I was 18 years old in 1987 and was lucky enough to see Bon Jovi Slippery when Wet Tour with Cinderella as opening act. The concert was in Birmingham Alabama May 14th 1987 and I proudly still have the ticket stub. Aww Good Times!!!
I was there as well. Cinderella was AWESOME and they remain one of my top three favorite 80's bands. One of the best, if not the best, concerts of the decade, and I believe I saw them all. GOD, I MISS THE 80's!!!!!! Saw Bon Jovi in February, 2017 in B'ham & they rocked it just like they always did. JBJ can still connect with an audience like no one I've ever seen.

Music is funny like that sometimes. But yeah, if this song was in A or E minor… it wouldn’t be the same. A and E minor are such bland and dull keys to play in as it is, especially a song like this. You lost that dramatic emotional effect that the D major and A major pentatonic scales have a way of capturing ‘ And THAT is our music theory insight for the day 😃 (I enjoy explaining that more technical “nerdy” side of music)

1989 would be the one and only time that the WVU Mountaineer Coliseum in Morgantown, WV would have Cinderella as a headliner. By the end of their set, they would be issued citation after citation for violating the ever living shit out of every city noise and curfew ordinance there was on the books at the time 😂 Cinderella was also issued a LIFETIME BAN from the coliseum as well. And all just because they were really “feeling it” that evening and wanted to give the fans the most bang for their buck by playing at an alleged 160 decibels, and an additional 60 minutes added to the set Over the years, I would talk to people who just happened to be there that evening, and they said Cinderella were so loud, they made AC/DC look like Mary Poppins… and THATs saying something
I saw this band in there prime blow away Bon Jovi and Ratt as a warm up band. I've seen probably hundreds of "warmup" bands and Cinderella blew them all away...twice. At one time they were very powerful indeed. And how is it exactly bands like Poison are still remembered yet Cinderella is all but forgot? I'm tellin ya, the history books have it wrong. Cinderella was a GREAT band. End of rant.
They were all greats in their respects. I saw Cinderella and poison tour together for their 20th anniversary, both were fantastic. I think it's more Cinderella had a good amount of great material, but only for a couple years, poison, Bon Jovi, and others out out material for a longer duration. Bret Michaels also had a very successful solo career as well.

Back in the late 80s I had the honor of watching the movie Spinal Tap with the guys from Cinderella at New York's Limelight . Jeff Labar was sitting next to me. Loved this band. R.I.P. Jeff.

Saw this tour at the Hearnes Center in Columbia,Missouri on June 21,1989. Tom Kiefer came down from the ceiling on a platform playing the piano. Believe it or not its one of the best concerts I ever saw and I've seen a bunch of concerts!

I remember when this was out brand new , there is so many songs , that you come close to saying i can relate to this song in this way or that way , and not be completely relatable with the song , close but just not quite there , but this song , i can fully relate to it , i had girl friend , and there times i really didn't know if we would make it ? we had so many hangups and issues , but we did finely make it for a time , we got married , sadly the marriage after 21 years , i ended it ,and i take full blame for it ending , but it was a very intense relationship , when we were together , when i listen to this song , it does bring back the memory of being in that relationship , we have a son that is now 30 years old , and living with me ,he told me how he saw is mother cry when Our Relation ship ended , i sometimes talk about , how i miss being in a relationship talking about how miss having a relationship with someone special while talking about this with my son , and several years ago , he ask me , would i pick his mom , and i said yes because were we were in a relationship for over 21 years his mother and me , and he remembering how is mother cried , said in his next breath , it would never happen , he meant , he would make sure that i never would make his mother cry again , in his statement, we really don't know what we have until it is gone , and during this time there is so many , that are losing Love-ones , of course not by their choice , because of this terrible Plague COVID-19 , this is such a very Sad time of loss for so many .

Cinderella is easily tied for my favorite band of all-time, alongside Warrant. I was born into the wrong generation, most would say. My playlist is entirely rock and glam metal, mostly power ballads. Not a normal 17 year-old's style of music.
