Opponents who march like this are the worst.
That momentum forces you to work overtime on maintaining distance, often putting you off-balance just trying to avoid being hit. And then the flow on effect is it's harder to set up counters or parries being so off-balance. Hell even your thinking gets scrambled.
Can only imagine how much worse it would be with someone who has the skill and speed of Patrice doing it

There's more going on here than simple speed and aggression. Great, disguised distance pulls to set up the long attack. The "messy" hand position coming forward fast makes stop cuts basically impossible. Fantastic change of speed.
