Bakkies (pick ups) are a fundamental part of South Africa life and culture for practical and even symbolic reasons , so not a surprise they get more advertising than car there. Many of such advertising are imported, so they lack a certain salty south african humor.

The HSBC one was SORT of banned, but only because of the "World's Local Bank" tag, ALL of those were pulled; as they werent - and still arent, a local bank. I dont know how many complaints were made, but the tag line had been used for YEARS at that point.

Funnily enough, the ban only held up over the ditch; Aussies were unbothered by 'bugger'”
Adverts from South Africa presented here were never banned. I remember them well. I stayed in SA for 27 years and say this: they have one of the best TV commercials in the world.
Robo-Chick does exactly what every classic car owner wants to when some doofus gets too close and scrapes keys, rings, jean studs, along panelwork. Definitely a goal kick.
That first Dorito one - that doctor I swear is an Australian woman from and Australian skit comedy show back in the 90's, Comedy Company or Fast Forwards... I swear it's her and she's put on an American accent for the ad...
I carried my daughter doing that out of a Dave and Busters once. I got a lot of dirty looks and I'm surprised nobody called the cops because it legit looked like I was kidnapping a kid. That was maybe 6 or 7 years ago and she hasn't done it since. I later had to go back to pick up my wife and sons since they got left there.
Multigenerational toyota hilux ads nice. True story: bought a 7th hand 34 year old hilux with 600k kms and on my way home did 200km with no brakes. Didn't die and still carries 3 tonnes of payload.
Basically, this is mostly just an extended ad for Hilux, pretending to be banned videos. The Doritos opener was funny, though, and the closing ad would certainly put people off having children.
I remember a couple of these videos, but the last one that kid would’ve been grounded for so long and I would’ve told him you want some to cry about I’ll give you something to cry about. I know it’s incorrect these days but my dad used it on me and my grandpa used it on my dad and his brother, made you stop crying right away
For the condom ad, just introduce yourself to a cashier and agree to secret cod where the cashier will know you want to return certain items you don’t want to purchase. Maybe this could strategic placement those items at the front. :-)
Bugger ad was never Banned in Australia...I mean it was our ad...so! But yeah most of the others are Tame and would never had an issue here. Some countries censors pretty soft TBH!
That last one has nothing to do with wearing condoms. You do that if your not looking to have a kid. This kid just needed to be taught better and reprimanded properly when doing wrong and you wouldn't get that.
Nah I’m good. Found something else that was funny instead. But if you are talking about the beer one that wasn’t banned either. That was on for a long time. It was just clickbait.
I found none of these ads offensive and that they should be banned. Some of them had me in stitches back when people had a sense of humor and didn't worry about hurting other people's feelings.
Minus a couple of breaks this is one big Toyota commercial.

Mostly one big Toyota New Zealand commercial...
No worries, the ads are funnier than the programs.
Yup, and the Toyota earned every one of them!
“Out of the way, sheep shagga…” priceless 🤣❤️🇷🇴
That's probably the line that got the commercial banned.
"Whot? Well whodya expect him to shag? A non-sheep? You some kinda pur-vert?"
Typical New Zealand slang.
"We'd like to draw your attention to the front seat, which is big enough for two cows." What a selling point.
It's the US version.

The last one should be mandatory viewing from grade school onward.
A lot of girls will act like the little boy when you tell 'em "No kids". I think we should make it a double bill.
Some very funny ads! The last one is savage! I think next time you should do an ad about a
Toyota Hilux; I can't remember the last time I saw one!
that last one cracked me up
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
The Heineken one with the guys acting like girls was hilarious
I loved those adverts 😭🙆🏿♂️😂😂
It was not banned. It was on tv in the Netherlands.
Yeah i remember that one too
"walking fridge" - the second one is missing!!!!!
Heineken - The Tube is a follow up
The wild boar in plate armor, with rocket launchers riding a motorcycle with his chimpr friend killed me 😂😂😂
The kid acts great in the tantrum ad at the end, lol
Bro these NZ Toyota ads gave me serious nostalgia😭💀

The last one with the screaming kid, my thought 'where's a bucket of cold water?'
These 😊Toyota ads are hilarious, and I actually remember some of them… “oh what a feeling, Toyota”😜😂
So funny, I use to love the Toyota BUGGER Adds 😂

Those are the tipe of adds we want to see! It grabs your attention and keeps you bound without Skipping!!
These were from a time when you couldn't skip ads 🤣🤣🤣
None of my kids would've done that in a supermarket more than once, guaranteed.

love the kia forte 2014 commercial. totally relatable

Those New Zealand adds are the best.

I remember some dodgy Toyota Hilux ads. You should consider including one of those in the next complation.
The cow one was gold

I love the Heineken ad. It made me laugh!!
Never saw any of them. Funny stuff. Thanks
New title: "17 Hilux commercials and a couple random others"
Banned? Some comments say otherwise. By today's standards they were very tame, because the whole world's gone nutz!
when do we get a Hilux ad that shows how to mount an AA gun??🤣🤣
Nah, no AA Gun, try a Gatling gun, one of the new high-speed ones!
thanks for sharing my support to bless you all
That one at 5:00 is great, and I got to experience first hand in China! The food sure was good at least, and I was stuffed!
Brilliant- if they were like that on our tv channels, then I might start watching them.
This has more toyota commercials than I see on tv in a year or two.

I have genuinely seen a kid like that in a store once.
The Toyota ad where the people said "Bugger" was not a banned commercial lol it was shown on tv 😂😂😂
Even the hilux one? It’s so harmless
I never knew the guy who played Ron Weasley from Harry Potter was also in a condom ad...
The Cattle Stop still works!

5:15 is my favourite one! 😍
Those are all good commercials, especially for the Toyota Hilux.
But the very last one should be seen by every single person in the world.
Why did these genuinely get banned
Sexism, cruelty to animals, catcalling, and so on. Anyway, the people who banned the love abortion more than condoms.
Yeah, it's one big Toyota commercial. We can't even buy them here in the States.
That's sad, they're all over New Zealand! Every Farmer has one or two.

Why would these get banned?
Strange that so many banned commercials were for Toyota trucks. What have those guys been up to??
I don't think the Heineken ad was banned, I saw it several times.
Seems Toyota has a hard time advertising in RSA.
The Australian/New Zealand ads seem normal. You would think they'd have more creative freedom over there but apparently fucking not eh?
That first one with the Doritos did make me laugh. Lost interest with all the HiLux adverts. Doubt any of these were banned.
but you really have to watch again for the very last one

the Hilux bugger ads were not banned - they were showed in Ozie

Toyota, used in South Africa, taken from the world.
This is one big Toyota Hilux commercial scam, right?

These are very funny (tongue in cheek ) - surely none were banned?
The first one was rightly banned.
Ok the first one and the last one 👍, don’t see why any of them were banned. Maybe before their time?
These were banned? Why? They're hilarious.
5:15 is the one for me.
HSBC The world's worst bank
Change the title to Hilux commercials
Why would the Heineken commercial be banned, FFS?
just watch the first and the last... The middle is one big Toyota commercial
Should be called Toyota Hilux commercials.
Given the circumstances, what else would one say?
Back when commercials were hilarious, catchy, and not woke and political.
LOL.
They're banned , but consider the number of views, people want to watch them. Forbidden fruit, n'est-ce pas?
The title of this is misleading. These ads are FAF 😂
