Thanks for the love George! ❤️ When you're next down i'll give you the keys!
Your car does look mental had loads done, well looked after great content with the videos hoping to get an st in the future. 👍🏻
Glad to see the growth on the channel recently! Defo well deserved! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
That’s very kind will Thankyou :)
I see Max Branning left Eastenders a few weeks ago, I didn't realize he ended up working here.
Another great vid man. I’m a fairly new subscriber so appreciate you do little catch up bits of info so we still feel involved. Be nice to pop to a meet when lockdown is over I’m a Plymouth lad only have an x5 to bring along mind
I need to do my lower control arms. The adjuster bolt has seized 🙈 good old STs haha those seat will look sick!
Could you let me know mate how the conversion goes as I’m wanting to do the same asap
Day two should be an enjoyable video for everyone then!
If you haven’t already then head over to our Channel to check out what else we did in the background 😝
Yes indeed. They will see what was so wrong before in the next one :)
Boys please can you answer this, ever since I got my car and only when cold, my steering feels like it locks in centre when driving. It feels like a notchy rack but why does it only do it when cold? A couple garages have found nothing wrong, could it be the pump or even a weak battery (obviously have more things turned on when dark and cold) only lasts until everything heats up. Thanks in advance and George it's good to see you back bud 👍Apologies, just turned volume up again and yes, sounds exactly the same.
@@boabm6522 it sounds like it’s the common issue in the rack. We would recommend replacement; it’s something we’ve discussed in a few videos including Ben’s comment in this one.
There’s a few options: give us a call to discuss but your issue is the one Ben’s referring to in the video.
Thanks for watching both Channels buddy and your continued support 💙
@@BDPerformanceWrexham thanks for your reply and I most certainly give you a call, car's going off the road for a bit now defo needs fixed as m'way slip roads are no fun when your steering sticks dead ahead 👍
@@boabm6522 what colour is your PS fluid, may be worth giving it a flush before you splash out for a new rack, I also know the fiestas have a common issue with the steering UJ, could this be a problem with yours? Does it feel notchy without the engine on
🔥🔥🔥
Yes G back to the ST for some Mods👍🏼
Great energy in ur video
I absolutely love the leather original recaros, they are so comfy yet super sturdy..
Loads of fun cutting out the rear control arms. 😁
I have the autobeam LED DRL/FOG units on my ST, very worth while purchase and very bright!
Get yourself some LED h11 switchback bulbs from Autobeam, you can have white, yellow or a mix of both.
Had them on my ST and have now got some for my s3.
I had the stiffness and notchy feeling when cold on my steering, syringed out the reservoir and added Wynn's automatic transmission and power steering conditioner and stop leak.
Been as good as gold since.
Very Very Nice 💯💪🏼
Forced 🤔😂
The seats need brackets making to fit metal box tube is a good option or make and weld brackets to fit
Wicked video again mate 👌🏾
Where did you get the rear arms from ?
Bd sourced them for me mate I’d have to ask them later on today
@@GCMYT cheers mate
On the price of replacing bushes vs replacing the control arm, I gathered that it was cheaper to replace the whole arm only if you are upgrading to power flex bushes?
I needed new bushes on my Alfa Romeo as the originals were cracked, the lower control arms were around £130-£150 each, where as the factory bushes were only £25 each. So it was cheaper to just replace the bushes rather than the lower control arms as the extra labour time was offset by the difference in the parts
thanks youve answered whats happening to my rack, same symptoms
That RS looks like a right chavvy dogs dinner. Waste of a good car tbh.
You made me laugh because you said thank you in thai as woman would say thank you in Thai 🤣🤣🤣🤣
because of torque steer for that noise on the rack
Do they know a lot about mk3 st? When I accelerate at 50mph or higher the car shakes like I’m in an aeroplane ? But when I’m cruising at higher speeds there’s no issue only when accelerate
Great vid mate apart from the camera swinging all over the shop
Hi george, can you tell me what video the intro clip is taken from? cheers
some good tips there
I remember when that noodle bar was in the back of a tiny shop 😂
When was this filmed mate? I only ask because I want a block mod done but they are in Wales and I’m in England
Yeah it’s hard during lockdown dude.. book in for the future for sure :)
Even on VAG vehicles those bolts are getting sized so it's not something new. I have replaced mine and checked a lot of grease in them to stop it from getting stuck
Hi can you tell me if the bonnet led strip lights are legal in the uk (the ones that look like kit car lol)
Very interesting to see what's legal but I just mod and go 😂
All steering racks end up with the most wear in the central spot on the rack because that's where the pinion operates from for both left and right hand lock?
Yo that outro is so much bettet than the old one!
Thanks buddy. Hopefully we’ll have something even better than that :)
@@GCMYT keep the amazing content comimg bro! Just bought a Focus ST255 last December so I need some ideas 🤪
5.27 illegal green fog light covers. Well duh!
Your welcome.
ive seen some cars have red halo lights fitted lol or have tinted multi colour light lens
Had no idea Max Branning was a Mechanic!!!
It could be your cv joint or your driveshaft bearing
Is it just the numberplates and the foglights you been told to change then george ?
A couple things that will be revealed in the next few videos :) but a few less serious items will be removed in police videos incoming to use as demonstration, easier to help educate that way using examples :)
Didn't know Ben Mitchell was an st man??Hi Ben😂😂😂
Hey do you know if i can fit a ford focus mk2 bumper, from a 3dr hatchback onto a 5dr hatchback.
Isit compatible...
Yes it is possible :)
i have that knocking on my steering too any chance you would be able to let us no how to fix it what needs to be done too fix it
Mine has that flat spot what Ben said about would interested to know if it's a steering rack required or just a replacement part
@@michaelpemberton326 if you read the BD post mate answers the question needs new rack i just looked in the comments
Great video but jack all them in for the king that is the M140i.
Wanna take mine its not bosting properly and has a random oil leak around rocker cover lol
My Car Smax 2,5 ST 🥰
My car is going to be going there on Friday
It is indeed .)
Where you get your coat/jacket from?
Jack wills if its the green one your talking about :)
You didn’t link Alan’s channel in the description
All done :) sorry pal. I forgot :)
It’s allanyoungst225 incase you can’t find it
Wish I could hear what there talking about mate. Your really loud and you can barely hear them so stop watching.
Thanks for the kind words my guy. It’s easy to pick out floors. You should try doing these yourself :)
@@GCMYT wasn't trying to knock you. I just couldn't here them.
What mm spacers do you run?
20/25 :)
@@GCMYT did you have to trim the standard studs down?
The police content I didn’t fuck with at all like police can pull me over and literally take my car I ain’t changing my car for no one point blank.
I understand you not liking it. Obvs I can’t plz everyone, but the rules of the road are down to the police, Dvla and the government. We don’t get to choose what we want to be road legal. It’s your fault if you loose your license for not taking simple advice :) after all Owen the policeman is trying to help you guys not ruin your fun. He owns a stage 4 fast ford. Not sure he’s an anti car guy
@@GCMYT 🤔😏
I have plates like yours, don’t know if you know , they will become illegal from august 21.......
This isn’t true buddy. After all I’ve been making the content educating everyone on number plates etc. Take a look at my videos on tiktok and you’ll see the number plates videos with the police :)
you called yourself a girl in Thai... Ka is the female ending and krap/kap (depending on province) is the male ending
I wanna put those seats in my mk1 st170 can we get details on this
They’re not a straight swap to the mk1, modifications needed.
@@hogdog567 yeah I know I’ll have to mod my runners from chair n make sure they are three door ones or no ones getting in the back lol
Your steering rack is buggered and if you dont repair it youll struggle to turn.
Ok so its fine not gonna be detrimental to my health or anything
No the steering wont.. but the tree you drive straight into might be
My thoughts exactly....
I suspect it would get noticably worse before you'd have to worry.
@@boabm6522 most likely but when its knocking like that id assume the wear is already pretty bad... so how long until failure? 100 miles? 1000 miles? 10000 miles? Who knows.. and at this point i wouldn't risk it, and as a mechanic i would recommend a repair ASAP. Granted im not a ford mechanic im HGV and we are generally more cautious due to the size of the kit we work on but thats my personal opinion. I dont want anyones death hanging over my head
@@lukenobrains I served my time on trucks also (although not working as mechanic now), mine has knocked since buying it 2yr ago and has only just started getting worse (20,000 miles), steering faultless when warm though. If it were constant and at a point of worry then I would've got it done sooner.
Try thai is the BEST
I made my car legal last year put a cat on as when I bought it it didn't have one
Steering rack gets a flat spot which leads to the wheels not turning properly and this guy says nothing to worry about, not going to affect my health?
Say what now?
I’m pretty sure that is a significant problem and I’m sure you’ll agree if you find yourself unable to steer round a corner, past and obstruction etc
I thought that myself wtf
Good vid but the title is misleading / click bait. No ones "forced" you todo anything.
Vxr recaros
Jesus christ haven't you stopped noshing off the police force yet?
It’s my job pal, by all means go watch another yt channel :)
@@GCMYT will do
@@GCMYT but I have one question, why did the officer in the videos allow you to drive on the public highway with illegal modifications to your car?
@@GCMYT well said :) (referring to GCM's reply btw)
@@leebo130 getting salty about a RUclips vid, you lemon🤣
Waking his car what he doing ? It’s not his car so he don’t care this is why I hate garages
Aren't you breaking Lockdown rules by travelling to North Wales?
Not necessarily!
RUclips is my full time occupation and in order to both work and keep making useful content for my viewers that benefits them it sometimes requires essential travel. My work with the Police is highlighting road safety and encouraging proper vehicle maintenance/modification within legislation. The trip to BD Performance who sponsor the channel was to rectify issues highlighted in the Police videos as well as other essential maintenance.
The content will hopefully encourage others to rectify any modifications they may have that could be deemed illegal and make the roads safer for all.
Relevant authorities were consulted before making the journey to ensure Covid restrictions were adhered to.
Mask 🤣🤣🤣
Motors in rs and st are just bad 👎
