That wan NOT,I repeat NOT, Luke. That was Jake Skywalker,a creation by that pretentious bellend Ruin Johnson. Stop perpetuating this shitty fanfiction.
Kind of a shame what happened to Taron, he was betrayed through Order 66 and stranded on a hostile world that also had strong dark side influence. Couple that with how he must have been feeling post Order 66 with his struggle for survival and I'm not surprised he embraced the dark side.
I see a lot of people commenting that a dark side version would be cool and I agree. You could join Malicos before the fight, and you would both have to fight Merrin instead as a boss. And then the plot would change so that Malicos and Cal want the Holocron to start their new order, imprisoning your friends so you could do it. Then the end mission would be the same, except you would attack Second Sister out of rage and hatred for Prauf and the Order.
Well to be fair, the witches of Dothomir were her only family so of course she'd see them as good people. The last thing she remembers is them being hacked to bits by Grievous (while laughing) and his Droids slaughtering her sisters as they tried to protect the sanctuary.
9:04 He's very right., the Jedi were playing the old game of hit sticks together. And while Palatine distracted them with war, he eroded the Republic's values from underneath them. They lost before they even started.
So much wasted potential for these characters. Malicos could've deadass become this Disney Canon's Darth Krayt and Cal as their version of Cade Skywalker...
Love the subtlety in the script. When Cal first asks who he is he says “you don’t... no one to fear”. A nice hint towards Taron being a Jedi and also his arrogance of thinking Cal should know him.

I don't really understand why she thought Grievous was a Jedi. The nightsisters knew of the Separatists and the Sith. Even if she was a child she should know who destroyed their village.
@Ch Pe I did consider that but it really doesn't hold up once you think about it. He was surrounded by separatist droids with separatist markings on them and was a infamous separatist leader. They weren't directly involved in the clone wars but they help fund the sith with warriors (at least 3) so they should have an understanding of what is going on.
Why do when Jedi turn the Dark Side, they automatically seek out ‘red’ lightsaber crystals - even if cut off from the rest of the galaxy’s civilization?
They don’t seek out crystals anymore. In canon they make their crystals change color based on their aura in the force. But a red crystal is when someone takes a Jedi crystal and makes it feel pain, and does what they call “bleeding” it. Until it turns a crimson red.
MrFuggleGuggle most lightsabers crystals came from Ilum, but mace windu’s came from a different planet where they’re purple instead of the regular colours
Why are people always moaning about grey jedi? Neutral force users are a rarity for a reason, only a few exception were able to get in this state after a loong process during which the person in question often go from side to side until he/she stabilize. The rest? They will fall deep in the dark side since it will tempt them constantly to use it more and more.

Honestly in terms of sheer strength Malicos felt like the true villain to me he was way harder then both then both the sisters and it showed as you even need help from Merrin to beat him.
For those that are curious, the "Armored warrior" is General Grievous. (No, It's *NOT* Darth Vader, as he still was Anakin Skywalker at the time. It also isn't any other Sith. We see Grievous murdering them ON SCREEN in The Clone Wars TV Show).
Easter Egg. Notice how Spartacus uses two swords. Taron does as well. Notice how Spartacus has scars from whips in the same areas as Taron does. Taron also speaks how Spartacus would.
I dont understand why so many people are saying talon abused his power or was power hungry and evil, he was forced to take over the night brothers or they would have never stopped hunting him. It shows in many logs and in the clone wars that the night brothers were already all about power and strength and would not hesitate to kill outsiders, his only hope at repairing his ship or trying to find any means of escape off the planet was to take over the only intelligent population and it just so happens that he meets merrin around the same time, now in his eyes it made sense to lie to her about the jedi, not only was he just betrayed by his trusted friends and allies but he was abandoned and believed to be alone so its only reasonable that he held some distain towards the republic and jedi and merrin also being alone and believing that lightsaber wielders killed her family he saw this as an opportunity to bond or yes manipulate her to gain her favor, he had no way of knowing he was going to stay there for as long as he did at the time only that he needed help and was confused and possibly angry, only after he became leader of the clan and heal did he begin to sense the power dathomir emitted, and with no way off the planet as most likely no one ever ventured there as dathomir was know as a galaxy wide deathtrap as greez would always say how scared he was of it so him being a force user feeling the energy he was naturally curious as anyone would be and merrin was willing to teach him or guide him to the sources and he didnt want to ruin the already uneasy relationship by saying oh yeah i lied bc then he would have to explain the history of jedi and sith when its clear he wants that in the past and he wants to start something new. This is why he not only attempts to comfort cal but tells him of his plan to control the evil instead of being corrupted by it, but Cal being young and hopeful and plagued by his ptsd of his master and order 66 has vowed to completely replicate the jedi order bc light=good and dark=bad so when he sees that a force user has used his abilities to come into control of a group, even though that group is by nature and tradition focused on being the strongest and the better warrior, he sees it as a violation of jedi code. Talon was obviously not crazy or corrupt with power as those who were example being the emperor, vader and even maul when he began his story in the clone wars, they all specifically said “join me or die” talon was no wear near that evil, he showed control over the power, he did not have yellow eyes nor was bound for greatness or domination, he just wanted to learn to control and possibly teach this historically evil power in a way that would be beneficial and non corrupting like so many others have preached or fell victim too. The only reason he attacks cal and has red lightsabers is for plot and another boss fight to show an “evil” character bc red=bad. his character leading up to the fight shows compassion and willing to learn he even asks cal why hes so interested in the tombs if its not power and cal doesnt respond initiating the fight. Yes he was a good character and villian but he was also not evil or crazy or in the wrong, everything was justifiable and sane of him to do in his situation. Talon was undeniably too unique and complex to kill off they could do so much more with him and i hope to see him again bc i dont think such a unique situation could arise again in the universe with so much backstory already written without making a new planet race history etc.
Vikrampic Loenally yeah but dark side users and sith all they talk about is their everlasting quest for power and more. It’s sort of their whole reason for doing what they’re doing.
Malicos was a great take on Dark Jedi in the sense that he truly believed he conquered the dark side. He never used Dark Side attacks during the fight like choke or lightning. Besides his Lightsabers and savage ways he still believed he was a Jedi.
Fun fact for any of your Spartacus fans out there. The voice actor and model for Taron Malicos is Liam McIntyre (Spartacus himself) from the second season onward!
i played it all on jedi master, and damn was it intense, sure i died 20 times to this dude. but hey i learned all his moveset , beating this dude again would be cakewalk now.
Fallen Order crafted a great villain, Taron Malicos used to be a Jedi master and after order 66 and his time in Dathomir embraced the dark side and also saw the truth of the Jedi, they had fallen long before the Clone Wars and long before he had joined the order himself, he wanted to make a new order, something which he thought was better, if Malicos had his way he would've made an order probably worse than the Jedi. Taron was a very real character and fell to the dark side out of isolation and the presence of the dark side on Dathomir, not many people would've been able to resist the dark side.
Fun note, the voice actor for Taron Malicos is Liam McIntyre. Acting-wise he's most known for taking over the role of Spartacus for the 2nd and 3rd season of the show and playing Weather Wizard on The Flash, BUT voiceover-wise he also played Commander Pyre on Star Wars: Resistance on Disney +.
At this point we should just have a videogame company make a 2 hour cutscene and have that be a new Star Wars movie. If Bioware can make cinema quality commercials for KOTOR then it can be done.
It amazes me how people don't know what Merrin meant by "An armoured warrior slaughtered my people using this". It is referring to General Grievous when he landed on Dathomir in TCW TV series. We actually got to see him slaughtering them, at least in less R rated parts. But it is General Grievous. Not Vader, Maul or Dooku.
I wonder how Malicos would have fared if Vader had fought him on Dathomir 1 on 1. On Dathomir I think Malicos could have been on of Vader's toughest fights.
I think Malicos would put up a fight, especially since he was a Jedi Master previously, and now he has also touched the Dark Side. Vader would still win, I'm sure, being the Chosen One and all that.
@@hk-47droid64 especially since Cal only won because he had BD-1 and Merrin to back him up. If it was a real 1 on 1 Malicps would have slaughtered Cal.
@@michaellorah9051 BD-1 is 100% a gameplay gimmick, he doesn't actually help in any fight, story-wise, except against Vader. That being said, Vader is on a whole different level than even a Magick-strengthened Malicos, it definitely wouldn't have been one of his toughest fights.

Taron Malicos and Luke Skywalker went to the same conclusion about the Jedi Order. Yet the difference is that Taron tried to have more power by being an asshole, were Luke decided to retreat as an hermit because he was afraid that he would make things worse and harm the one he loved.
The new films aren't canon. 😉

Taron: “ThAt BrOkEn LiGhTsAbEr”
*Lightsaber is clearly repaired*
Cal: *visible confusion*
It was broken.
why couldn't you just fix it without going to the snow planet for half an hour. you have like five spare hilts at this point!
Then the end mission would be the same, except you would attack Second Sister out of rage and hatred for Prauf and the Order.
and then die from Vader instead of running
Cal: Okay, enough of this. Who are you really?
Wanderer: I. AM. SPARTACUS!
i shat a brick when i found that out hah
I'M SPARTACUS!
Jupiters cock! it IS Spartacus!
It's kinda stupid that she tries to paint the night sisters as good people when mother talzin in was just as evil as sidious
Well, she was a child when Dathomir was attack. So of course she would've thought that the Nightsisters and mother were good & innocent people
Well to be fair, the witches of Dothomir were her only family so of course she'd see them as good people.
The last thing she remembers is them being hacked to bits by Grievous (while laughing) and his Droids slaughtering her sisters as they tried to protect the sanctuary.
Many of the truths we cling too depend greatly on our point of view.
@Peasant Then you are lost!
Sure they are evil, but not as evil as sidious, good old palps is almost comically evil
Malicos saying the jedi were dead long before the purge isn't entirely inaccurate is the funny part.,..

What did he mean by that?

Good use of the Clone Wars and other various SW stories.

And while Palatine distracted them with war, he eroded the Republic's values from underneath them.
They lost before they even started.
For an unknown reason, "Darth Malicos" sounds great...

Oh look, it's Canon Jorus C'baoth.
Darth Sigma 86 But way better. Like seriously, he was like a burger you’d get from McDonalds while Thrawn was 5 star steak.
Plus Emperor Sidious’ Cloak.
that was my first thought too
Fulcrum 67 More like lamer. Exists for all of 15 minutes, gets his ass kicked, then dies.
Least Jorus actually had the respect of Anakin. And his clone Jedi army idea was genius.
@@JXZX1 Now I wonder who really had that idea first? Since in Force Unleashed 2, Vader was planning to Clone Starkiller, and he used tons of clones of him to kill the Rebel Starkiller on Kamino.
Love the grievous reference but sad she thought he was a jedi
Well, she was just a child when it happened so its understandable
I don't really understand why she thought Grievous was a Jedi. The nightsisters knew of the Separatists and the Sith. Even if she was a child she should know who destroyed their village.
@Ch Pe I did consider that but it really doesn't hold up once you think about it. He was surrounded by separatist droids with separatist markings on them and was a infamous separatist leader. They weren't directly involved in the clone wars but they help fund the sith with warriors (at least 3) so they should have an understanding of what is going on.
She thought having a light saber makes em jedi. That's why the main character said "having a light saber doesn't you are a jedi"
Why do when Jedi turn the Dark Side, they automatically seek out ‘red’ lightsaber crystals - even if cut off from the rest of the galaxy’s civilization?
I think in the new Disney Canon it's more so that the power of the Darkside causes a lightsaber crystal to "bleed" and turn red
They don’t seek out crystals anymore. In canon they make their crystals change color based on their aura in the force. But a red crystal is when someone takes a Jedi crystal and makes it feel pain, and does what they call “bleeding” it. Until it turns a crimson red.
Anakin Skywalker Why was Mace Windu’s purple?
MrFuggleGuggle most lightsabers crystals came from Ilum, but mace windu’s came from a different planet where they’re purple instead of the regular colours
MrFuggleGuggle it’s the color of his aura
I love how every time someone is on the verge of creating a Grey Jedi order , a Jedi comes in with their mOrAls and messes it up
pretty much a sith order looking at the sabers
Why are people always moaning about grey jedi? Neutral force users are a rarity for a reason, only a few exception were able to get in this state after a loong process during which the person in question often go from side to side until he/she stabilize. The rest? They will fall deep in the dark side since it will tempt them constantly to use it more and more.
Taron only wanted power
Yeah man, screw those pesky morals. Always stopping us from descending into animalistic impulses and chaos

For those that are curious, the "Armored warrior" is General Grievous.

Liam Mcintrye did a truly spectacular job voicing Taron Malicos! Takes me back to the days of Spartacus!
Malicos was a great take on Dark Jedi in the sense that he truly believed he conquered the dark side. He never used Dark Side attacks during the fight like choke or lightning. Besides his Lightsabers and savage ways he still believed he was a Jedi.

Taron's voice actor is the man playing the second Spartacus in the Spartacus series
1:42 WHY IN STAR WARS IS EVERYBODY SO WIDE
HE LOOK LIKE KYLO REN
TARON SWOLICOS
Fallen Order crafted a great villain, Taron Malicos used to be a Jedi master and after order 66 and his time in Dathomir embraced the dark side and also saw the truth of the Jedi, they had fallen long before the Clone Wars and long before he had joined the order himself, he wanted to make a new order, something which he thought was better, if Malicos had his way he would've made an order probably worse than the Jedi. Taron was a very real character and fell to the dark side out of isolation and the presence of the dark side on Dathomir, not many people would've been able to resist the dark side.

He mightve been clouded by the dark but he did have a point, the jedi became warriors instead of peacekeepers and they did fall long before the purge.

@@michaellorah9051 BD-1 is 100% a gameplay gimmick, he doesn't actually help in any fight, story-wise, except against Vader.
