Hi everyone! Let me know what you think about this new Twinmotion release in the comments below! Also remember that you can learn to use Twinmotion either in the SketchUp Essentials Course - www.thesketchupessentials.com/course OR as a standalone course here - www.theSketchUpEssentials.com/TwinmotionCourse
Man, Twinmotion just keeps getting better and better. I can't believe how much different it is from when I first started using it in 2019. btw, is there a reason you didn't upload this video to your Rendering Essentials channel? Is all rendering content going to be here now?
Thank you for this video. My questions are regarding using Lumen: 1) Do you still have to place Area Lights in front & outside the windows? 2) You showed that there is no need to place Reflection Boxes in front of glass, window, other. However in both cases - 1 & 2 - this particular TM Lake House file already has Area Lights and Reflection Boxes placed in the scene. So did you delete or deactivate these for this video whilst testing Lumen?
I tried this version this morning. Grass is still broken (height is ignored in Path Tracer). I didn't try the Detail Grasses but I'm assuming those are still broken as well. Lumen is a great addition but I can't believe they haven't fixed/overhauled grass yet. It's been 4+ versions now.
Well to be fair, they didn't advertise any changes to the grass in this version. I do definitely agree - it needs to be fixed, but this version doesn't contain any changes to that particular feature
@@SeacoastHD It’s been on the roadmap for awhile and it’s great they plan on improving/overhauling it but in the meantime it would be nice if they made an effort to actually fix it. I also don’t understand why they can’t (or choose not to) push out hotfixes instead of waiting for the next version to address bugs. I’m not trying to trash the software or developer. I’ve been using TM since 2019 when Epic first bought them and have mostly loved it. Path Tracer has been a total game changer and Lumen is looking fantastic. I just wish they would prioritize fixing things over adding new features.
I heard the new free version has a watermark. In Lumion the whole screen is covered with a watermark, but how does the watermark look in this new version of Twinmotion ? If its obstructing the view I might not download the new version.
My Lumen option is greyed out. I have the AMD Ryzen 6000 Ver. 7 on my laptop and 41 GB of available ram. I haven’t seen anything on TM’s support site about any compatibility issues. Anyone know how to fix this?
Its e great update I'm downloading the update now to see how its goes, now Im pretty deep in unreal engine because of Lumen, it kinda remind me of blender they have eevee, cycles and unreal have Lumen an path/ray tracing
Twinmotion adds feature to compete with d5. Than canges pricing so it's still not worth switching. (D5 is free at any scale and full feature is cheaper)
Gotta say, Lumen may not be as good as path tracing but it has really impressive quality and faster rendering time. Also, Lumen is more compatible with lots of pcs or laptops since path tracing requires at least GTX 1660 or any RTX GPU
I want to try this version but it does not seem to be available to download on the Epic Games launcher.. I just get the 2023.1.2. Is there something I'm not doing?
i am just waiting for my new pc then i will be able to enjoy twinmotion i didnt have rtx till now and i wanna see what twinmotion can do with this raytracing lumen and all that good stuff
said it before. saying again. TM has blowned Lumion out of the water and it will blow D5 as well.. you cannot compete atm with the power of epic games.. people just do not seem to understand that.. they are blind and naive.. Lumion who and what ever happened to them?.. HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA..... am just sad that enscape was bought by chaos group.. if they do not overhaul enscape ... hate to say it but enscape will also be forgotten... I have a place in my heart for enscape ofr some reason....hhahahaha.. TM just getting better and better..
@@Thesketchupessentials you are corect.. I apologized for callign them blind and naive.. what i meant to say was.. They "AMATEURS" hahaahahahahaha... great video Jus... thumbs up!..

Until this update I think D5 raytracing was WAY faster than TM - it would be interesting to compare them both now.
Yeah - haven't had a chance to do this yet, but this feels very fast

Lumen rules 😊 Nanite is next 😊 Fully fledged animated environments and everything will be jaw dropping even with the simplest concepts 😊
I mean...I would assume so, but I'm not sure exactly how that would work with Twinmotion's engine yet, so I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Thanks for sharing this Justin 😎👍🏼
No problem 👍

They do plan to improve the grass, it’s on the roadmap

Have you ever encountered the problem of objects appearing black on mirror material when using Lumen? how to deal with it?
Great explanation
Alias filtering is missinggggg😢 ..
I heard the new free version has a watermark. In Lumion the whole screen is covered with a watermark, but how does the watermark look in this new version of Twinmotion ?
If its obstructing the view I might not download the new version.
The watermark is subtly positioned on the left and right at the bottom edge of the image/video.

The D5 continues to deliver a better result, and the software is more stable.
looks great !!
It's really good for sure :)

Hi Justin. What is the RTX card you are using currently?
I want to try this version but it does not seem to be available to download on the Epic Games launcher.. I just get the 2023.1.2. Is there something I'm not doing?
No clue - when I click the dropdown it shows Twinmotion 2023.2 Community Preview 1 as an option
hi i got two graphic cards in my PC ,
but unfortunately it render on the weak one which is NOT conected with monitor ,
dont know why ...
Look in Windows Graphics Settings, under the "Multiple displays" section and see if Twinmotion is set to High Performance mode.
Ive been using twin motion lumen was okay, but until i can't activate lumen anymore. My GPU is a 5 yearold 1650ti. I hope you can help me
It worked before but now it doesn't? I'm not sure why that would be the case
Do you think Twinmotion can replace VRay already?
if you’re aiming for the top of the too quality of vray, no, but in my opinion at this pace twin motion will have the same quality in 2~ years
How to activate LUMEN in Twinmotion Version 2023.2?
Lumen is awesome!
i am just waiting for my new pc then i will be able to enjoy twinmotion i didnt have rtx till now and i wanna see what twinmotion can do with this raytracing lumen and all that good stuff
I'm loving mine now that I've upgraded to an RTX card
Hi! guys Lumen works only in RTX Cards?...
Finally getting closer to Enscape...
I think the next update will be about programming, just like UNREAL.
without pathtracer nice♥
But Lumen is from Unreal Engine not new lol xd
lumion died

Not sure calling other people names is REALLY necessary for this discussion - definitely a good upgrade though
@@Thesketchupessentials you are corect.. I apologized for callign them blind and naive.. what i meant to say was..
They "AMATEURS" hahaahahahahaha...
great video Jus... thumbs up!..
i'ld like to see all your works with associated programs you use.
