    Hogan's face at Bret's Hall of Fame was hilarious. I remember they cut to him when Bret was talking about when the Hart Foundation did the Hart Attack on Vince at a bar, and Bret said "hulk always liked to stir up shit". Hulk's sourpuss face was priceless

    At least Hulk's honest about his comment being stupid. Hart was already the heavyweight champion. He won it in late 92'. His interviews had improved, and his singles matches were unmatched. A clean pin on Hogan would've shot him into ultra stardom, and unlike the Ultimate Warrior, Hart was the consummate worker - reliable, took care of whoever was in the ring, always showed up, jobbed when he had to, etc. He deserved it. Plus, it would've made for a fun match to watch, if not the technical masterpiece of Hart/Hennig/Summerslam.

      ***** It's tarnished Bret for me a bit. He always talks about his "legacy", and he puts down quite a few people in interviews. Anyone who slights him in the smallest way is trash to him. He's over 50 years old, so there's really no excuse for that sort of pettiness at this point.

    Bret is on record saying that 'The Natural' inspired him to come up with his catchphrase. Rosenberg is a big Bret Hart fan, so I imagine he knows this fact too. Credit to him for keeping a straight face while Hogan tried to take credit for the catchphrase.
    Rosenberg always asks intelligent questions and wears his passion for wrestling on his sleeve, which is probably why his interviews are so good. Really enjoyed this one.

    Would the Hulk Hogan character get over so much if he was brand new today? I doubt it. What he did for wrestling was great in the 80's, no doubt the man is an icon, but he is also full of shit and looks after no 1. It's not up to a wrestler to decide when it's someones time, hulk had too much of an influence on who was pushed to suit his own needs, thats the truth

  • @joeybrabham

    Hogan's right about that, It's not about wrestling or story lines anymore, it's all about tv ratings. Back when hogan was in his prime he was never on regular programming like prime time or superstars, maybe a promo and off to the payperview, kept things hot! Everything is about tv now, things change!

    I think Hogan vs Austin is that dream match we all might of wanted to see but it just wasn't reality. Hogan v.s Rock at WM18 was what we got instead and it blew the joint off the place, was the premier match of the PPV and propelled Hogan to one more solid run. By the time they could maybe have faced off they were both very beat up and it would've been a major disappointment.

    Such as not having a big WWF champion vs WCW champion superbout, merging the WCW into the "Alliance" with ECW and finally making WWF wrestlers join the alliance to really ruin the WWF vs WCW angle he could have cashed in on.
    Even if Vince wasn´t able to bring Goldberg, Nash, Hall, Hogan, Steiner to the WWF, he at least could have had a good Austin vs. Booker T unification bout, with Austin winning and unifying the belts.

  • @warriord26
    @warriord26 11 лет назад

    hulk hogan is lying about ultimate warrior because of the truth that warrior put out about him. Warrior at the time was no flash in the pan. He was the only guy in 6 years that everyone had doubt in hulk hogan could beat. Warrior just didn;t stay in the business and had other plans for himself. Other wrestlers have sais the same thing about Hulk. Warrior just seemed to put the nail in the coffin because hulk knows the power Warrior has with the fans and is trying to save his name of what's left.

  • @rokkvi1
    @rokkvi1 12 лет назад

    I think Stone Cold had pretty much stopped wrestling when Goldberg came to the WWE. Vince really blew it with the invasion where he should have brought Goldberg in to face Austin. In a way I also think Stone Cold should have gotten the match with Hogan instead of the Rock, but there were also some good reasons for the Hogan-Rock match such as Stone Cold being injury plagued and because Hogan and the Rock both had been doing some Hollywood stuff.

  • @nWoWolfpacTV
    @nWoWolfpacTV 13 лет назад

    @TurkRapVideo Yes in your eyes Stone Cold is bigger but that is simply your eyes. You say you tune in to anthing Austin appears on or shows up.....& you think the same thing can't be said for Hogan?
    Everything you are saming to me is simply your own bias opinion. Look at it objectively & logically.
    If TNA could sign 46 year year old Austin yeah it would be huge. If Hogan was 46 years old when TNA signed him it would have been a bigger deal. TNA siging 56 year old Austin wouldn't be as big

  • @nWoWolfpacTV
    @nWoWolfpacTV 13 лет назад

    @TurkRapVideo Hulk Hogan's run lasted from 1984 to 2000 & then part time from 2002 to 2006.
    Hogan was responsible for the 80's boom & played huge role in 90's boom. Hogan is huge in Japan also.
    Austin's run lasted from 1997 to 2003. He was injured in 2000. He was huge part of 90's boom. He may have become bigger then Hogan at one time but his tenure on top didn't last anywhere near as long as Hogan.
    Hogan is the biggest name in wrestling history. No Argument.

  • @nWoWolfpacTV
    @nWoWolfpacTV 13 лет назад

    @jamille5150 He promoted TNA a lot when they moved to Monday Nights....you also got to realise that Hogan was out for quite a long period from like September 2010 to March 2011 with his back surgeries. He trended on twitter when he was in UK radio to promote TNA but he trended cause he said a few comments about UK riots also at time.
    Sure he could promote TNA more, but it's not all down to Hogan, TNA should be fixing up these appearences for him. Im not behind the scenes so i don't know.

  • @nWoWolfpacTV
    @nWoWolfpacTV 13 лет назад

    @2fresh37 Source - Powerslam Magazine in the UK (very credible). Most of TNA's income is derived form TV deals they have around the world. Hogan's salary was offset by Spike TV increasing the TV rights it pays TNA. TNA turned a profit in 2008 & 2009 & that is a fact. Sure they brought in Hardy, Flair, RVD etc. but they get rid of Lashley, Booker T, Steiner. I can't be bothered to elborate more but TNA makes money from many other revenue streams.

  • @nWoWolfpacTV
    @nWoWolfpacTV 13 лет назад

    @2fresh37 Ask yourself this do you know how much revenue is made from Hogan merchandise & the percentage profit? Can you really gage the level of mainstream publicity Hogan has got TNA? Do you know what doors the Hogan name has opened for TNA in terms of advertising, sponsorship, licensing etc., Do you know how many TV deals internationally have been made due to Hogan's TNA association? TNA does not release PPV buyrates. At the end of the day TNA extended Hogan contract.....speaks for itself.

  • @nWoWolfpacTV
    @nWoWolfpacTV 13 лет назад

    @flair420 Get your facts straight. Austin was the one who refused to to work with Hogan not vice versa.....
    If Hogan put over The Rock why would he not have put Austin over? Why did Hogan in that period also put over Undertaker, Triple H, Kurt Angle & Brock Lesnar?
    Reason it didn't happen Hogan explains in the video the babyfaces were upset with the nWo getting cheered. Austin obviously was smart enough to know that he had chance of being booed against returning Hogan at Wrestlemania.

  • @nWoWolfpacTV
    @nWoWolfpacTV 13 лет назад

    @ryanhitmanfury Oh yeah & where did you hear that? Why does Austin follow Jarrett on Twitter? why when i asked him if he has heat with Jarrett on twitter did Austin say "no heat, wrestling is a competitive business"?
    Austin didn't want to work with Jarrett because he didn't think his work was" Main Event Style" & like Hogan said with Bret didn't think he was ready....keep in mind this was after 3 weeks of Austin giving Jarrett Stone Cold Stunners. Don't belive your BS story.

  • @nWoWolfpacTV
    @nWoWolfpacTV 13 лет назад

    @2fresh37 NEWSFLASH he is still relevant.....he is still the biggest most well known name in wrestling history. He still mianstream TV everyweek not just in the US but all over the world for Impact Wrestling, he was the headline attraction of TNA's most recent PPV (regardless if you dislike that fact). He is still able to get on ESPN, Howared Stern, Fox News, American Idol.....etc.

  • @nWoWolfpacTV
    @nWoWolfpacTV 13 лет назад

    @Tellthatruth Exactly, along with Piper, Sting, Goldberg, Luger, Flair, Billy Kidman etc. Hogan even put over Jaces Rogeau in 1997 at a WCW House Show. He put over Ultimate Warrior in 1990. In 2002 he put over The Rock, Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle, Undertaker, Triple H.....
    Hogan is a "cancer" but Austin refuses to work with Jeff Jarrett & Billy Gunn & refuse to job to Triple H (at Summerlsma 1999) & Brock Lesnar.....double standard

  • @nWoWolfpacTV
    @nWoWolfpacTV 13 лет назад

    @43yeba What? so you don't believe that Hogan said Bret Hart was not ready for the Main Event? You think that Bret Hart refused a handshake from Hogan backstage at 2006 HOF didn't happen? You don't believe that the babyfaces were pissed in 2002 when nWo were getting face pops?
    Seems to me Hogan was complete honest about his side of story yet Bret Hart never explains his heat with Hogan but instead takes petty shots at Hogan about Graziano......yeah ok Bret your brother Bruce Hart is a pedo.

    Not saying that I haven't done it myself, (I'm working on posting only kind or helpful comments now)
    It also might be what they've read he did in the NWO/WCW and I think people are uncomfortable with seeing a legend they grew up with 'tarnishing' his legacy by continuing to wrestle when he's the age he is.

  • @guspappas1
    @guspappas1 12 лет назад

    truth is, at that time (1992) i didn't consider bret a heavyweight champion caliber wrestler until about 1994-95. And hogan could not lose to a scrawny 215 pounder bret hart at the time, when hogan was the icon of wrestling. It just wouldn't fly with fans at that time. Hogan is right, at that time bret was a midcarder, intercontinental champion at best. He became a world champion caliber wrestler later on.

  • @OrO2102
    @OrO2102 12 лет назад

    BS! it was supposed to be Austin vs Hogan, but the two men didn't agree on the ending of the match! then the second option (as awways) was rock facing hogan. Even Austin said in his DVD that he was supposed to wrestle hogan at WM. You can check that on wikipedia too!
    And how can you explain that the fans chose austin for the superstar of the decade? how can you explain the rock was booed at WM X7 againt austin, knowing that rock was the champ back then?

  • @OrO2102
    @OrO2102 12 лет назад

    why would vince lie about that? he doesn't care about anybody, all he cares about is the dollar!! he wouldn't say austin was the biggest if it was not true.
    Now for jeff hardy, if i remmember, i think he was fired because he was a drug addict! you can't make a drug addict the face of a company!!
    And you say, they keep down ziggler punk and bryan. to tell you the truth, i rarely watch raw nowadays! but i guess if these guys are not the main event or whatever, maybe they don't have what it takes!

    Bunch of BS!!! Austin is a wrestler, not a movie star! he may have been in 2 or 3 movies, but just to keep busy! i don't gve a fuck if rock makes it in hollywood! and it's not vince who decides who's a big star! it's the fans! because if you don't draw money, vince mcmahon won't give a shit about you! and austin draw more money thany anybody, that's why he was always on top! i'm not saying rock is not a big star, matter of fact i like the rock, but i'm just saying austin is bigger than him!

    Hogan is not overrated and makes a lot of sense Bret is a great wrestler but too narcissistic and hogan has better ring psychology and it's good hogan didn't bring him to tna he can't wrestle it would have been good to see Bret vs sting but he can't wrestle anymore so that would be a waste tna just needs to be innovative again and have more hardcore matches as well as longer mat wrestling matches

  • @Cyberpunk747
    @Cyberpunk747 13 лет назад

    There is obviously little truth to his story about Bret and he is nothing but clueless. When almost every single guy who Hogan didn't take under his wing dispised him and thought of him as a selfish bastard there is probably a connection. The man can't put together a sentence without putting himself over.
    I bet the only people Hogan has truly respected in the biz was Macho Man, Superstar Billy Graham and André.

  • @terracottapie
    @terracottapie 13 лет назад

    @terracottapie Yes, 18 months is a short time when you consider that from 1994 to 2011, Hogan was ratings poison, EXCEPT those 18 months.
    WCW briefly got popular, because people were EXPECTING something big to happen. Guys they knew as big stars in the WWF were suddenly on another show and threatening to cause havoc. It built great tension. There was also the curiosity to see Hogan with a new gimmick. But then nothing happened. It was just typical cowardly heel no-clean-finish bullshit.

    dID hOGAN JUST SAY Bret Hart isnt a main event guy??........hogan did not block bret , bret block him self because he wanted nothing to do with crappy tna and hogan , hogan ran from bret for years and never wanted to get in the ring with him, bret hart is the best there is and hogan never wanted to put bret over, hart is a real wrestler hogan was nothing but a roid user, and all hogan cares about is money

  • @terracottapie
    @terracottapie 13 лет назад

    @m2diggs Oh. OK. So Hogan was in WCW + TNA for a total of about 10 years and they were out of the ratings toilet for a total of about 18 months. Coincidentally, this happened when WCW signed a bunch of actually popular guys for Hogan to hang out with. And then eventually, his unpopularity even dragged them down, too.
    I guess that means he is ratings gold!
    You Hulk Hogan fanboy worshipers are hilarious.

  • @terracottapie
    @terracottapie 13 лет назад

    @m2diggs OK, let me see if I got this straight. Whenever Hulk Hogan is around for a steep ratings decline, like 1988-1994 WWF, or 1998-2000 WCW, or the last few years of TNA... "IT'S NOT HIS FAULT! THEY DON'T HAVE ENOUGH MONEY!! IT'S THE BOOKING!! WAAAAH!!!" But when WCW has one extremely brief run of success for less than two years, it's all him?
    Are you Brooke Hogan using an alias?

  • @2fresh37
    @2fresh37 13 лет назад

    @nWoWolfpacTV I'd like to see your sources. Because they have so much Ex-WWE talent, those wrestlers are required higher pay, just because their value is 'higher' since they were there. That is the case for any former WWE talent, alas the aforementioned Hemme. Again, another separate issue worth arguing , how much and which ex-WWE talent is actually worth having? All those salaries alone can cause huge deficits. Yes, I did see the Hall piece, and learned about the killing today also.

  • @qzzngwilly
    @qzzngwilly 13 лет назад

    @terracottapie just lol if you think Hogan is the reason why WCW fell apart. It's the convenient IWC nerd excuse, but that's not factual at all. WCW fell apart because of a.) Russo, but primarily the #1 reason was because Turner was done giving two shits about WCW anymore. When your main source of income has no interest in promoting ANY wrestling business anymore, you don't have a business. So he got rid of it.

  • @2fresh37
    @2fresh37 13 лет назад

    @nWoWolfpacTV- Like I said one can argue yes or no. It is hard to actually point out, as you said Panda Energy doesn't release TNA revenues and expenses. Yes they have new sponsorships, 'Direct Auto Insurance"? lol, but hey money is money. There has been reports that Panda has been losing a lot of money from TNA, which raises the main issue. TNA and bad business management. Why pay Christy Hemme $ 100,000+ just to be a ring announcer? Dixie is simply bad, and Hogan is just trying to hang on.

  • @2fresh37
    @2fresh37 13 лет назад

    I agree with you in the point where yes he does show up in mainstream media still, but it's because like I said he is a LEGEND that made millions watch him, and pro wrestling, that can never be taken away from him. The reason he signed with TNA is to help in a business stand-point. Is there evidence of that happening? One can easily argue yes and no. However, I believe he is using this platform to stay relevant. I don't see Jordan being the main focal-point of the Charlotte Bobcats. It's ego.

  • @terracottapie
    @terracottapie 13 лет назад

    @qzzngwilly So in other words, whenever people unanimously reject Hogan and his shitty matches, you have a different excuse for it. What was your argument when his shitty matches and backstage meddling brought down WCW? They certainly had the financial backing to run a viable company, and still, no one bought Hogan's shitty PPVs with him as the main event, and the whole company fell apart.

  • @TheShitfobrains

    Everyone in Tna keeps saying how AJ Styles is the future of Tna and this and that, Styles should be to TNA atleast what Randy Orton is to WWE, he was poised for that when he won the title at B..F.G in 09, the they gave him Flair which was good, till they tried to turn him into Flair, now he is fueding with daniels again? it should have been Aj and Bobby Roode at BFG, this year Angle is a joke of what he once was

  • @ghostspectre2452
    @ghostspectre2452 11 лет назад

    I think the Warrior is a hypocrite. WWE essentially pissed all over the Warrior, but yet he came back for the video game paycheque. Hogan did business as all wrestlers should, to put themselves in a position to be successful for as long as possible. Stepping on others along the way is just a part of being in an ultra-competitive industry.

    @m2diggs Hogan was in WCW from 1994-2000. The ratings were in the toilet the whole time, except for a brief period of 18 months before the novelty of the nWo wore off and shitty Hogan matches ran it into the ground.
    So do you want to explain why WCW's ratings were horrible with Hogan at the top of the card for 4 years before the nWo started?

    @looder22 Neither do I but the same can be said for anyone in the public eye....so here's a tip go and get a job with the wrestling business, get to a position where you're privy to what actually happens in the business then you might be of a better authority to tells those who tell the truth from those who lie.

    @nWoWolfpacTV - I know Austin had beef with Jarrett because back when Austin was starting in the biz he was sitting with his money for the night in his hand. Jarrett supposedly said, "it's not gonna get bigger staring at it".
    If I was Austin I'd be sure to sabotage someone who acted a dick years before.

    @terracottapie Everyone expected TNA to compete with WWE, simply because they were another wrestling show on TV. It's not that simple. TNA has ALWAYS been a shitty promoter of their shows; doesn't really matter who is in charge. They don't have the financial backing that WCW had, and thus they'll NEVER be at an elite status, no matter who runs the show.

    Hogan might talk a lot of shit but look who stole the show at BOUND FOR GLORY, Give him some credit performance wise and i dont care if u say he only has 4 moves the guy has charisma in the ring, now as far as booking a show and on the creative end of things i think he thinks he knows what hes doing but its obivious he dont know shit

    In a shoot interview, Bret Hart said that he and Hogan took photos for the SummerSlam '93 poster: the two of them having a tug of war with the belt. He refused to job to him and the boys in the back was made with him for not doing so. The latter was actually confirmed by "Big Lazy" Kevin Nash himself.

    @nWoWolfpacTV nothign at all TNA still gets the same ratings it did 6 years ago theres no mainstream press for TNA cuz eveyrbody talks about Hogans wwe Days and his failed marriage and his crappy midget wrestling show sure TNA May make profits but really TNA is no bigger than they were 6 years ago

  • @terracottapie
    @terracottapie 13 лет назад

    @qzzngwilly Yes, TNA's ratings have always been shitty. But you just said people "will still pay to see Hogan". Why isn't anyone paying to see his shitty PPV appearances? Their one PPV with all the X-Division guys withoug all the old fats on it, did better numbers than the others do.

    @nWoWolfpacTV but is he promoting TNA?? he only promoted BFG out of 12 ppv's TNA has he goes to promote BFG ok thats fine but what about the other 11 ppv's More ppl want to know about his EX Wife than they do TNA..........

  • @qzzngwilly
    @qzzngwilly 13 лет назад

    @terracottapie For the reasons I stated below. It doesn't matter who is in charge. Tna doesn't have the wallet to have good ratings or PPV buys. This isn't nor ever will be WCW in their hay-day. They don't have the backing.

    If you think about it; Hogan is known to slam big guys (ie Andre the Giant, Kamala, Bundy,etc) so having Yoko beat him as he's leaving WWF/E made sense. Bret Hart made his own mark in the end.

    rock may have been such a huge draw for those years but overall Austin made more money for the WWE and Rock wrestled everybody. Austin didnt face Lesnar either so whats your point of Rock vs Hogan

  • @basedelon
    @basedelon 13 лет назад

    @nWoWolfpacTV - I read it somewhere a long time ago. Maybe Austin's stance has changed over the years, hell it may have never even happened. You always hear 2nd-hand stuff in wrestling. Don't hate.

    @Rich0591 Yes, you did. He only held the title for 23465411065441 days in WCW, and won the title in his very first match there. So OBVIOUSLY he was doing jobs constantly.
