Million Dollar Movies was our Sunday night habit every 9pm, parang eto ang pinaka netflix natin nung mga panahong yan... that movie block ran for almost a decade from 1988 until 1997 and replaced by ABS-CBN Megasine.
I was 2 y/o (almost couple of years later) when oftentimes I saw that ABS-CBN Satellite ident on every program plug whenever watching kiddie shows on the said network. Regarding that, my early childhood memory is unlocked. 🔓🔓
Before Sunday's Best sa ABS, eto ang movie marathon nung Linggo ng gabi, predecessor of today's Kapamilya Blockbusters. Uncut and in original dub, di kagaya ngayon na Tagalog dub tas kina-cut pa para sa mga TVC. Ghoulies II (1987), directed by Albert Band. Second movie of the Ghoulies film franchise. Parang Hollywood version ng mga undin sa Shake Rattle & Roll.
This show after The Sharon Cuneta Show and before Business & Leisure before going back to school on Monday 😩 Probably this is the reason why I know most of Hollywood movies at my young age. In 90’s, Clusivol Multivitamins was always the sponsor (not technically) until ‘97.

Ahh...Million Dollar Movies...yung times na hindi pa "Tagalized" yung mga Hollywood movies na pinapalabas sa local free TV...I remember watching "Star Wars Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi" on that particular block, ni-record pa nga namin sa Betamax yan eh...heheheh... 😀😀
@undustfixation Ang alam ko naitago pa namin yung mga Betamax tapes somewhere among our old possessions at home, but I'm not quite sure if they're still there, or if they're still playable...heheheh... 😅

Million Dollar Movies is where I saw Full Metal Jacket and Robocop 2. I also saw Oliver Stone's JFK and it ran past midnight due to being 3 hours long and commercials.

Hmm, yes, Million Dollar Movies Even though most of the movies suck and bomb at the box office. There are some good movies in there, but it's mostly movies that had a budget of a million dollars or more
