- Israeli Government spokesman Avi Hyman rejects Lord Cameron’s claim that 500 aid trucks a day are needed to prevent famine in Gaza.
The Foreign Secretary said he had a “tough but necessary” conversation with Israeli minister Benny Gantz about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
The former prime minister said ensuring the availability of aid in Gaza would be a factor when the UK assesses whether Israel is acting in line with international law.
Mr Gantz, a former general, is a domestic political rival of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu but was drafted in to the war cabinet formed in the wake of the October 7 Hamas attacks.
Avi says: “A lot of this is wildly exaggerated because people want to keep Hamas in power and an immediate ceasefire. We can’t accept that!"

There’s one on X that is from 2014 from the Yarmouk refugee camp in Syria. What I’ve seen from Gaza ? People throwing away food- markets fully stocked with as much food as any western market- some guy complaining about the quality of food another guy saying he don’t want American food.

There are no starved looking people walking around Gaza that I've seen. One woman on the news claiming she did not have enough food was grossly overweight. I watched women and children in Yemen starving due to famine. No protests, no marches, very little news about those poor people yet all this fuss about Gaza. They don't even compare to Yemen.
After Nazis were defeated in WW2 Britain was entrusted to give Jews back their ancestral homeland in Israel where they have lived and been persecuted in for 3000 years by Egyptian empire, Roman Empire and Islamic empire. Britain and France defeated islamists and Nazis in WW2 and instead of keeping all of the land which would have been traditional when you are attacked and defeat the aggressor Britain and France decided to give their islamist enemies land to ceate countries. Under islamist threat of violence and further war after WW2 Britain broke their promise to Israel and gave 3/4 of Jewish land to Arabs to create Jordan. Islamists should either give back Jordan or let Israel live in peace.

Even is palestinians are starving, Israel is still in danger, the two things are unrelated. Let UN distribute food fairly (but not to Hamas of course). If they don't do it - blame them for starving Gazans. Not Israel 's responsibility, not Israel's fault
500 trucks, 2 tonne each is 1million kg for 2.5 million people, so 400 gramms of dry food. That is 1600kcal if carbs (flour), or 3600kcal if fat (oil). So it should be enough for everyone. Unless someone steals more than their fair share.

Look at all these people hundreds of them no wonder people died they got trampled on top of each other and they blame Israel, how come in Rafah looks very nice people selling beautiful fruits and vegetables for cheap they have lots of food there why can they deliver food to the starving people, for the life in me I don't understand why Israel has to provide that it doesn't make sense. I think Israel has the right to defend itself. However, I disagree with US taxpayer dollars going to Israel, a country with a GDP of $400 billion, to ask us for money. They have money to purchase weapons. The United States should solely provide political support to Israel, with no financial assistance from the United States.
How can this Israeli spokesman compare a few hundred Hamas fighters with Nazi Germany. I don't see any tanks or fighter jets on the Hamas side. Plus the fact that Hamas must be running quickly out of ammunition for the few rifles they have left.

Aid is entering , you can find interviews with civilians in Gaza confirming that Hamas are taking much of the aid for themselves.

Israel has not stopped giving, however aid goes straight to tunnels. According to palestinian elderly and children it's on youtube .
