"By at that time, ABS-CBN prinetime programs were only broadcast nationwide *VIA DOMESTIC SATELLITE (DOMSAT)* through its provincial stations in Baguio, Cebu, Bacolod, Davao and its affiliate station in Zamboanga. Di pa uso noon ang *Simultaneous Nationwide Broadcast* through the whole day (meaning from morning till sign-off) kaya sa mga provincial stations, either local programming or yung mga tapes ng mga programs ipapalabas sa provincial stations either a day after its initial broadcast or maybe a week or two. Pero from TV Patrol to the end of The World Tonight, simulcast talaga siya from Manila.
Another thing, may local TV Patrol na nga ang provincial stations at that time bago ang national TV Patrol (which broadcast via satelite), example, TV Patrol Cebu. Minsan nga, sa mga local ABS-CBN stations e mga tanghali o hapon sila nagsa-sign on. (Pero) I think yung *Eat Bulaga!* nagsa-simulcast na ata yan sa mga provinces (via DOMSAT). As early as May 1982 kasabay ng pagpapakilala kay Coney Reyes as new female co-host replacing Chiqui Hollman unang nagbroadcast ang Eat Bulaga nationwide via Domestic Satellite (DOMSAT) kasama ng ilang RPN9 flagship programs like Newswatch evening and primetime newscasts.

Seriously, inabutan ko na may censorship na sa mga nabaril, duguan sa news programs. Nakababawas pala ng glimpse of reality ang censorship.

Uso na ang computerized chargen (character generator) noon para sa tinatawag na keys or lower thirds, ‘yung live text/graphics na nakikita ‘nyo sa TV.
At ‘yung over-the-shoulder graphics, ginagawa pa nang mano-mano over cardboard or cartolina na ilalagay sa isang stand o easel, tapos kukunan ng camera (see all the wide shots going to break and at the end of the newscast - may camera sa kanan na hindi nakatutok sa set o sa anchors most of the time…chances are, sa graphic board nakatutok ‘yun), at isu-“superimpose” sa shot ng anchor using the production switcher sa control room.
