Finally upgraded to the LCI LED Trim, I'm super happy with the way it turned out.

I did this to my car last night, and oh boy was it painful to do. I found it very difficult to loosen up the narrow end of the part (under the passenger’s vent) that runs across the dashboard. I left the connectors in placed and worked around them because I just couldn’t undo them. The end result was worth it.

I just snipped both connectors off and soldered them together and heat shrunk.. works well didnt have to wait and buy a y cable from china

You can buy pieces with y cables built in for 30-40 bucks nowadays
Question- sorry to bring back an old video. I had a phone holder that fits into the CD drive slot, bend the little felt bristles out of position in front of the CD drive on my m2. They won’t fall back down into place now and it bothers me. Is the felt bristles/dust cover for the CD drive on that piece you removed or is it actually apart of the silver colored internal CD drive itself? It looks like it is part of that exterior piece... let me know please. Cheers!

My pre lci f30 has the lighting package so I have ambient lights on the doors, footwells and the little pot lights on the pillars. I’ve heard that if you buy this accessory piece aftermarket, it is significantly brighter than the other lights. Is this true? I don’t want it to look aftermarket or tacky.

Easier to buy pre-made cables off ebay. Quite cheap and they work. Building your own and buying the wires and right connectors can be quite expensive.

Hello, I tried instal retro fit radio led. Right after when I plugged it on the cable , radio completely turned off, with every AC/volume control. My wipers turned on by end self’s, turn signals stopped working and all buttons in the steering wheel. Does anyone know what it is? I already changed all fuses in FEM. didn’t help.

You can just buy a y adapter from eBay for as little as £4.00 (from China) here in the uk so no more than $8-10. From my experience of buying bushing contacts and plugs from BMW, buying a pre made adapter would be considerably cheaper. 👍

How did u get that wire out of the radio trim? I tried with the knife and it still won’t come out
I can't get mine out either, I've tried pliers and a knife and pry tools and now it's a bit mangled but still in place.

I took everything off and realized I don’t have a cup holder light there’s no wiring or anything but there is a hole in the trim for the light smh
