I know the new turn out gear is safer. My cousin is on the cfd and I wanna join as well so im glad they are using it. But I gotta say I miss the old gear though. It just looked so much kooler lol.
The words "fire" and "furniture warehouse" together in a sentence should always kick in some pucker factor. Remember Charleston? See, a well-stocked furniture warehouse is basically a large, well ordered stack of wood, plastics, foam rubbers, solvents, varnishes, polymers, complex hydrocarbons, and upholstery fabric … held together by nice heat-retaining walls and with plenty of ambient oxygen to get rolling with. It's not so much a building as a bonfire looking for its chance to happen. Bonus points for copious amounts of thick, hideously toxic smoke.
STEVE IT'S CERTAINLY ON YOUR TOP TEN VIDEO EXCELLENT LIST. NICE JOB ON THE VIDEO & GETTING THERE EARLY. IT'S A SHAME THEY COULD NOT GET TO A WATER SOURCE EARLY. IT LOOKED LIKE A TOTAL LOSS BEFORE THE WATER EVEN STARTED. IT'S IMPORTANT TO NOTE THE CFD BROTHERS WERE SURE TRYING TO GET THE WATER GOING. IT' IS SURE A SAD SITUATION FOR THE EMPLOYEES TO START THE NEW YEAR WITHOUT A JOB.
10,000 liters, or 2,600 gallons, is enough to supply a master stream for about two minutes. In a fire of this scale, you need to establish a solid water supply, not rush to expend all your resources immediately.
Hahahah!! "Hey, just go to the gigantic blast furnace in progress!" "You mean that black cloud in the distance? Is that where we're going? Just wanted to be sure!"
mr.christian brault, thank u for ur comment. i didnot offend a particular instance, place, person but v in india here with minimal disposal at our place with even getting water is scarce, they the fire service people just somehow manage to put water with water boozers i.e., water tankers with ten thousand litre capacity and go with full steam to tame the fire. pls c in youtube paint godown fire in bangalore. good day
"Are you sure you have the address right? Are you sure? Do you want to go over it again?" "This is the Chief requesting water to squirt on the fire so the whole town doesn't burn down." What a bunch of dummy's. "Now we do have that address right, right?"

+Big Redd Best thing they ever did was give them the new gear, KOOL or not. the old gear was crap, and dangerous.
Big Redd you might like the look but the old style geat wasn't only a pain in the asd, it was cumbersome and unsafe.
cfd and rfd retired capt.
Excellent footage. It was a mean fire. Past by there about an hour ago roads still blocked off.
