Ultimate Spider-Man - Combat Tours - Insane Difficulty

- After completing the story and all 36 combat tours, you unlock insane combat tours. They're just bonus conent and are not required to complete the game 100%, in fact, they don't even add up to the counter in the city goals list.
These tours are very difficult, with many enemies jumping on you at once every wave. In addition, low-tier thugs don't appear anymore, there are only mid-tier thugs and bosses.
All combat tours for each gang are the same, the only difference is their locations.
You have to use every trick you know to beat those tours: damage stacking, spamming wall bounces, or use cheese strats, like pulling one thug from the group and beating him alone.
You should keep health pickups from previous waves to when you need them, but note that you can only backtrack so much before the game fails you for being too far from the current wave you're fighting.
0:00 - Yancy Street Gang
Mid-tier thugs are pretty easy to deal with, it's the bosses that are challenging. While they're not too hard to beat, they deal alot of damage if you let them hit you with flamethrowers. You may get away with this, because their hitbox is weird at time, but I highly recommend taking them down first.
4:44 - High Rollers
The weakest gang in the game. I find mid-tier thugs more dangerous than their bosses. They have grenade launchers that stunt you, which will make you take more hits. They tend to be more aggressive than the bosses, so you should take them down first.
8:04 - Die-Caste
The only gang with 2 types of mid-tier thugs. Those that wear green have grenade launchers, which makes them more dangerous. The bosses block any web attacks, so you can't isolate them from the group.
13:57 - Mei Hua Bang
The most annoying and broken gang in the game. Well, not so much without low-tier thugs. That's right, without them, this gang is actually more manageable. There are still the boss girls of course, but at least you don't get stunned forever with melee attacks and axe throws.
Wall bounces are your best friends against this gang, as they block most of your regular attacks.
Did you know that you can finish wall bounces with grab instead of puch or kick? Did you know that there're different animations depending on whether you started with a punch or a kick? This move is useful only against the boss girls, who otherwise block you finishing moves.
I learned this from someone in chat while I was streaming (thanks Spider Arachnid, hope I remember the name correctly).

When I first played this game the mei hua gave me a lot of trouble, so i remember that when i unlocked venom at the end of the story for the first time my first thought was "now i'm going to go get revenge on that gang!" I was quite disappointed to learn that venom doesn't have combat tours :(
Anyways, i did not know that you could throw after a wall attack, interesting!
Venom combat tours should be a mod for PC if it’s even possible to create.
@@ThunderNecros: I've already seen character switching been done on a couple of occasions. You can do this with most games just change a few things around.

I've played this game a long time when I was a kid. It really brings back memories having a lot of fun kicking bad guy butt:) I beat the hole story mode but didn't get the chance of unlocking secrets. So close. Most importantly didn't unlock and play the black symbiote costume.
You can power your way through cheap gangs like Die caste and Mei hua with relative ease. Aside from webbing enemies often, You just have to utilize the grab button properly and efficiently against certain enemy types. Since grab animations can't be interrupted by enemy attacks, you won't get stunned. Which helps alleviate the dmg you receive while also propelling you into the air for breathing room to continue dodging and plan your next string of attacks without running far away. It's a very stylish and useful combat tactic which cuts big groups of enemies down to a handful pretty fast and saves plenty health with enough practice. I say this cause I always hated having to cheese my way through these enemies for years when I'd rather fight more lore accurate.
It's too bad don't get you another health upgrade from this. Always bugged me how it caps off at 137%
Now it makes sense how I couldn't do any of the combat tours after I done everything in the game in my opinion they are a bit more challenging than I thought just because of the way the combat is in this game

There was a way to flip the enemies, but instead of using the web, Spider-Man would grab them by the legs and flip them, that is, make them spin (like Goku in Budokai Tenkaichi), but I never knew how to do that movement. I always did it accidentally.

I recommend playing the game in 1.3x speed with Cheat Engine. Not for speedrunning of course but it makes it way more enjoyable.

Try acrobatic moves. They're the most effective against the Plum-Blossoms.
Another trick (PC Controls) press e (tentacle attack) and then press f (grab) venom will pull enemies towards himself

Hey love your gameplay! I don’t suppose you have any advice for Mua Hua Bang? I don’t know how to manage them properly, currently trying to 100% this game and they’re the last four tours I need but I’m finding it almost impossible at times
Low-tier thugs: Regular attack combos (punch-kick-punch-...)
Mid-tier thugs: Wall bounces, finished with punch/kick button
Bosses: Wall bounces, finished with grab button
The safest way to to pull one enemy at a time with web+punch and then take them down. Or you can try to power your way through, by attacking the entire group. Alter between punch and kick and keep changing targets to deal more damage with every hit.

Wall bounce with a grab finisher, the spin animation is part of the attack.

I wonder what controller do you use?
I use my old Logitech F310, and I can't play this game in Xinput mode - the game lets me set all buttons in settings, but in-game I can't web zip although web swing and web attack work properly (triggers can't be pressed at the same time), and I have to use Dinput mode which switches buttons in menu and I have to press X to open something and Y to close instead of A and B respectively
The reason for that is that the triggers are set as +3 Z-Axis and -3 Z-Axis. When pressed together, they cancel out each other, since the Z-Axis value is now 0.
To overcome that, I simply mapped the bumper keys (RB+LB) instead of the triggers.

Love the gameplay. Recently started playing the game again. Just completed the story. Did all 36 combats and all 100 City events. Just recently unlocked that yellow suit for the 1st time ever! Only need 2 suits. Collected 95 tokens out of 190 and need another 30 more race medels. Idk how to earn all the medels. Some of the races are extremely hard and annoying as hell. Anyone got any advice? Really wanting to %100 complete the game for the 1st time ever! Had the game since I was 6. Now 22 lol and never %100 completed it before but so close!!
Practice and memorization. You can follow my other videos in the channel where I collect all tokens and beat all races with ultimate medals (you only need bronze for 100% completion, but ultimate medal is the ultimate flex).

Are those combat tours can be replayed infinite amount of time? I beat some of them and they just don't disappear from map like regular CTs
That's correct. These extra CTs are bonus content, thus can be replayed indefinitely.
Do you know how to dodge bullets properly when you are chasing a car? I am struggling with that.
Yes. Move the control stick/arrow keys to the opposite direction of the gun window. If it comes from the left, move to the right and vice versa.
@@shtrudel9498 Thank you very much for the response. Also great video! I think that the best method to overcome insane combat tours is to take thugs one by one by isolating them from others. I call it myself as a "Divide and rule" method.

I call this "swing cancel" (because it's literally that): Take off the ground by pressing swing and before Spidey shoots a web, double jump.

@@rica3638 You hit boost (punch) and let go of the swing button in a very precise timing. I also double jump immediately after to further increase my speed.

how does damage stacking work?
There are 2 ways:
1. Alter between punches and kicks: punch>kick>punch>kick...
2. Change targets.
Either option increases the damage of the next hit, but combined, the damage bonus is even higher.

Do you know how to do wall bounces? If so, just finish them with a grab instead of a kick or punch.
(In case you don't know: You aim at the nearest wall and press punch or kick, then you can finish with punch, kick or the aforementioned grab.)

I can't lie this gameplay is better than SM Ps4's
It’s faster. The only real problem with USM is that there’s no real dodge mechanic you just jump out of the way.

But in otherwise we have *zero* combos on Spider Man Ps4, that combat is simple AF the only thing which can make that fun for a while is the variation between ground and air and the tons of gadgets Spider Man has on that game but shouldn't (10!? Spider Man should have like 5 or 4 types of gadgets, not fucking 10)

@@Lu1zF3l1pe Marvel has slowly converted Spider-Man to be Iron Man's disciple, aka Iron Boy.
Quite a shame that Spider-Man on the PS4 and future titles will all portray this perception with the obvious heavy reliance on gadgets.
