    I like that they share the same batteries. I have a v1, (2) ad200, and an ad600. I can't justify buying an ad100 and lose power just to share the same batteries as my v1. Especially since already owning the ad200. This was a nice review, thank you 🙏🏼

    Since I shoot on multiple camera platforms (Sony, Canon, and Olympus), the AD100 makes a lot of sense since I would only need one flash, and just the different triggers for each camera

    Great video. I have an AD200 and now I want to get an AD100 as a secondary off-camera light.

      Would it not make more sense for you to get a second ad200 since they are a similar price and that gives you the option of using the bracket to combine the ad200's into 1 light?

    Thanks for the comparisons. I have V1 and I love it. I was thinking of going for the AD100 but I’m now considering going for another V1

    Useful Review... I have both and love using them as two off camera flash. Test comparison in studio: There is a slight white balance issue but nothing to serious and the power on the V1 is 1 stop weaker at around 5 meters at full power. So when I'm outdoors in sun and need fill with a softbox my choice is the AD100Pro.

  • @tuquanvinh

    I would say the misfiring is due to shooting at 1/1 only? I don't use full power that often, but to my experience the V1 is trusted, too (I just got the AD100 pro yesterday, want some comparison between the 2, and finished your review). Another feedback is that you should be consistent on setting side of the item.

    thank you for the great comparison video! I do have one question. In the outdoor images at 7:15 did you shoot both images with the same white balance? Because the background green seems extremely different to me. Overall the v1 seems a little warmer than the ad100pro. Thank you and have a good day!

    No mention of the HSS used to compare these two relatively low-powered flashes at 1/1600 shutter speed. That will certainly provoke misfires.

      Hey, out of curiosity, why did you start with the AD100 pro as opposed to the speedlight style joints? I'm torn between the V860ii and the AD100 pro. I'm thinking about the run and gun situations vs the reliability.

    The 100 price is too close to the 200 I'm considering the 200pro and the vi as I shoot events a lot including weddings and on camera flash is sometimes necessary. Of course the vi also works off camera and the 200 pro gives more power and faster recycling time when needed.

    Do you have recommendation for budget flash for outdoor photoshoot?
    Sorry for the bad english, hope you understand
    Thank you

    • @hypop
      @hypop  2 года назад

      Perhaps starting with an on-camera flash then progressing to off-camera flash using a trigger, so a setup like the Godox V1 paired with an XPro trigger.
      If that's above your budget you can go for a smaller flash like the Godox V350 paired with the XPro trigger

    Tell me why this is a bad idea: use the ad100 with an x2 trigger and a short cold shoe magic arm as an on camera flash instead of the v1.

    • @hypop
      @hypop  Год назад

      It's a bad idea if the AD100 is mounted onto the X2 trigger as it would have a pretty high chance of snapping the hot shoe. Mounted onto a camera cage instead of the trigger might be doable.

    • @Nickporter17
      @Nickporter17 Год назад

      @@hypop You're right. But, I don't see how it's that much more stress on the amount than the V1 mount itself. I know some of the godox speed lights had mount breakage issues.
      I need an on camera flash to add to my AD200PROs and AD400PRO. Would you choose this wacky setup I suggested or just a simple V1?

    The VI has also more Zoom ... The normal Speedlights have much more Zoom, and white reflector, and a diffuser, ... So what, you can't blend them with professional Flashlights because they have 5800K instead of 5600K, (you see this) and it drove me crazy. Why not invest in professional flashlights! The Fanel lens of both of them gives ugly light... Save money and get the AD200 or the Yongnuo YN200. You can trigger with the remote control from Godox the Yongnuo remote control or you use the small Yongnuo remote controls for every Godox ... So it works. Yongnuo remote controls are much more reliable than Godox remote controls. And Yongnuo speed lights have 5600K. In any case, I use both, because I have both...

      1. The AD100 has a fan to help with the heating issue that the reviewer mentions, whereas the V1 doesn't. 2. The AD100 has more power. 3. Since it's more compact I can fit more of them into my bag; my Lowepro Magnum 200 fits a camera, two lenses, and FOUR of these great little units! 4. It's a little faster and easier to put it into the S2 bracket than the V1, which is nice when you use so many units on a shoot. 5. I like the AD 100's menu and button setup much more. I have and like both of these flashes, but when I'm shooting with a softbox I always use the AD100. I hope this helps.
