The big difference between Dr. J and Jordan's FT line dunks is that Jordan dribbled down the floor and Dr. J didn't. It's a lot easier to get a good grip, palm the ball and run down for the dunk than it is to dribble down the floor and palm it off the last dribble while trying to hit your takeoff point.
If you can grip a ball, it’s not much different from doing it not dribbling to doing it while taking 2 steps off the dribble. It’s probably harder to palm the ball for longer than a few steps. I don’t agree with your “a lot easier” just because it’s easy for me to palm the ball off the dribble when I bring it into 2 hands. It’s hard for me to run while palming the ball. It’s all about the timing of when you start palming it. I don’t think the dribbling makes a big difference. It could make the timing of the jump easier if you aren’t dribbling, but it mostly depends on how you practice it. But anyway, if I can palm the ball just as easy while dribbling as running and palming it as I get close, these greats can do it better, easier. I’m sure most of the people who have played in the nba could palm the ball off of 2 steps, it’s really not that tough. Just my perspective from personal experience of course.

For me Jordan looks more graceful in the air with the leg kick and ball pump. That style he had can never be duplicated. Zach jumps like he's as light as a feather but he doesn't have much style to it due to his length and long arms.

Finally, I put Zach #3, Vince #4, and then everyone else!
Vince Carter all time dunking GOAT, but Dominique Wilkins gotta be the runner up all time dunking GOAT
Mjs head is so close to the rim on those free throw dunks vs everyone else including LaVine
Vince Carter is the coldest in-game dunker of all time.
You need to do a reaction video to Jordan Kilganon, you'll be shocked at the dunks he can do!
The dunk contest was great when the games great players participated
Alright, so the 2016 contest between Zach and Gordon was insane. I feel like a couple of Gordon's dunks were the most impressive of the contest, but the scores are capped at 50, and if you watch Lavine's dunk's again you can't really be mad at the judges giving him 50s! It was just unlucky for Gordon that some of the best dunks in NBA dunk contest history went to waste against Lavine that year.
Gotta react to Jordan Kilganon!!
Yall need to react to Shawn Kemp highlights
*Gotta react to Jordan Kilganon's dunks*
Y'all need to react to a Vince Carter highlights video. He was incredible.
Saw Clippers once to see David "The Admiral" Robinson play!!!
You should watch the final round of the '88 contest in Chicago. Jordan vs Wilkens.
Zack had the best slams of all time. Gordon had the BEST dunk of all time, but Zack killed every single one first try! Vince was the best OG, tho, revolutionized jamz, especially in game!
They should have shown Dominique's dunks slowed down and from different angles. He was the gold standard at the time. And you do know that Spud Webb is like 5'2"!
