  • In 1995, Dr. Saray Stancic was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Within a matter of years she was already reliant on a cane to walk and doctors told her that eventually she would be confined to a wheelchair. Frustrated by her deteriorating health and lack of options, she began doing research on her own. What she discovered was so much more than she could ever have hoped for.
By changing her diet and reintroducing exercise, her health returned in dramatic fashion. Today, she no longer needs a cane and is walking freely without assistance. She no longer requires medication and is looking forward a future without a wheelchair!
On this episode of The Exam Room™, she joins “The Weight Loss Champion” Chuck Carroll to share what she learned and how it revolutionized her health! Dr. Stancic also reveals how the same diet and lifestyle changes that she made could eliminate up to 80% of all chronic disease cases, including heart disease, diabetes and cancer!

    Fantastic!! 👏👏👏
Listening to this takes me back to early 2000 when I was young man, being diagnosed with MS. Long story short, at the time I was eating an ovo-lacto-vegetarian diet ie eating an omnivorous diet; but swapping one animal product for another. Especially eggs, I ate a lot of eggs. I went vegan 5 years later (for the animals, didn’t care or know anything about health), quit the meds and have now been symptom free and vegan for 16 years! I’m turning 42 this year and I’m feeling better now than in my late 20s! As a matter of fact, I don’t take any medication, haven’t even had an aspirin in over a decade! It’s crazy, back then I was picturing myself in a wheelchair, in my early 20’s, thinking my life was over. Now I’m twice that age, jogging, power walking or in-line skating almost every day, and in better shape than many my age.
Regarding the neurological doctors I’ve met, and diet, the response I recall is a smile or a chuckle.

@@ooo789456123 That sucks. I know, it is all woowoo to them, they haven’t looked into it at all - aaaand many doctors are not even aware of or want to believe a vegan diet can help (they didn’t hear about it in medical school, it’s like it’s all about treating symptoms with medicine, because that’s where the money is..)
And you know how most people believe everything anyone with MD attached to their name will say, or maybe, not say.

I had a divine appointment with a stranger at Natural Grocers while looking for grassfed and finished corned beef for St. Paddy's Day. Long story short, he told me about Game Changers and how it changed his life, to which I replied that I was organic/non-gmo/grassfed and finished and raised my own chickens for eggs and have dairy goats. But I said I'd watch it. A week later, I watched it and by morning I was wfpb! And my whole family is now too! 2 of my 4 children were diagnosed with MS, and have been following a modified Swank Diet since 2008. I think wfpb is the tweak we needed! It always surprises me how a lot of these presumably intelligent and professional people are so slow at having their ‘ha ha’ moment regarding the possibility of connecting food with medical conditions- for as long as I can remember there has been a saying ‘you are what you eat’ and so not to consider food and lifestyle as the No 1 culprit at an early stage always surprises me. For example, if peanuts and food allergies have the power to cause death then it is so obvious to me , as a person of average intelligence, that food can be the main ingredient for every ailment ranging from acne to the most life threatening diseases. I am aware that food and nutrition is not a topic included or studied at any depth in medical school but that is no excuse- common sense can go a long way and it annoys me that many GPS would rather hand out a pill rather than delve into what a person may be consuming or poisoning their body with -

It can be confusing. Mainly because Nutrition is not taught in medical school. However many doctors have educated themselves by reading the scientific literature. I would recommend reading Mastering Diabetes. Written by Cyrus Khambata, PhD and Robby Barbaro, MPH, both with type one diabetes. They site 100's of scientific papers to support their recommendations of a Whole Food Plant Based Diet. You can find them on RUclips giving presentations or being interviewed to hear them before you purchase. The good news is that there is a growing movement (supported by vasts amount of scientific evidence) by docs like Dr. Stancic and others to change medical school training. Neil Barnard, MD., Michael Klaper, MD., Dean Ornish, MD., Michael Gregor, MD., Will Bulsiewicz, MD., Caldwell B. Esselstyn, MD., John McDougall, MD., and a HOST of others all have been sharing the benefits of plant based nutrition for years. Find yourself a Lifestyle Medicine doctor (the most recent of board certifications). You can go to PCRM.org website to look for one. Lifestyle Medicine advocates a WFPB diet. Best wishes on your journey to health.

If the body of evidence is there that shows that plant-based eating is healthy, then wouldn’t it be negligible of a doctor to not be on top of the latest research and body of evidence? It’s sickening to hear that they “aren’t happy” when they hear that food and not money driven Medicine is what helped someone.
For them to not understand or know anything about the benefits of plant-based eating to me sounds like they are not staying on top of what it takes to be a doctor which the number one reason should be to keep people healthy
If I was going to go into medicine that would be the number one reason (restore and promote health) not to mask symptoms and keep people sick
Doctors really need to get their heads out of their backsides. It’s not a far cry even for a lay person to believe that what you put inside your body Day in and day out would be the cause of symptoms that you are having. We are comprised of what we eat - duh

TV wardrobe departments have rules: no stripes, no zigzags, not too much fussy stuff, etc... no same colour clothes as background. Do you think scolding her to push your agenda is going to somehow achieve your goal, whatever that might be? Do you think God gave her MS? Do you think others must share your beliefs?
