Swede here, and you are correct, it its prohibited to shoot Hassys with your right. If you continue these violations the Special Viking Forces will cut off your finger. Loved your videos, Looking forward to following your journey!
Hey Nicci. Superb intro and music. Plus I was surprised to learn your grandma lived in Hamburg. Very cool! I still consider Hamburg an unsung heroine among European cities…
My honest apologies to the 65 people who had to watch this in 360p before the 4K conversion process was done. The algo and my subconscious will do the punishing for you.
Really wonderful video Nicolas! Been looking forward to this video since your debut, you've inspired me to try to get into medium format, and I love seeing your design and storytelling experience shine through! Excited for what's to com!
Having shot digital for so long, the standard 3:2 ratio and all the auto features, taking photos is easy and takes the fun out of photography in my opinion. I love Medium format photography and the 6x6 format. My Hasselblad has me excited about taking photos again. I feel more connected to the images I produce because it takes time to capture them. I love my 1970 500cm.
Hi Nicolas, I’m literally few minutes into your second video the first one was really good and definitely inspiring… I will be shooting my first 120 this coming weekend… (Mamiya 645 1000s) which I’m in love with before putting a roll through it … I’m in England but did marry a fellow German 🇩🇪 my wife is a Kolner … ok I’m talking to much already .. a non photo question… what breed is your beautiful dog ,? Ok keep shooting and let’s get two keepers in 30 rolls . Cheers Tom.
Yo Tom, welcome to the gang. Enjoy shooting your Mamiya and say hi to your wife! The dog is an Aussiedor (Leopard Labrador). F1 mix of Australian Shepherd and Labrador. Cheers!
I'm impressed for your short film. I say film, not video, cause its looks really cinematik. Don't be so over critical with yourself. I think you shot some very nice impressive pictures. I am also impressed about your drone shots looks total professional. The Hasselblad with the Portra 400 made a good job together.
I had it in mind before I realized that I have access to the Blad for free. Might be trying it in the future though as I heard nothing but good things about it!
Hey! Just FYI, I don’t think you loaded the film correctly. You may already know this as you shot this months ago, but there’s a silver tab on the pressure plate that lifts up and you slide the film underneath that tab, then you can push the tab back down to hold the film flush against the pressure plate.
Danke für den hochwertigen Beitrag. Darf ich fragen wie du die Bilder digitalisierst? Lässt du alles vom Labor durchführen oder übernimmst du einen Teil selbst?

Pinned for others about to violate the law.

100%. It’s a hidden giant. The best city nobody cares about.
I’m also really enjoying your honest way to talk, keep that for sure.
Thanks Nicolas 👌.

Great content, Nicolas. I like your relaxed narration. And your images are excellent.
Thanks Andrew. See you on the next one!

Awesome editing and video skills
Thanks! I just tried to rewatch it but stopped halfway through because the cringe hit too hard.
Moin, hat mir rundum sehr gut gefallen. Bin aufs nächste Video gespannt.
Subbing early before this guy blows up because these 2 videos are amazing!
awesome stuff, you even gave me new perspectives on my city as a videographer
Ok but just to be clear it’s MY city. 🥶
Some people party on Friday nights, I will be watching this and tinkering with my camera gear :)
I wanna know what your camera is gonna wear tonight.
Black leatherette! Nothing too crazy ;) @@nicarnold
awesome content! loved the sense of humor next to the pitch perfect filmography
Thank you Thiago!

Nah, you did not just put the coke meme in your video. Strongest Outro on this Platform for real.
I had to. It’s an internet rule.
Great stuff here. I recently picked up a 500c/m so feel free to make more vids on it 😬
Glad you’re here. Special episode will be up next week!
great video!
Thanks dude!
Just what I needed to get over a morning commute in equally dreary London.
Ahhh, London. Lovely to know somebody is joining in from the UK!
Ich glaube niemand hat Hamburg bis jetzt so "cinematisch" auf RUclips rübergebracht. Das Intro hat mich vom Hocker gehauen...
🫣
Das Foto bei 8:56 ist mega stark! :)
Ein heimlicher Favorit auch bei mir!

Eagle eye! I did in fact know it back then but it took a while to become second nature.

I do all the scanning and conversion at home with the Sony and Negative Lab Pro.
How do you set the exposure properly?
I am using a light metering app.
@@nicarnold Thank you for the response!!!!! GREAT SHOOTING!!!!!
Square format is superior. I wish my 1000F wasn't irreparable.
Crop tool. It’s the sh*t!
Hopefully im sub 1000
Unfortunately not. Which means this is my last comment because I’m internet famous now and I don’t have to follow the rules anymore.
