Good Video. Must be fitted in all kitchens at home. All Govt. and Authorities to make this compulsory to get the home completion certificate. This is for your safety for the environment and safe food you eat.
@@JOE-JEThow do you make the water flow constantly clear of oil sediments inside the grease trap? Mine is like the water does not flow out properly. Do you have a FB page so that I could message you?
Thank you for this video Joe. It is very helpful. Is this for the BEAMNOVA 8lbs Commercial Grease Trap? Can you name all the items that you used to install or provide links to them so I can easily purchase them?
Hi Dave! To be honest, I asked myself the same question, so I called the local inspector and he suggested to me that if I want to I can install it, but I don't have to. I wasn't sure how well this grease trap would work, so now I can easily remove it and connect the missing pieces without it. But you are right at least in my state there is no need to use P-trap in combination with grease trap.
@@davejoseph5615 It can definitely help, because the grease trap part connected to the sink can let air and odors through. Behind the grease trap in my case another smaller sink was installed, this is not shown in the video and the codes do not require another trap, because the trap is in the grease box itself.
No, Y fitting is there because the second sink was installed next to the first one. However, this grease trap should be connected to the vent pipe, which is not visible here, because it is located in the wall
Can you write something more... If I'm honest this type of grease trap is, so unpopular that I couldn't get 100% reliable information even from a licensed plumber on how exactly to install it. Online information is also contradictory.
@@paulmarques3109 can i know where's the vent should be place? And one other thing, do we need to fill up water all the way up in the grease trap before using it?

This is how you do not rough in a grease interceptor, no vents, no flow restrictor etc etc

I’ve installed one in my rental. Do you have a video on how to clean it?
No links to products?

Hi, Can you tell me the product name, size and capacity of this grease trap please.

would have been nice to see how it functions.
Why do you need a p-trap at the sink when it flows to an unsealed metal grease trap box?

@@JOE-JET Maybe if the grease-trap collects smelly water the sink p-trap would block the smell? Do you need a p-trap after the grease trap for code?

Great video! Is the open Y fitting necessary for the outlet?
No, Y fitting is there because the second sink was installed next to the first one.

Hmm, some are installed with traps- some not. Some have vents / air intakes. Some not ...which way is correct?
You dont need to have trap. You need to have vent behind and some vent before grease trap
Excellent video; thanks
Glad you liked it!
Nice video, but I see a couple violations

Every time you have a trap, you need a vent for it., and you also need a vent on the grease trap exit drain
@@paulmarques3109 can i know where's the vent should be place? And one other thing, do we need to fill up water all the way up in the grease trap before using it?
@@nasrulsherul2059 Something like this rb.gy/9fchbg can be installed between the sink and grease trap. Normal vent pipe must be behind grease trap.
does anyone know if these are fine to use in a comercial kitchen?
