The only reason you can beat him is because they nerfed infinite living weapon and gave him a weak build hahaha
dilza1231 Yeah lmao. And even then, he doesn’t seem to struggle in the cutscene against your Half-Yokai character who has the best of both worlds. The man’s a fucking monster, and he barely even uses Living Weapon.

OMG WILLIAM'S THEME FROM THE FIRST GAME IS THE BOSS MUSIC
He is Limitless Strength and Nioh incarnate. He was meant to have that theme. People don't realize it but since the start, that was hinted to be his.
Team Ninja must really love William. Dude still comes off as a bad ass in the cutscence in another protagonist game
They’re big fans of the historical figure as well, it’s been stated in interviews.
A few words to those who say William is a copy of Geralt (or Anime Geralt), William is based on a real historical figure, a navigator from England. And if you think any blond man with blue eyes is Geralt, you're just shalow

Why William is in Nioh 2 ? Well.. after your character kill Tokichi(Hideyoshi) and Koshin Koji, You`re in a deep slumber after destroying the demon horn and trapped/sealed Koshin in your body. While you are in deep slumber, Nioh and with all it DLCs happen. after William finished the main campaign and the DLCs, he found you, wake you up, fight you because Koshin possessed you and that`s it.

Prototype 2 (Alex),Yakuza 4 (Kiryu),Pokemon Crystal(Red),Devil May Cry 4(Dante) and Now Nioh 2 (William)
I am genuinely glad William gets his well deserved Spot light and to see him as an Unbeatable Boss only goes to show he is in fact OP knowing all the struggles he went through in the first game which his Spirit memory proves.
Also His Theme...God,This game doesn't get any near perfect than this.
I just wish this game gets as popular as Sekiro.
William isn't op hide is stronger than William, hide would've won this match if they were fighting for real and hide wasn't possessed
@@hehe_boi9181 William would have definitely won if the battle continued. At this point in the story, William had finished all the dlc, so his equipment and level would far surpass Hide who hasn't unlocked divine level equipment yet.
@@orangesoda4535 there is a sub mission in the first samurai dlc where hide defeats Williams in a 1 v 1

Reason why, Geralt clone, get something original and stop copying others.
Perhaps it was because in history he wasn't irish, he was a englishman or because he didn't have alot of lines and most of them sound generic.
Still i like william and i didn't know his boss theme would be the intro theme from nioh 1 ah such nostaligia.
But i still like willaim and i kinda wished he had more lines in nioh 1 but i'm glad to see my boi is in nioh 2

Geralt lookalike which is a stupid reason for hating and he had no character. He was this "Cool badass with more actions over words." which the creators never worked and expanded on. He did had personality in the scenes where he really got to show his character.

This is very emotional. This man has come a long way. Seeing him grow from a nobody to overcoming limitlessly strong obstacles and becoming the incarnation of Nioh now is one of the many definitions of limitless strength.

This is like Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. The First half takes place before the previous story, and the second half takes place after.
Actually RE 3 First Half at some Point stand at the same time with 2, but if you talking from the start then i guess it was a Prequel.
I like to imagine in an alternative universe, William waking you up is another person playing, and they walked into your boss room

I dunno, william does feel ridiculously homesick. It was only Okatsu that keep him there (look up to his quest in Nioh 2). So not really a weeb
@@TheZ691 He means IRL. Anjin married a Japanese woman because Ieyasu wanted him to stay. Okatsu didn't exist of course
@@Ainomato leyasu would not have let him go, he needed him to establish trade for firearms and such without needing to give grounds to Christianity,
He wanted to go back to England, but was kept in Japan.
Eventually he accepted his fate, remarried, had children he loved, etc.

O my god, I almost fully predicted this to happen. The only thing is that I imagined that in a extra chapter we were able to play as William to fight us, turned permanently in Yokai.

I like how this Boss fight doesn't actually let us Outright beat him. Kinda shows that he is the much more experienced warrior between the 2.

Seen a lot of people say that William is stronger than hide but that's false on so many levels, theres a huge power difference between them.

So here's the million dollar question if Nioh 2 take place before AND after the first nioh(including the DLCs) when and where do the Nioh 2 DLC occur since the developers said the those DLCs take place before Nioh 2?

Does this means this battle is during Nioh 1 or somehow William find a way to travel to the past? Since in Nioh 2 Nobunaga is still young and hideyoshi is a spirit stone peddler.

Akbar 7g nioh 2 is a prequel and a sequel.Most part of the main story happen before nioh 1 and near the end of the story the main character went into a deep sleep through the entire event of nioh 1 and its dlc.So this mission happens after the cliffhanger ending of nioh 1 last dlc.
The man chosen by the guardian spirits meets the yokai that kills yokai.
If I were actually experiencing these events I'd opt for the peaceful way out, and tell him "I don't want to fight you, I don't even know who you are but I can tell you're not all bad!"
P.S.- What happens to his voice if choose the Japanese dub?

So, for the movie your character is pretty much wearing a steel bra, but in actual gameplay, you get her fitted with decent armor?
Imagine a special boss fight event with Geralt opening a portal and falling accidently on this universe, it would be dope to have Geralt and William face off , or even have our warrior face both of them together it would be amazing
I think William would kick his ass tbh. Geralt is strong but I don't see him beating stuff like Yamata no Orochi or the Kyubi.
@John Bennett William is superhuman as well. No regular human could kill a giant demonic fox by spinning to win with an axe.

with humanoid bosses, equip Atlas bear
use sloth and then use guardian spirit talisman on them, they will get smashed and allow you to do some quick blow

I was like you when i bought nioh on release i didnt get past the second level. Played it again a few months ago, then i kinda realized maybe it was because i was not using beginner friendly weapon (i used kusagirama and dual swords first play). Then i played again using katana and spear and i finally enjoyed the game and started to get the hang of it. :) I just unlocked the mystic art dojo

I follow gaming channels. No one i am subscribed to gives spoilers. This just popped up on my recommendation. Super frustrated at channels like this that are filled with spoilers in just the name and thumbnails. So stupid and inconsiderate.

Apparently there is a massive time-skip where your character falls into a magic-induced sleep and sleeps through all of Nioh 1, and is found by William afterwards.

I mean, you can transform into William if the game detects a Nioh 2 save in your system, so not really like you'd need it.
