Families should not argue. Hell, they shouldn't even share their political, religious, or extreme beliefs of any kind. Society already does that, and people need a mental break. THAT is what families and loved ones are for. That break from the chaos.

Why doesn’t this have a CDC Covid-19 message next to it?
Because they're both hardcore liberals at the end of the day. They're married to the establishment
Because it’s been downgraded to being pretty much the same parameters as the flu.
My whole family haven’t had any issues from the Covid vaccine or boosters and that includes my 97 year old mother. My brother-in-law caught covid before the vaccine was available. He was hospitalized for 2 months and developed blood clots. He was put into a medically induced coma. After being released from the hospital, he had to go to rehab for a few weeks. Recover took a long time before he could return to work.

It’s literally impossible to convince anti-vaxxers, no matter how detached from reality they are. Everyone who has half a brain know that Maher’s opinions are moronic, but they’ve embarrassed themselves too much to admit they’re wrong now.
Remember when vaxxed people were all supposed to be sick and dead by now?
My B.I.L. died in the hospital before the vaccine was released. He had been dealing with acid reflux and diverticulitis for about two years. He went into the hospital for abdominal pain on Fri and was positive for Covid-19. He died Monday morning at 3am from covid, he was only 65.
My Dad died of a sudden heart attack and I looked back at his heart data collected on his watch since 2017 - there were clear changes to both max rate, average rate, and arythmia that occurred after each of his Covid mRNA shots, each progressively worse. They’ve also now added myo and pericarditis to the warning label for these shots and numerous studies have shown the real dangers and lack of efficacy…so you can pretend like nothing’s new and we don’t know anymore than we did in 2020…or you can pull your head out of the sand.

There’s a thing called the virus mutating. So if you get sick from COVID multiple times, it’s probably because it’s a variant. Also, some people have poor immune systems, and will just get sick a lot.
This 100%.
Bill Maher's point completely falls flat when you realize there is a new flu variant every year. "But I had natural immunity!" people say.
Also vaccine stops, slows down or weakens the virus from a stronger infection right? This means the body has less of a natural auto immune response or natural defense once infected. So an unvaccinated person AFTER infection has a much stronger natural immunity post infection than a vaccinated person post infection. Im not seeing the unvaccinated get covid multiple times like the vaccinated
Especially if theyve been vaxxed multiple times
@@AB-wg7qenah. The numbers show getting the vaccine was the best health outcome. But overall these conversations are silly. Bill and Seth don’t know anything about vaccines and people’s inability to apeal to any sort or authority such as vaccines shows we are definitely turning into a dumber society.
Natural immunity doesnt mean you cant get it. It just means your immune system is prepared because it will recognise the virus from before. Its a very similar idea to how vaccines are supposed to work. It also doesnt last forever with fast mutating viruses like covid or the flu but it can raise up again to previous levels from exposure to the virus. Constantly topping itself up from small amounts of the virus hitting your system a few times a year.

Nonsense. The REASON america went down this rabbit hole is because after the middle class was gutted, you started dumbing down the population so they could no longer respect the fact science is important. The LAST person I would listen to for medical advice is Bill Maher, OR Steh Mcfarlane. I will listen to my primary. Mandates or no mandates.
Yeah that's true. According to WHO, for a highly contagious disease like measles, you need 94% of people vaccinated to achieve herd immunity. According to Yale Medicine, 3% of adults are moderately to severely immunocompromised and can't get vaccinated. Depending on the polling, somewhere between 17% and 22% of Americans continue to refuse vaccination. Regardless of how you personally feel about a mandate, it seems clear that without one, not enough people would ever willingly get vaccinated in order to protect the people who are medically unable.

Dying with COVID and dying from COVID are very different things and I haven’t seen any data where they differentiate the two. Early on, if someone had a stroke and died AND tested positive for COVID, it was a COVID related death.
no way to actually know except in the case of an accident like an auto fatality
Reporting was a huge fight! Many states fought for correct listing of cause of death and secondary conditions to keep Covid #'s low. We fought this and lost in AZ. A hiker has well controlled Diabetes. On a trail hiker gets mauled by bear. Due to blood loss ER can't control sugars, hiker dies. What killed the hiker? Bear of course not diabetes!
Patient with heart condition get's Covid. Body response due to Covid pushed organs (heart included) to failure, patient dies. AZ wanted it listed as heart failure. That is just wrong.
@@ronblack7870 I mean....doctors. That's their job to know the cause of death. The COD is not determined by hospital administrators
@@jeremiahlynn9584its actually determined by autopsies under normal circumstances but during covid they allowed doctors to put down what they thought was the most likely cause instead.
Exactly, you can't just look at all the death toll statistics and say, "all these people died of covid" simply because covid was in their system when they died, because they had a very weakened immunity from their other conditions that most likely is what killed them, and because covid is so contagious it just easily attached itself to the person. Let's see the death toll stats that show a guy died just of diabetes complications and not covid, even though he likely had a touch of the covid, same with cancer, or heart disease, etc. They can't show you them because all they did was glob onto all the other deaths and said, "covid caused this." It's a bullshit snow job from the left to lie with false stats and sell the mandatory nature of the jabs and all the subsequent jabs afterwards so that the pharmaceutical companies could make a killing, and now you got teens and college kids and athletes bouncing off the walls with myocarditis and parocharditis heart attacks. It's one giant lie. Covid was never more than just the regular flu.

When I got my first covid vax, they explicitly told me I was less likely to catch it, but I still could. But if I DID catch it, the vaccine was designed to keep me out of the hospital. That's all I wanted. Also the reporting of covid deaths was way overblown. Here in Florida a man died in a motorcycle accident. Cause of death: terminal road rash. The autopsy showed he was infected with covid, so he was counted as a covid death. They did that, no matter what actually caused your demise, if you were infected with covid - symptomatic or not - it was counted as a covid death. I have a Covid Vaccine injury that I have been suffering from since....Taking the vaccine was the biggest and will always be the biggest mistake of my life.

Heres a fun stat. Pre covid we hit the highest pediatric flu deaths since keeping track. 155. When COVID hit, and we allowed that diagnosis to supersede/replace the FLU diagnosis for financial reimbursement, it dropped to exactly 1 flu death. When COVID was deemed over, pediatric FLU deaths came back (because covid was no longer monetized). That should tell you everything you need to know about COVID deaths in general. Where is my info coming from? The CDCs own website.
I made fun of those who in 2020 were saying that covid was just like the flu, or really it was the flu, but now I'm like didn't it behave like the flu? About the same number of folks passed on directly due to covid as the normal flu, and if you got ran over by a car but also had covid, then your passing was attributed to covid, so if you take away all those "car/covid" unalivings, then this covid thing really was about as damaging as the normal regular flu. But Pig Farma made billions off of the jab that they patented in 2019 specifically for it.
Also, just like the flu is a new strain like every year, that's why you have to get a nother nother flu shot once a year...... well, same same for covid, how it kept reappearing in a new variant about once a year.
Kinda almost exactly like the flu. But more profitable for the big boys.
And that would have nothing to do with schools and everywhere where kids would hang out spreading the flu closing?
First, this is because COVID was more infectious than the flu and crowded it out for a couple of seasons (the same thing that now happens between variants of COVID where one strain eventually dominates). If you look at the number of people who tested positive for seasonal flu by the CDC surveillance network during flu season, end of 2020 to early 2021, it was only 1300 cases, compared to 130,000 during a normal season like 2019 to 2020. And keep in mind that this testing is done purely to detect flu strains, this is not doctors choosing to code a patient as COVID positive for the purposes of insurance payments.
Second, it's also because for a brief period of time in 2020 a huge portion of the country did indeed buy into "flattening the curve" as it was presented and stayed home for lockdowns. I can't speak to masking behavior across the entire pandemic but 2020 was without a doubt the year of highest compliance among people who suspected they could be sick as well as people who worried about getting sick.
I think these factors do a good job of explaining why we had historically very low levels of common cold, flu, and other transmissible diseases during the periods of greatest COVID spread. The unusually low pediatric flu deaths you're mentioning reflect this.
@@Haberdasher102 Negative. There is no evidence to support what you're saying. You're telling me flattening the curve worked on the flu but did not work on covid? Sell that to someone else. Also, yes physicians did diagnose COVID over the Flu for financial reasons. A test was not needed to diagnose COVID. A presumption the death was caused by COVID sufficed (per the CDCs definition of a presumed death). Now add the fact that COVID and FLU symptoms are nearly identical.....It doesnt take a lot of thought to know what diagnosis would take precedent. Sometimes the obvious answer is actually the answer.
Disputing an argument by citing BS stats is not all that helpful.

It's in the studies that were published that there was not full disclosure, and in fact taking the MRA shot open the doors for being much sicker if you do contract covid. The flu shot debate is going to rain on forever I think. I come from a long line registered nurses and surgeons. Neither my mother or her sisters (all RN's) would ever take a flu shot and I don't remember them ever being sick.
Living on a WHOLE FOOD diet helps. XoXo ❤
It sadly is just the luck of the draw, as a kid I got all my shots and glad I do not know the days of TB. measles, Polio etc. It killed ppl and gave long covid before we had the vaccine about so again it was a gamble if you got it. I was lucky that I never did and when the second wave hit I was not brave as you to be super social. The timeline of the lockdowns never meant I( needed to get the vaccine to travel and the only reason why alot of Irish got it was that it was only way to get back in the pub. Even though I more agree with Seth, but I can still agree with Bill about the fact that yes, all medicine and science starts out a little bit of a guessing game, but we improve on it and we should be able to ask questions, fund more research, and ask for improvements. 👏 Well done guys! Hahaha and funny of course too! cheers!

Yep whatever scares people now go with that. We will correct the “science” later.
If it was 7,000,000,000, no humans would be left on earth to debate the issue. Nice work invalidating your own comment
This conversation is a real meeting of the MIND.
Seth we've had people under the age of 40 die from heart attacks. I know two personally who have passed 28 and 30 years old. One was a emt/fire fighter. The other was a professional snowmobiler. Both had covid before the vaccine and didn't even realize they had it till they got tested. But because we live in communist canada they where still forced to be vaccinated
Or, let's imagine, that maybe it wasn't the vaccine.
Nah better to assume things that push my view of the world that I've already decided to have.
@@merrbino Why are you so stupid? Who did this to you?
This guy don't get it. It should be option, not mandatory.
Not in the middle of a pandemic where a virus is widespread. It’s still widespread. The only difference now is the variants are weaker now and we have treatments and vaccines. Hospitals were being filled to capacity with COVID-19 patients.
@@RocStarr913 Still, it should be a choice. They lied about the vaccine, what it was capable of, how long the lockdowns would last, the USA's involvement in the gain of function research, how well the vaccines had been tested, etc. The people in charge have proven they can't be trusted on their word.
Yeah, I should be still option.
Look at this new drugs doing to people. You're a Guinea pig.
It was an option and employers, immigration etc should also have the option of saying no.
@@RocStarr913 Yes, even in the middle of a pandemic. Nobody has the right to tell me what to do with my own body.
My anecdotal experience:
I didn't get the jab, I got Covid-19 once, it wasn't very bad and I haven't had it since.
My boss got the jab and boosters, he's had Covid-19 three times, and felt bad after receiving the shots.
Another co-worker and his wife got the shot, suffered severely the next couple of days, still got Covid-19 afterwards.
Everybody I know that got Covid-19 and stayed home (regardless of how bad they felt) made it through just fine.
The one guy I know some info on that did die from Covid-19 went to the hospital and died there.
We know that the protocol (Remdesivir and ventilators) was horrible. Remdesivir is a failed drug that should never have been used, but Fauci probably made money off of its use. There was no early treatment offered by the main stream doctors, and the protocols that certain doctors had GREAT success with was rejected.
So when we talk about how many people died "of Covid" or "with Covid," you still have to take into account the pathetic protocols that contributed to excess deaths and the suppression of protocols that could have saved lives.
As far as the vaccine goes, I've seen many reports of deaths and other horrible side effects, and you can't discount the VAERS data that shows thousands of deaths associated with the vaccine. Even if they aren't ALL directly related to the vaccine, you have to understand the statistical shift from all other vaccines that have very few reports of side effects, compared to the EPIC number of side effects and deaths reported in VAERS for the Covid-19 vaccine. There must be some correlation, because there's no way that vast discrepancy is just a coincidence. And it's also telling that many nurses lost their jobs for refusing to take the jab, because they saw the effects it had on people.
Give people a choice. If you want the shot, get it. But if you don't, that should be perfectly acceptable.
Nicely put
Seth actually believes what he is saying. He needs to educate himself.
Agreed. You’d think he was paid by Pfizer to push the stuff.
"That's assuming we're all alike." What??
His point makes sense. The guy who is morbidly obese, has asthma and was diagnosed with a heart condition is not going to have the same immunity or statistics to survive like an 18yr old athlete. The person with out of control diabetes is not going to reach the same as your average 30yr old who exercises.
In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
That's too much. It's similar to saying "that's a hot sun, that's one hot sun"
Never been vaccinated, and I've never had Covid.
I never vaccinated and I caught Covid at least once (confirmed by test) and was over it in a day. Had to wait for a negative test before going back to work though.
Had it before the vaccines had it once after the vaccines. However i did more traveling, less social distancing, and hardly any mask wearing after the vaccine because having it and then getting vaccinated supposedly made you "super immune".
It did not.
Just wait.

Maher struggles and squirms when faced
"Why not vaccine hesitancy for things like measles, why not polio?".
Probably shouldn't tell him about the 0.01% death rate for Covid for healthy young/middle-aged people.......
Because those vaccines went through decades long trials and the COVID vaccine was forced on the public after mere months.
Bill Maher torched Seth MacFarlene. Thanks for the link, ResetEra. 😂👌🖕
To me the biggest harm was the way this has divided people and friends.
It's what our government wanted all along
No. People have divided people and friends. Republicans spread misinformation and then say "why are we not allowed to question".
They are pro-choice when it comes to vaccines but not abortion.
Make it make sense.
To me the biggest harm was the 1.1 million Americans who died of Covid
I think the crazy amount of easily preventable deaths and absurd continued anti-vax misinformation is a little bit worse
As it was designed to do.
Weird, a liberal that’s not pro choice.
Did he say anything about this vaccine beign legally mandated? He's only extolling the virtues of it. You need to be able to comprehend what people actually SAY, and not project your political bias onto it.
Not even close to the same thing.
The remark that people had COVID four or five times is true, but once you had COVID and recovered you do develop antibodies similar to that of getting the vaccine. However, that immunity from the antibodies can wane and that's where you can get COVID again leading to getting infected multiple times. This is why people get a booster for COVID-19 to restore those antibodies.
What happened to herd immunity? We were all sheep I guess
The % of people who died from COVID was a fraction of miniscule world wide.
Commnting on science stuff, Bill is very very shaky.
As is McFarlane.
"trust the science" is the least scientific thing ever said ever.
science is about "I don't just believe you. prove it". that is science
Science = Seance
that only works when its other researchers debating about it. Us uninvolved people have no clue wtf we're talking about when it come to highly technical shit
@@Stoneworks prove it
@@drunknpoet I mean technically in this situation we need you to prove it. So, tell us about all the highly technical shit they work with? If you proclaim you know what you're talking about, tell us? What do you know about what they do?
@@Dana21283 So, I need to prove it but science doesn't? That's a very odd stance to take, random internet person.
Firstly, the Scientific Method didn't stop existing just because you want to be an experiment with legs. Proof is still needed at EVERY turn for it to be science.
Secondly, if you just blindly trust the scientists themselves, you may need to look into how Dr. Joseph Goebbels operated during WWII. Nuremberg Trials and all of that, you know.
Thirdly, (since this video is specifically about the vax) You do understand that belief without proof is faith, not science, right? I do not prescribe to the Medical or Scientific Religion, therefore I will need the level of proof to very high before I believe them. Perhaps it is good enough for you, but not I.

I didn't get a single shot and never got COVID, on the other hand one of my best friends got COVID after he got the shot.
do you know what an anecdote is ?
I got all of the COVID shots and never got it. There was one incident where I started to feel sick so I went to bed early and the next day I felt fine.
I should add that I have an autoimmune disorder and greatly rely of everyone getting vaxed for the herd immunity that it gives me. That is the real purpose of vaccines.
Do you know what many anecdotes are?
Statistics. @@KRSapphire
Never got it. Know too many people that have had strange things happen to them. Including my brother in-law dying from a blood clot following the shot. He was healthy. 41 years old. Died alone on a sidewalk. A coworker, 35, had a stroke a month after the booster. Yeah no thanks! Y’all take your experimental shots!
@@rabbit251my natural immunity would offer you the same protection. I contract the virus and my body recognises it for the next time i have the antibodies and will have a degree of immunity in terms of symptoms and being able to fight off the disease more efficiently. 4:25 to blame Trump for it.........getting better, and it wasn't Bill for a change..... and the "Death Count" for covid, was grossly overstated due to the money payed out if the box was checked on the death cause.

The fact that people pretend natural immunity isn’t a thing is horrifying.
Did not work in Sweden, also some stuff we need to get jabbed for. On a side note Seth is wrong that the vaccine is well tested. Ask the world in the next few years what the effects were, alot of rich EU folks got their covid passports by taking a water jab

Well aint you special.
When you have multiple cases of Covid, they are different strains. And, the vaccine didn’t prevent it for me. I got it twice. Both times, I was vaxxed. And the strains were mild, so saying the vax made it milder is misleading.
So you got a vaccine without knowing the purpose of it? And then attribute the mildness to "the strain is weaker" and not the vaccine doing what it's supposed to? Impressive
So, you didn't get the strain that killed you?
