- A family statement confirms Emmy-winning actress Anne Heche has been declared legally dead a week after she crashed her car into a Los Angeles home. Police say Heche had drugs in her system at the time of the crash and suffered a severe brain injury that sent her into a coma. NBC News’ Anne Thompson reports.

I hope the lady who was injured by the car driven at speed into her home makes a full recovery - and successfully sues the actress’s estate for enough to rebuild her home (or buy another), pay her medical expenses, and for compensatory damages for trauma. She deserves more than a brief sentence in news reports. Her “story” would have been central if the DUI driver had not been a celebrity.

So many people are not living not to 60 but 55. It is not unusual to hear of people who have used drugs to die not to be distinguised from those with physiical problems, but may they are the same.

I didn’t understand when my mom died, she was still breathing how could she be dead.Didn’t realizie machine kept heart pumping. She was brain dead! She would have been a vegetable the rest of her life. Doctors said it wasn’t practical for her or the family, no quality of life. So we had machine turned odd. My mother had the most beautiful white skin, but the minute machine turned off, she went a pale grey and turned cold. I was shocked. She had a brain aneurysm. Killed her instantly I think. But kept on life support for family to gather. She went quick, so very lucky in that sense no lingering suffering. RIP Anne

Sad story but when someone has the resources that Heche had, they are responsible for their own rehab. Millions of people with far less resources do their best to remain sober. She's been at this for decades.

Really? DUI. Plows through a house at high speeds. House on fire. Resident injured and taken to hospital. Probably has medical bills and is now homeless. She didn't go out peacefully.
It's worth noting her car was going so fast that it impaled the house by 30 feet and then ignited, setting the house on fire. Essentially she turned her car into a ton-and-half bullet. 😳 I say "she turned" because it appears she was intoxicated, which is a felony DUI because there was a victim.

Heche was probably in a blackout when she sped into that home and crashed. It's not an excuse for her, it's a guess. She's gone now, may she find the peace she so desperately could not find in herself. Bless her children and keep them well.

She was in absolute shock. That's why she had the energy to raise herself up from the gurney. And hostile invisible entities enter people when they are high giving them sudden, unusual strength especially if trauma occurs (sometimes). She experienced a head injury. The Dr.'s surely sedated her with powerful medication. Perhaps her injuries were too severe and she fell into a coma, then she fell into Death. Moreover, other people with secret knowledge will call her death a "Sacrifice" especially as it relates to the new progressive movement and will use her past relationship and the experience thereof which was deemed unacceptable then, as a Win for them in 2022. The deceased often get used in life and in death, but there is One, who shall have the last laugh of whom mocking will totally cease and desist.

Of course they need to pursue testing and their investigation. Several lawsuits are no doubt in the offing. Medical findings will be part of the legal record. It needs to be complete.
Of course there was narcotics in her system she had a mental illness that needed medication which a r e classified a narcotic.. but of course it was leaked to the Press that she had cocaine in her system don't know if it's true or not!
The victim does need to get her home fixed.

We do live in an overly litigious society but that being said, who was her drug connection?
I ask that because of whom she had visited that day.
I say that because yrs ago, I owned a salon. Many of the wealthy and professional people that frequented had substance abuse problems.
The first salon I worked in, 80% of the employees were either alcoholics, drug addicts or both and that was in an upscale community.
One girl I worked with in the next salon had a cocaine problem and had been hospitalized for it. I bought the salon and she was still an employee. After she left, a client told me that she was having drugs delivered to her in my salon and left in the rest room as her tip!!!!!!! I was so disgusted, but recalled how a couple of previous coworkers had clients do the same thing in the previous salon!
Was she getting more than just a red wig in her salon visit? No doubt the authorities will be hot on this one!
I feel bad that she continually struggled. I feel very bad for her son's and all of her friends and loved ones!
It's reported she was driving under the influence. There's literally thousands of precedents and numerous laws broken.

On 9/11 2001, she flew to Toronto to promote her book “call me crazy”. She was scheduled to present it in a big Canadian bookstore. I was there and decided to go in spite of the events. At the time, I did not really realize what happened.
The presentation started at 11.00 am or 12.00 pm. She started her speech explaining she flew from Boston that very “fatal” morning. And she could have been on one of the planes crashing in these twin towers. So of course, she was very emotional. And she went on talking about her relationship with Helen Degenere, and her new life. It is mind-boggling when you realize she had to deal with fate several times in her life.

No..the lady tenant was NOT injured. She was interviewed that day several times and said she was two feet from where car stopped and didnt harm her or her two dogs n turtle.
