Activision spiderman serie was the best for me, despite the graphics of spiderman 3 yet I never got bored of playing this game bcz of the combos and the ability to merge the movesets
Thank god someone else appreciate the combat system of this game to me it’s the most satisfying and with the Black Suit your pretty much unstoppable as the Annihilator destroys everything
No other Spider-Man games combat system beats this one. SM3 is by far the most enjoyable and most satisfying especially along with the QTEs. I have no idea how Activision did it with this game, I just love it!
I don't think this is the best combat for a Spider-Man game, far from it in my opinion. But you truly have mastered the combat of this game and you make it look so cool, hat's off to you.
@@boxinglegendstv5981 I've recently come to the conclusion that both the new Spider-Man games for ps4 and ps5 are kinda outdated compared to how many different combos and different attacks there are in this game. I like how in this game the camera is moved back further too. In the new Spider-Man games it's 2 buttons. Square and triangle and you just mash them and do the same attacks over and over and over. No combos at all. So unfortunate.
Most say WoS has the best combat because the animations look better but mechanically SM3 played better and had a far better combo system, similar to good old beat em ups. Sad to see how bad it got with newer games like Arkham series where you spend most of your time pressing one button.
@@Dynamo33 They added gadgets maybe because Assassin's Creed and Arkham also got gadgets and the combat system is similar to those games. I hope Insomniac brings back a combat system with proper depth.

WoS was built off spiderman 3 and using its engine and SHABA games wanted to step things up in which they did

SM3 plays a lot closer to a beat em up, and we all know If fighting games were about mashing one or two buttons most of the time nobody would buy them! I wonder why🤔 WoS combat system was dumbed down on purpose to make the game more approachable so low iq idiots can pull off combos easily by mashing the same button. Next time wipe the dribble off of your mouth before calling someone else names.

personally i found that this game problem was how overly complex the combos in combat was compared to the enemy types of each gang (looking at you triads) and a whole list of problems this game was plague with i still saw how this game had a good combat system. all it needs is just some refining and It would've been overall a decent/ok mess of a game.

Takes way too many hits to defeat common thugs, not satisfying in the slightest, comes down to button mashing and remembering one or two of your favorite combos. Meh.
@@Kuzamer button mashing is spider man ps4 and miles morales. I love these games but is just button mash with any cool combo to do like ultimate spider, spiderman 2, spider man 3, etc
@@droquee3 That's not even close to being true. There's actual strategy and different variations of melee and gadget combat to be had in both Sony Spider-Man Games. In SM3 it's literally just press Square and Triangle until you find your favorite combo.
