield spawns are especially good. Then boom, free kill. Simulants don't pay attention to any kind of trap, so this gun is actually one of your best options when fighting stronger sims, you just cheese them. Real players should be paying attention to blatant traps, but you can hide the mine under a gun or an ammo box. If only there existed a powerful gun with a threat detector am I right. Obviously, the Super Dragon is generally far better than the regular Dragon. But if you want a normal automatic in your match without a broken secondary function, look no further, the Dragon is your friend. Didn't think it would be this much text but oh well lol.
Love the video. Love, love, love the game. For me, Remote Mines were always SS tier. Throwing them in people's faces and detonating like an absolute maniac is the pinnacle of my existence. Also a big fan of the Felicity glitch where you can get the explosions to repeat until the end of the match. They just don't make 'em like this anymore. As for the K7 Avenger, I don't know that it's necessarily one of my favorites, but I find it a very useful and hilariously violent weapon; during the campaign, it has a tendency go off right in my ear at incredible volume even as I meticulously track all enemy movements. I'm dead before I know what happened, and it takes a good minute to get my heart rate back down. Wouldn't change a thing; A Tier.
@@mncrump You are right about the K7 It his really hard and is just an all around good weapon! I just have a vendetta with it and alittle salty towards it 😂 Thank you for watching the video and commenting 🙏🙏
Remote Mines and their instant activation got them banned from the games my family would play. But, yes, they were very fun (and for some reason not everyone could manage the instant activation).
I wrecked shop with the tranquilizer. The speed and accuracy of that thing was insane. I'd pop em 5 times with that switch to the next gun as they ran into the wall and boom easy kill
The K7 Avenger solely exists to make Perfect Agent a nightmare on any level where the guards have that weapon. If even a single guard gets the drop on you and lights you up, GG try the mission again because you're dead now.
Oh man, Perfect Dark! Hit me right in the childhood! This was thee game me and my 2 friends played till Halo. The game having up to 8 A.I.s with selectable personality/play styles was way ahead of its time. Our most common game was Capture the Briefcase with four teams. Each player gets 2 Normal sims (Player choice in playstyle) on their team and the bot only Team was 2 Hard Turtle sims. Weapon loadout was often Shield, CMP-150, Dragon, AR34, K7 Avenger, and Laptop gun in that order. If we were feeling daring we play 1-Hit mode against Perfect Sims with Crossbow, Tranquilizer, Slayer, Proximity Mines, N-Bomb, and Cyclones. Such a great game.
I liked the Dragon for its near instant reload ability. And if you run out of ammo, you just toss it as a mine. My siblings and I played so much Perfect Dark back in the day. It was just such a fun game.
Yeah I've been seeing a few people say the same thing about the normal Dragon! I might have to give that mine toss another try. Thank you for watching 🙏
@@Adzy3D The trick whit the Dragon is to pick up move the spawn of a dragon(you can shot it to make it fly away)... place your empty dragon where the first one was. pick up the one you just shot away. leave... watch as another player tries to pickup a dragon and finding out its a trap.
falcon 2 (S) should actually be in S-rank, simply because it, like all other falcons, has 0 spread, meaning it ALWAYS hits the same spot assuming your aim doesn't change. the silenced version in S-rank because it's just so satisfying to listen to.
Plus the Falcon 2 (S) in singleplayer have one of the lowest sound profile. only the crossbow, fist, knife and I think one other weapon are silencer (no sound). the Falcon 2 (S) have the next best thing and I think thats alone on that spot... maybe one of the above in one of its firemod are almost silent. oh also if I recall the CMP smg is not silence at all its like one of the loaders guns (Falcon 2 stock is quiter then the CMP).
Anything i leave out you have in the right place for me. Mauler: A tier, sounds cool when using the charge shot and lotsa bullets. DY357/LX: D tier, slow fire rate and somehow the bots can rapid fire them which is annoying. K7 Avenger: S tier, the threat detector (For some reason) increased its damage by about 20%, very accurate and just smooth looking of a weapon. Was a gun i always used. Dragon: Top of B tier, accruate and great damage, using the proxy function is good to close off choke points where the enemies will funnel through. Superdragon: Bottom of B tier, the bots hail mary the grenades everywhere and more often then not, and the grenade launcher is mediocre at best. Crossbow: C tier, the instant kill function honestly shouldnt be a thing for them, woulda been better to be similar to a tranq dart. Sniper: F tier, just trash. Reaper: D tier, You aint hitting anyone with this, its a true spray and pray weapon. Tranqulizer: B tier, fun shenanigans with it, good to stop the harder sims from accurately hitting you and the lethal is defo worth the risk to try in smaller rooms. Shotgun: top of C tier, unless you're point blank, it doesnt really have that oomf a shotgun should have. Bloody inaccurate too. Slayer: Top of A tier, the fly by wire is a risk/reward function and also allows you to see into other rooms. You can also increase or decrease the flight speed so you can travel tight and confined spaces easily and torment friends with a slow moving rocket that they can try and run from. Honestly wish PD would come to Steam...
You are so right about the tranq gun in particular, I used that thing as much as any weapon to put the sims (and playing with mates) on the nod so they couldn't target me
Even though it's my favorite gun in the game, I think i'd actually agree with your placement of the standard Dragon in B tier. Main difference is that for me, i think it excels at that in a really fun and unique way. In its primary fire, it's a common assault rifle that's just a step up over weaker guns. But once you find a better gun, the Dragon can be repurposed into a proximity mine and potentially snag you a free kill, which is much more useful than weaker weapons that just sit uselessly in your inventory. The Dragon knows it isn't S tier, but it's S tier at being B tier (if that makes any sense).
My little brother and I often play the solo mission stage "Skedar Ruins" on Combat Simulator in hacked versions, and we always use the weapons Phoenix, Dragon, Laptop Gun, K7 Avenger, and Remote Mines, along with some random bonus weapon (usually Shield, RC-P120 or Farsight XR-20). Those weapons are tons of fun to use, since they complement each other extremely well.
@@RetroRich91 I understand the difference I just wanted to streamline it for videos sakes and just wanted to pick one to go with is all. Thanks for watching the video 🙏
Nice to see that people are still talking about this most excellent of games. I think that it is important, though, to discriminate between a weapon's effectiveness in the actual game and its effectiveness in the combat simulator mode. The sniper rifle, for instance, is rubbish in combat simulator, no fun at all. On the other hand, in the actual game it can be the best weapon for certain situations. I must say that I cannot understand your dislike of the K7. That was always my favourite gun. Best sound, most aggressive feel overall and very easy to aim. The secondary function was also extremely useful. Still, one man's meat is another man's poison, I guess.
I was just using Combat Simulator for Recording Purposes and just stream lining it all for the video. I didn't make the ranking based on the use in any mode specifically! It's just all for fun and I love talking about these old games ❤️ Thank you for watching the video and commenting I really appreciate it. 🙏
Great video! I think the reason I loved the superdragon so much is that id almost never have an issue with friendly fire. Can't say that about rocket launches or the devastator grenade launcher lol.
Yeah it’s always the gun the comes up if you mention PD for sure. I just feel it’s not as good as Super Dragon and such! Thank you for watching and giving me feedback 🙏
The regular Dragoon's 2nd ability is extremely good in Vs mode. You pick one up and throw it right back to the original position and remember it. Meanwhile, a CPU or player will go for it without thinking twice about it, earning you a kill, it's a trap weapon, not as versatile as its Super counterpart but dangerous all the same.
Solid list. The laptop gun was always one of my favorites for the sole reason that you can throw it down and have it shoot enemies while you're also able to pull out any other weapon and dish out punishment at the same time. Same sort of situation with the dragon being a proxy mine that just looks like a weapon for someone to pick up. I used to trick my brother with that all the time back in the day, lol.
Combat Knife throw does definitely poison, and if you have a lot of combat knives stuck in you they deflect bullets (and other combat knives from sticking in you). Also the poison and screen haze effects from things that sedate or poison you persist through death (albeit at a reduced effect)
@@ItatsuMagnatsa I didn’t make a new upload. After I created this video the creator of the Tierlist commented and told me that they updated the list and added the missing weapons.
Also, Reaper + Ducking is insanely accurate for the fire rate (ducking then the 2nd level of ducking give you much better accuracy for guns with spread) (Edit: also great with the shotty)
I've found that the crosbow tends to shoot high when I'm runnjng at full speed, so I think it only benefits from its high accuracy if you're basically standing still
@@Adzy3D It's super annoying on the airbase mission when you're trying to incapacitate the guards in the beginning and you watch the bolts sail off into the sky 😔
@Adzy3D that's understandable. Tbh, it's why i don't make my own list cause it'll likely be something I hate despite being good become a low tier. So kudos to you. 🤣
Yeah 100% it’s impossible to make a tier list that everyone is going to agree with especially with a game this old and loved.. but yeah thank you again for the feedback and glad you enjoyed the video!
I think the mauler is much better in multiplayer than singleplayer. The main drawback is it needlessly eats ammo for no real reason. I remember one mission where it's your only weapon and regular shots can't do enough damage to effectively take down your opponents so you have to charge them up. The first charge uses like five shots then you fire one shot and wait for it to charge up and then this time it uses 7!? And after that shot you don't have enough ammo to fully charge up so you have to reload and then it eats up the ammo already used to charge and uses up 5 new shots to charge up from scratch. Since you have limited ammo that mission, that's absolutely painfully wasteful. In multiplayer where ammo is plentiful, they're a ton better.
First of all, you completely gloss over the proximity pinball secondary function of the Grenade, which, if you're reading this and have never played the game before, it's exactly as fun as it sounds. Which is very. Especially on certain maps, having multiple of these grenades bouncing around is amazing. It's like playing high stakes dodgeball. Love it. Side note: the bots for some reason know how to throw these things just right so that they don't move. It's got something to do with where you're aiming, where you're moving and the slope of the ground you're throwing it at. I've gotten close to replicating the Non-moving Proxy Grenade, but they still move a little bit. The angles and momentum probably have to be prefect. Second of all, he mentions Grenades but doesn't mention the other explosives in the game. Shame. Now, most of these are pretty self explanatory (Remote Mines, Timed Mines, and Proxy Mines). Remote Mines don't get as much mileage as you may think because if you die you can't detonate them, even if you pick up more and gain access to the detonator again (I think, it's been a while). More often than not, these will even up getting set off by a different explosive. Timed Mines rely a lot on your ability to predict enemy movement, so you either look like a Chad when you're using them or they just do nothing. Proxy mines, especially on Felicity, are how fights happen. They've also probably led to more, uh, "self-unalivings" than any other weapon. One weapon I'm shocked and depressed you missed was the N-Bomb (no, not that one). The N-Bomb is possibly the most interesting weapon in the game. When it goes off, it darkens the area around it, this huge sphere of black energy emerges for a couple seconds, and the sound is like space itself is being warped. The effect on players is the dizzy effect and you get disarmed. Also, each explosive type weapon (N-Bombs, Mines, Grenades) is dropped individually. So if you have 10 N-Bombs on your person, each one will drop on the ground. Also also, N-Bombs can set off other N-Bombs. Yes, this basically makes the game completely unplayable. And I love it. Finally, there's also the three support items. The Shield (you're basically unkillable, though headshots do deal additional damage still). The Cloaking Device (you're impossible to see... on a CRT TV in 4 player split screen, this thing was annoying). And last but not least, the Combat Boost. You never willing turn on the Combat Boost. Ever. The only time you see it is if it pops up when you randomize the weapons. And when it does, you pretend it doesn't exist. Why? Because it only has two functions: Turning off slo-mo, and turning it on. And no, that's slo-mo for EVERYONE. And when I say slo-mo, I mean slooooooooow. And there's always in every group of friends that one guy that thinks, "it'd be so funny if I used this...." He will instantly realize his mistake when that one really good player in the game gets free kills with his Magnums because now he has all the time in the world to aim for headshots. And then even if you see more Combat Boosts that you need to fix the problem, it's going to take you ages to get to them. Oh yeah, new players always always always make the mistake of using these. They see combat boost and think, "Oooo, I wonder what THIS does!" Followed by instant regret. OTHER THAN THAT, great list. I personally would have put the Mag Sec 4 in an even lower tier than what you had available called, like, trash fire or something. Also, Mauler belongs in A tier for looks alone. Thing looks gnarly.
@@jayjaydeth Thanks man I can see you have a lot of love for the game and it really shows! ❤️ I just want to say thank you for the detailed comment and being respectful I really appreciate it 🙏🫡
@@Adzy3D In elementary school, I played this a lot with my friends. Then in high school, this and an XPAC was the greatest purchase I ever made. Waaaaay too many hours spent playing combat sim against the bots. Definitely not because I couldn't find the thing you were supposed to pick up to get through the third level and never even finished the game. I think I managed to beat almost all of the challenges. Some of them were insanely hard. One I specifically remember was Capture the Case 2v2. If you didn't get a particular spawn for your case, it was actually impossible. Thank god for GameFAQs.
Thanks for another great and nostalgic video. If I had to pick my favorite PD weapons, it would have to be the Laptop Gun and the Super Dragon. They're both powerful, have good mag capacities, and their high rates of fire turn enemies into mincemeat. Their secondary functions, sentry mode (LG) and powerful grenade launcher (SD) are nice as well.
Personally, I would have put Mauler higher up. If you're trying to tackle the Combat Simulator challenges, then it's one of your best tools against Dark Sims. Also, the list seems to be missing all the mines and the N-Grenade?
Lets also not forget how I dramatically changed the match when i decided to use the Mauler, when I was playing multiplayer with you and your friends, on Area 52. 20+ kill comeback within a few minutes.
Hurts me that K7 is that low, the weapon is cool itself, insane damage too, the only drawback is it's magazine size, very low for an AR It always terrorizes me in Perfect agent CI defense hahaha Good ranking video btw, it's nice to hear about PD, please do more!
The AR34 may be pretty simple but it does simple well. Accurate, great stopping power (more than super dragon), and a fire rate that won't drain your clip in 1 second. I'd personally rank it higher. Great vid!
@@magicjohnson3121 The Silenced Falcon I feel is much much much better than the scoped? Silenced weapons in PD/GE are legit soooo important and lend into the gameplay a lot. Thanks again for watching and commenting! 🙏
Now someone needs to do this but based on vibes...i love the mauler for it's glowing charge to that was basically just a red blob on my crt, and the sound it makes is like the most alien gun sounding sound, i love it. Also a big fan of the avenger...
A distinction should be made about how useful a weapon is in VS compared to story-missions. For example, the Slayer isn't particularly safe to use in the VS, but in the story-mission, the ability to drive a rocket around corners -- and slow it down, too -- is a very different scenario. Also, the Dragon assault rifle isn't just an explosive, it's a _PROXIMITY_ explosive. That's a bit different. Of course it could be used to throw near an object to be blown up, and then it could be shot using a different weapon, so that's useful. And of course in VS mode, the proximity mode of the explosion made it dangerous to pick up guns laying around, because it might be a trap.
@@TROOPERfarcry I was talking about the guns overall.. of course some weapons will be better than others in the missions they are in because they were made for it! It’s impossible to rank them like that so I’ve just gone off what I think in general. Thank you for watching 🙏
Watched the Goldeneye weapons ranking probably ten times. This is such an underrated channel. Btw partly it is my American enjoyment of your accent hahaha.
OH SHIT! thats my tier list maker! glad it came in handy. i did forget to include some newer renders i made in it, so itll be updated sometime in the near future. wonderful videos as always
I agree with a lot of your choices and opinions here and super well made video overall, perfect dark really is content packed! These guns in singleplayer would be a whole different ranking in a lot of cases which might make a neat vid as well. For example, the DY357-LX magnum in singleplayer is only technically used on crash site to blow up the bomb on perfect agent from a safe distance away and can kill enemies except they're all equipped with k7 avengers that can completely shred you if you miss a shot on top of slow fire rate and reload speed, which makes it an easy D Tier weapon in general which is a bit unfortunate really haha.
Laptop is S, it's so easy to aim and destroys everything. Bonus points to Laptop for its sound, just so satisfying to use. CMP is bottom of A, top ish B, so in agreement there. Revolvers are just too slow to be in S, despite the power.
Yeah It's very hard to make a ranking on these old games because I know so many of us love them so so much and take this shit to heart! Thank you for being respectful about it. 🙏
Guns I agree with you most about: Farsight, SuperDragon, Callisto, Mag4, Laptop Gun Guns I disagree with you most about: > The K7 Avenger is a monstruous rifle, think of it like the real-world BAR where it's a heavy hitting gun with a 20-round mag, it deals heavy damage and I think the gunfire sounds violent when it shoots. > The Shotgun I think the fire-rate is just too slow, it's like Doom 2's super shotgun fire-rate but having the normal shotgun's damage and yea there is the double-shot but it isn't consistent damage and it does push your opponent back with each hit. > CMP150 should be rated 'A' if I'm honest, contained spread, can be duel-wielded, large ammo capacity and good DPS with relatively quick reload, overall a good gun. > Lastly the Devastator is a great weapon, you just got to fire in anticipation to enemy paths and lean how to ping the grenades off walls, the grenades fly fast and far, loads very fast, good capacity and grenades fly in a tight trajectory, undoubtably much better then the unwieldly rocket launcher.
Great list as always! I mostly agree with it u made valid points too about the reload times, mag sizes, fire rate etc! On a side note, when I use the rcp120 and I'm using the cloak, I just hold the trigger when the ammo mag depletes. U still invisible without reloading but eventually your ammo will just drain instantly lol but it comes in handy in the challenge.
The weapons in PD are just SO MUCH FUN to use. And there's so many of them! One of the best roster of any FPS ever. They just nailed it, they look awesome, feel awesome and sound awesome. Even those that objectively aren't really useful see some use because they are so damn fun.
this video was a MASSIVE throwback. i agreed mostly with almost everything u said in the video haha. Laptop gun probably even higher for me though, i mean it's a LAPTOP that changes into a GUN, and it can even be a SENTRY GUN. BADASS!!! lol That farsight goin straight into top of S tier is the most obvious choice though, lmaooo like not even just S tier, but at the very top! XD it was such a broken gun, so stupid...
Is there a place I can find the 3D models you use in your thumbnails and videos like the Siberian Special Forces (unless you extract them yourself)? I'm on the lookout for Goldeneye and Perfect Dark characters for a project.
I'd say the rankings would change depending on the version youre playing and what mode. I cannot stand the sniper in multiplayer, but the Sniper Rifle Cheat is very fun to use in single player. And the Falcon 2 Scope is a lot more fun on XBLA and on PC with that reticle lock feature even more fun. That reticle lock option actually made the AR34's scope a lot better. Also no mines or N-Bomb?
Yeah this is 100% true for sure. Now that people play with mouse and keyboard some weapons could be so much more powerful and such! Thank you for watching and commenting 🙏
Just finished a full watch through, interesting list, few thigs i would change would be Slayer higher up just because of the secondary fire on multiplayer and id swap Callisto and AR34. Once upon a time i could run rings and headshot with an AR34 alas i am old and my skills wain
Something nice you didn't mention about the DY357 is that you can shoot through doors and some walls with it. I'd personally put the regular magnum in B tier though, it is just too all around slow for this game
I totally agree on Callisto and Super Dragon I freaking love these guns and something else I noticed you used OSRS music in the background do you play it yourself ? or you just picked the songs because of the catchy tunes.
The sniper rifles in both Goldeneye and Perfect Dark are both terrible in multiplayer. None of the maps are wide open enough that you can pick someone off from a distance, and even headshots won't kill another player in one hit, plus the players just move too fast. It seems like it's just a limitation of the system. Rendering long distances in split-screen would eat up too much processing power so all the maps are designed with small-to-medium rooms. But it does make the snipers so useless they might as well have not been a multiplayer option. Even in Perfect Dark where you can customize the weapon selection, if you set all the weapons to sniper rifle so there's no better weapon, no one's going to have fun with them.
This game is so good that it deserves a sequel, but with the same engine and slightly polished to maintain the essence... or simply a remake with all the stages with new areas to explore, new weapons, enemies and stories in parallel... it would be spectacular.
Awesome video. That's a great way to end 2024. I hope you keep it up. Hope you blow up soon on RUclips you deserve it. Happy New Year, and be safe 🎉 Ps. Could you do a video on Goldeneye X I watched you play veteraneye, and it was very entertaining please and thanks 🙏
Farsight probably should have it's own tier, but that's just semantics. Double maulers at least A tier with double one hit shots. K7 has good damage and a good scope so I'd say B tier at least. Grenades and knife, F tier along with N bomb, and mines. Although proximity mines are probably B or C tier but that's hard to definitively say. Good content! I love the debate about such a great game.
The RCP120 is S-tier for me. It's like a Calypso that also has a cloak that's good for either taking an enemy by surprise or getting out of danger. Also S-tier is the laptop gun. Good for covering your rear and for taking enemies by surprise.
One other thing to note about several of the weapons' seemingly useless secondary fire functions (auto-lock on, forced zoom, target locater, etc), they were only that way because PD was made for the N64, which famously had a controller designed for Martians and only one analog stick. The CMP-150's secondary function is utterly useless in the XBLA version and even less useful than _that_ in the PC port that has proper mouse aiming, but going back to play on N64 hardware, god Christ, it's astounding the game flows and functions as well as it does.
@ yeah I’m surprised I bloody missed that in the video…. I’m disappointed I didn’t have the reload in it 🤦♂️ Thank you for watching 🙏
@@Yuli_Ban I don't like the way the K7 sounds, but the fact that it will highlight mines/"fake" (self-destruct) Dragons/Laptop gun miniguns/etc is cool. And yeah, it shoots really freakin' fast lol.
The K7 is a double edged sword. It has a light ammo capacity but it hits with an absolute iron fist.
to enjoy the reaper more at long range, first go into meele mode and keep holding z, see someone them go to shoot mode
The K7 turns PD into a horror game on Perfect Agent. It’s loud and melts you in seconds.
@@MrJohnlennon007 yeah it does have massive damage and also is very very loud 😂
Also with the Dragon, it helps on Rescue with the mine feature instead of using that box :P
@@FuelAirSparkTime I respect that 🫡
I thought I was the only one who thought that's what PD death sounded like 😭
who wants to be a millionnaire sounding death music!! 😂😂😂 Man, i never thought about it like that, but now you mention it!
man, seeing k7 avenger in D really hurts. i mean, yeah, the secondary mode isn't that interesting, and yeah, it has the lowest capacity of all assault rifles, but at least rare learned their lesson from klobb and basically said: if it has low capacity, might as well that fewer bullets actually kill someone. seriously, this thing has absolutely no business to be the most powerful assault rifle in the game, i guess there is not much to defend outside of its shear damage output, but still, D is a little too harsh. also, you forgot about the mines and the n bomb, but i assume it has a similar placement to grenade?
I will admit Amir that that I kinda just have a person hate for the Avenger for some reason 😂 realistic I would have it around B tier for sure! Just having some fun you know 🙏
@Adzy3D it's cool man it's your personal ranking after all. If you feel like avenger is a D, then who am i to say anything?😁 also, you didn't answer my question about the n bomb and the mines
@ thanks for being respectful and sharing your opinion I really love seeing different outlooks on the tierlists 🙏❤️
this rifle makes carrington rough.
@@jamesturner9651 I respect the hell out of that ❤️🫡
@ def not an S. But I’d argue it’s a B+ at worst. Great list btw. I, too, love the shotgun

@@Bruce_Fernandes That's pretty sick ngl!
A couple of groovy things I discovered back in the day:
The fly-by-wire mode for the Slayer; you can actually slow it down by holding B or R!
Both good games!
Avenger in D tier is insane
It isn't really that bad at all... Just a personal thing! Thank you for watching 🙏
Fun fact: in the original game (not sure about remakes), you can throw poison knives into the dead bodies of multiplayer opponents and the poison sticks with them when they respawn! It is so mean but so amusing.
Wow you really do learn something everyday!
i figured that out when i played with my friend around 2004 i think i traumatized him a little with them though because he didn't like me using them after that xD
Doesn't the same thing happen with the crossbow?
Fun fact about the laser, a Fist Sim can use it. They can't use it's primary fire but they can use a glitched version of the secondary fire. The range if the short range stream when used by them becomes long range. If a fist sim has a laser and can see you, you are probably going to be pinned to a wall by knockback and drained of your health before you have the chance to line up a shot to save yourself.
It's a fun challenge to take on a team of them with a weapon set to a laser and the rest being anything they can't use.
You learn something new everyday! Thank you for watching 🙏
The laser secondary mode when a CPU uses it goes wild, since they somehow get infinite range with it compared to the short almost melee use that is available for a human player.
it's funny you posted this on the day I bought a copy of Perfect Dark at a retro game store
Now thats pretty cool!
Yeah I've seen a few people say the same thing! Maybe Ill have to give it another chance.
Wait, I remember some
Reaper has perfect accuracy when used by high level sims
Crossbow reloads almost instantly (Which is even more scarier than DY357-XL)
And Knives can 1-Hit you for some reason
Cool to see someone make a PD weapons tierlist, I've been playing this game a lot for the past year and it deserves all the love it can get. Like and sub earned. While there are some placements I disagree with, I'd like to instead offer some insights/ideas for some lesser weapons:
Combat knife: In my opinion, the best way to play with this weapon in Combat Simulator is by not having shields available, but having the cloaking device instead.
The only other (normal) weapon with this much killing power from large distances is the K7, so try to like at least one of them :)
Sniper Rifle: It looks cool, but yeah, the Goldeneye version is superior.
My jaw dropped when K7 Avenger was put in D tier. Nice video though!
@@GoldenEyeCentral-el6zj I’m so sorry my friend 😂 it’s just a personal vendetta I haven’t gotten over 😭

Love hearing about how people played this game back in the day. Thank you for watching and commenting 🙏
I'm going to have to agree with you. The bots were probably the best part of an already amazing game. Perfect Dark epitomized customization.
I liked the Dragon for its near instant reload ability. And if you run out of ammo, you just toss it as a mine.

AdzyIn3D Oh Really
The weird lag time on it before firing to imitate a double action is the major drawback for me, otherwise it's pretty good.
falcon 2 (S) should actually be in S-rank, simply because it, like all other falcons, has 0 spread, meaning it ALWAYS hits the same spot assuming your aim doesn't change. the silenced version in S-rank because it's just so satisfying to listen to.
I can respect that!

@@ICLAIMTHISNAME 100% agree
Even though it's my favorite gun in the game, I think i'd actually agree with your placement of the standard Dragon in B tier. Main difference is that for me, i think it excels at that in a really fun and unique way. In its primary fire, it's a common assault rifle that's just a step up over weaker guns. But once you find a better gun, the Dragon can be repurposed into a proximity mine and potentially snag you a free kill, which is much more useful than weaker weapons that just sit uselessly in your inventory. The Dragon knows it isn't S tier, but it's S tier at being B tier (if that makes any sense).
@@ZeldaAran52 Thanks for the comment! I’m glad you agree with the placement and I 100% agree with your take for sure. 🙏

You are welcome ❤️
K7, AR34 and Sniper Rifle all S-tier imo. Revolver and Shotgun D-tier (low ROF and long reload times).
I can respect that.
Yeah the laptop is a bloody beast! Thank you for watching ❤️
Combat Knife throw does definitely poison, and if you have a lot of combat knives stuck in you they deflect bullets (and other combat knives from sticking in you). Also the poison and screen haze effects from things that sedate or poison you persist through death (albeit at a reduced effect)
You forgot about the Mines, the N-Grenade, and the Psychosis Gun.

@@Adzy3D you are very welcome and I subscribed to your channel
Yeah I can agree with that take on the mauler for sure.. Thank you for watching and commenting 🙏
12:49
Where the hell did that bot fall down from? I've never seen that happen before.
LOL
The dragons proximity mine is incredibly useful both in single and multiplayer.
Both are beasts!
Personally, I would have put Mauler higher up. If you're trying to tackle the Combat Simulator challenges, then it's one of your best tools against Dark Sims. Also, the list seems to be missing all the mines and the N-Grenade?
These are the comments I love to see! Hearing how different people look at things in these old games just makes me happy. Thank you for the feedback 🙏
Lets also not forget how I dramatically changed the match when i decided to use the Mauler, when I was playing multiplayer with you and your friends, on Area 52. 20+ kill comeback within a few minutes.
@@frozensxo You sound like a very skilled player!
@@Adzy3D She beat us all in a 1v4. She's very good
Classic guns: Allow us to introduce ourselves in the XBOX version
N64: No
Hurts me that K7 is that low, the weapon is cool itself, insane damage too, the only drawback is it's magazine size, very low for an AR
It always terrorizes me in Perfect agent CI defense hahaha
Good ranking video btw, it's nice to hear about PD, please do more!
Yeah it's not that bad just a personal hatred towards it. Thank you for watching 🙏
The AR34 may be pretty simple but it does simple well. Accurate, great stopping power (more than super dragon), and a fire rate that won't drain your clip in 1 second. I'd personally rank it higher. Great vid!
Yeah I can respect that! Thank you for being kind and watching the video 🙏🙏
How is a scopped falcon low tier than a silenced falcon?
@@magicjohnson3121 The Silenced Falcon I feel is much much much better than the scoped? Silenced weapons in PD/GE are legit soooo important and lend into the gameplay a lot. Thanks again for watching and commenting! 🙏
Dude, I think you were being far to lenient on some of these weapons.
Fun video, great to see Perfect Dark still get love to this day.
Thanks for watching 🙏❤️

@@-Batista Ouch you really got me with that one! 🤓 Anyways I only said that to streamline things for video sake but thanks for watching 🙏

Now someone needs to do this but based on vibes...i love the mauler for it's glowing charge to that was basically just a red blob on my crt, and the sound it makes is like the most alien gun sounding sound, i love it.
Also a big fan of the avenger...
Keep the perfect dark content coming! Not enough of my favorite RUclipsrs are doing PD anymore
Thank you very much I'm glad you enjoy the videos and the accent 😂
OH SHIT! thats my tier list maker! glad it came in handy. i did forget to include some newer renders i made in it, so itll be updated sometime in the near future. wonderful videos as always
Just updated it with the rest of the explosives, and also included the goldeneye unlocks.
Thank you very much for making it 🙏
@@Adzy3D welp time to add the N-Bomb into the list among others
Thanks for the beautiful comment! And thank you so much for watching 🙏
Great video as always man, I laughed at "combat knife above k7 avenger." I can understand if the knife gets a buff for being very fun though. Cheers!
@@SacredRazor365 yeah it’s definitely better than the combat knife 😂 I just have a personal vendetta with it no idea why 🤷
Laptop is S, it's so easy to aim and destroys everything. Bonus points to Laptop for its sound, just so satisfying to use.
CMP is bottom of A, top ish B, so in agreement there. Revolvers are just too slow to be in S, despite the power.
I respect your takes for sure! Thank you for watching 🙏
50% accurate IMHO - and I don't mean that as an insult, it's very subjective.
Yeah It's very hard to make a ranking on these old games because I know so many of us love them so so much and take this shit to heart! Thank you for being respectful about it. 🙏

Proper melt machines when fuel wielded: A Tier
Guns I agree with you most about: Farsight, SuperDragon, Callisto, Mag4, Laptop Gun
Guns I disagree with you most about:
> The K7 Avenger is a monstruous rifle, think of it like the real-world BAR where it's a heavy hitting gun with a 20-round mag, it deals heavy damage and I think the gunfire sounds violent when it shoots.
Thank you for being respectful and sharing your thoughts with me! 🙏
Nice to see you back man 👍🏼
@@Sublime182 ❤️🙏
Great list as always! I mostly agree with it u made valid points too about the reload times, mag sizes, fire rate etc! On a side note, when I use the rcp120 and I'm using the cloak, I just hold the trigger when the ammo mag depletes. U still invisible without reloading but eventually your ammo will just drain instantly lol but it comes in handy in the challenge.
@@rudyhernandez4574 so wholesome 🙏 Thank you for watching!
The weapons in PD are just SO MUCH FUN to use. And there's so many of them! One of the best roster of any FPS ever. They just nailed it, they look awesome, feel awesome and sound awesome. Even those that objectively aren't really useful see some use because they are so damn fun.
100% agree
Good video, but are damage profiles available? It would be good to talk about damage values. Case in point, the K7 hits very hard.
Yeah the K7 hits really really hard and sounds so beefy! I just don’t like the small clip…
Many hours were spent back in the day fucking with the Farsight in multiplayer. It's so cool and funny broken at the same time.
It's such a crazy weapon 😂
this video was a MASSIVE throwback. i agreed mostly with almost everything u said in the video haha. Laptop gun probably even higher for me though, i mean it's a LAPTOP that changes into a GUN, and it can even be a SENTRY GUN. BADASS!!! lol
That farsight goin straight into top of S tier is the most obvious choice though, lmaooo like not even just S tier, but at the very top! XD it was such a broken gun, so stupid...
The Farsight is bloody crazy 😂 Thank you for watching and commenting 🙏
Wait, did you slip in music from the N64 port of Hexen and thought we wouldn't notice??

“I’m gonna put the shotgun in the middle of S tier”, ends up in A tier.
That said, a lot of these choices, I agree with

RC-P90 was just the gun from Goldeneye 007 basically.
Yeah pretty much!
Is there a place I can find the 3D models you use in your thumbnails and videos like the Siberian Special Forces (unless you extract them yourself)? I'm on the lookout for Goldeneye and Perfect Dark characters for a project.
I legit just use my own ripped/converted models in SFM!
@@Adzy3D Thank you for taking the time to reply, maybe I should look into learning how to do that. I do have the roms.
@@simonn2045 thanks for being respectful and for the response 🙏❤️
Lol you sound like king theoden
IIRC, the K7 is the most powerful AR in the game with huge knockback.
Yeah the K7 hits really hard for sure!
Something nice you didn't mention about the DY357 is that you can shoot through doors and some walls with it. I'd personally put the regular magnum in B tier though, it is just too all around slow for this game
That's a very good point!
I totally agree on Callisto and Super Dragon I freaking love these guns and something else I noticed you used OSRS music in the background do you play it yourself ? or you just picked the songs because of the catchy tunes.
@@Blueniter Yeah they are absolutely beast of weapons! I am a OSRS player I’m happy someone pick up on that one .🙏
100% Agree
Awesome video. That's a great way to end 2024. I hope you keep it up. Hope you blow up soon on RUclips you deserve it. Happy New Year, and be safe 🎉

@@LeonKenndy-w8w thank you so much for the love ❤️ I will add Goldeneye X to the list!
@@Adzy3D looking forward 👌
Farsight probably should have it's own tier, but that's just semantics. Double maulers at least A tier with double one hit shots. K7 has good damage and a good scope so I'd say B tier at least. Grenades and knife, F tier along with N bomb, and mines. Although proximity mines are probably B or C tier but that's hard to definitively say. Good content! I love the debate about such a great game.
I really like those listings! Thank you for watching 🙏
The RCP120 is S-tier for me. It's like a Calypso that also has a cloak that's good for either taking an enemy by surprise or getting out of danger.
Also S-tier is the laptop gun. Good for covering your rear and for taking enemies by surprise.
Yeah I can respect this for sure both absolutely have good use in those situations. Thank you for watching 🙏
A tier for magnum? Slow fire rate and reload time puts it in d tier
@@magicjohnson3121 I think it’s really good tbh. But I respect and do see where you are coming from 🙏
It has a massive redeeming feature, being able to shoot from multiple enemies at once.
I've played Perfect Dark Zero and I liked that game 🎮. I definitely have to give the original a try, this was a good tier list by the way.
Thank you very much! ❤️
You forgot the N-Bomb (lol) and the Psychosis gun. The most miserable time you can possibly have in multiplayer is setting only N-Bombs.
It wasn't in the tierlist I was using at the time but has been updated and all missing weapons have been added!
Great ranking. I agree with pretty much all of it. For me top would be cmp150. That secondary lock-on saved many a mission!
The CMP is a beast for sure!
@@Yuli_Ban yeah in the N64 version the auto lock was so bloody useful for sure!
