Calling this card a "1080p" card has always seemed like such an understatement. You can run AAA games at 1440p on the 6600 (let alone the XT) without too much trouble as long as you're chill with the ultra settings.
The 6800 XT is though. I mean I waited from December 2020 to last month just to get one (bought it in December 2020 and was on back order until last month). It seems like Navi21 doesn't have many defective dies hence the over supply of 6900XT cards compared to 6800XT.
Fun fact: The “D” in Phantom Gaming D stands for “Disco” since the argb middle fan can also be used for sick dance party lighting if mounted vertically in a case with a clear side panel.
And it looks ugly as hell. One middle rgb fan two plain side fans. Looks like a job left unfinished. Either do it rgb either don’t mess with it. Asrock typically make unpleasantly aesthetically products. Like motherboards partially camouflage painted. Or black motherboards with white heatsinks.

Wow Anthony, I'm drooling, an AMD RX 6600XT. Anyway Anthony, thanks for an exquisite performance as always! PS I work with your Swedish twin brother, a honor.
I have a friend who works in a PC store and he said most common GPUs are easy to stock currently, the only issue is they are about 1.5x MSRP but they still sell to the desperate and mostly miners. So there you have it the issue isn't getting stock, it's the manufacturers and suppliers knowing they can upmark them and they will still sell for the time being. Here's hoping the new GPUs won't have amazing hash rates, if they will get ready for another 2 years of messed up prices and stock
It's weird that decided to market this at 1080p instead of just calling it a mid range card. It pairs pretty closely to the 3060 at higher resolution too
AMD marketing showed this vs RTX3060 and select games being faster, so the review should be interesting. In 1080p the 3060 can struggle in some games if you crank every setting, like in Dirt 5 and I'm sure there are other AAA games.
honestly, regarding 1080p gaming, I just honestly don't see the reason to invest in higher resolutions at this point. I got some A tier 1080p monitors and the cost to upgrade to 4k is still way to high (both in terms of monitors and suitable GPU power) for a smooth 4k experience. I rather have a smooth 1080p gameplay than 30 fps 4k for the same price
1440p exists, you know? I have a 1080p 144hz monitor but I used to play on Xbox and PS4 on a 4k tv. To be honest 1080p is not sharp enough. I recommend anyone with the money to buy a 1440p monitor and a matching graphics card.
The one thing this whole GPU scalper market has shown me is I’m 100% fine with a pretty old GPU. Watercooled GTX 980ti on a 3440x1440 gsync 120hz monitor. Even plays BFV mostly fine at low. 80ish fps. Honestly looks pretty good too. Pretty much any older game or esports game runs super well.
You know what Nvidia and Amd should do, they should either stop or severely decrease there production of 3090/6900xt's and focus more on mid to budget oriented Gpus to combat the shortage because it would be way more easy to make more of those cards cause of the smaller dies... anybody agree?

I've been 1080p gaming since the GTX460... I remember playing Skyrim as it launched on that, before going to 2x6970s. So even longer.
He's staring into my soul at 4:55. I have been blessed
He looked at your bloodbag!!
"that is huge for supply, and hopefully that will mean more cards" I hope so, getting 8 cards for a gpu rig is rough yo.
These quite some foam-fu skills!
Great to see Anthony infront of the camera more often!
So after a year of waiting to build my new rig I can buy a brand spanking new 1080p class GPU. Let me contain my excitement.
I am curious to see a teardown. Many AIBs put their VRM phase doublers under a purely cosmetic backplate, only for them to cook above 100°C and fail prematurely.
Will it run the original Doom in DOS @ 800x600 ? need to know for a friend :)
Oooh! whoever answers this question..can you also find out i this will run on win 3.1 in 640 x 480..and also if it is ISA VGA compatible aswell..? :)
Man I am so glad I built my PC in early august of last year
Jono's voice sounds so different in this video!
Hope he's healthy and alright!
For a dude with such thick arms, Anthony doesn't say "um" often enough. Truly memorable for the superb critical thinking and super clear oration, Tones!
I'm fine with my 1060, thank you very much.
Wow it actually physically exists, my 5700xt is scratching its upper casing with a confused look in it fans.
Guess the 7000 series is the one to wait for....
It's almost like 1080p is a good resolution
My friend always laughs at me in 4K saying that 1080p looks like vaseline smeared on the monitor now and he refuses to play in it. Freakin' nerd that guy.
Or AMD and Nvidia that charge incresingly higher price making you to stuck with the same f*cking resolution for ten f*cking years.
@@MatisseXV it's like games are getting more demanding or something....
@@jesusbarrera6916 Oh my. Games always become more demanding.
Try to compare the graphics of a 2001 title with 2011 titles.
And now the resolution: 800x600 vs 1920x1080.
Now do the same thing with 2011 titles and 2021 titles.
Yeah, now you have find the answer.
@@MatisseXV I am sorry were you playing at the high framerates back then too?
This guys voice is so soothing, great video.
Why did you even make this video? You literally spent the entire video making fun of the crappy packaging and making fun the thousands of us who still game at 1080p.
ASMR of unboxing graphics card was the awesome Anthony.
Wow Anthony, I'm drooling, an AMD RX 6600XT.
Anyway Anthony, thanks for an exquisite performance as always!
PS I work with your Swedish twin brother, a honor.
I Just bought a 1080p 144hz monitor to replace my 1080p 60hz one, and i still have the rx 580. This will be a great upgrade. Hopefully.
the foam is a nice bed to place the GPU on with the anti static plastic blanket of course
I legit busted out laughing when he tossed that foam 💀
Finally a company that has made the shroud in a way which it doesn't cover most of the side fins of the heatsink. Decent work Asrock.
Yeah not gonna pay $400 for a 1080p gpu at the end of 2021.
If it was $199, this card would have been amazing
hahaha when anthony threw the foam. We finally saw anthony rage quit...sort of. ;)
It's 1 AM at the moment but that's not going to stop me watching some shortcircuit :D
I'll bet the price is around $700.00 us and even that it will be sold out immediately and you probably wont even have a chance!
Anthony is such a chill guy. 🙂
It's Anthony. The video will be liked. He could be talking about how rocks hitting me improve my gameplay and I'd still like the video..
big LIKE for throwing the foam !
It's weird that decided to market this at 1080p instead of just calling it a mid range card. It pairs pretty closely to the 3060 at higher resolution too
I want that fancy “D” with tha RGB, you’re welcome video card marketing team...
We are going to need a fancy score for products going forward.
AMD marketing showed this vs RTX3060 and select games being faster, so the review should be interesting. In 1080p the 3060 can struggle in some games if you crank every setting, like in Dirt 5 and I'm sure there are other AAA games.
looks like you can saw those card 2/3 from I/O port and it's still gonna works!
0:05 - Best yeet throw of something in LTT history.
No facks.
honestly, regarding 1080p gaming, I just honestly don't see the reason to invest in higher resolutions at this point.
Anthony's voice is very pleasing to hear
I love myself an Anthony video on a Friday morning!
0:07 1080p 144hz on my right/main monitor for games, 4k 60hz on left for things like this video
also polychrome bad RGB
I'm ready for the D.
Although I'd take a Sapphire over an ASRock any day.
Linus came into the room and checked out the big Phantom D.
I have a 6700XT, 1080 king for years to come!
You know what Nvidia and Amd should do, they should either stop or severely decrease there production of 3090/6900xt's and focus more on mid to budget oriented Gpus to combat the shortage because it would be way more easy to make more of those cards cause of the smaller dies... anybody agree?
