That OEM intake is NOT restrictive at this power level. It's a dual throttle body, dual air box setup that pulls in cold air from the front bumper. The Whipple kit even reuses the stock air boxes. A CAI is just a noisemaker.
@embiggens1 Usually the case with a lot of stock air/stock fuel/stock igniton cars.
@@Kageyama_Hiro I hear a lot of that old school advice on this channel. No way you could hear that the intake side is "choked up" and needs a hot air intake. It's just bad advice.

Boomer advice is always “cold air intake”, the stock air box is way more than enough from 2018 onward. Hell, adding the 2018 stock intake to a 11-17 makes a noticeable difference.
I never thought I would be like that one day - but it's too loud...
I dont understand why people cheap out on exhausts, especially on a new car.
Buy a decent Exhaust System which gives you a nice sound instead of just being loud and raspy.
Some prefer loud noise over a quality sound

@@smartcookie3500I made a mistake of deciding to be like my dodge buddies and also getting rid of my resonators, and yea it's not the move it's absurdly loud and annoying now to the point where I find myself trying to drive more conservatively to avoid making all that noise

Double helix with mufflers tho. Tha's just me thinking about that long ssa drive on the freeway/toll road and coming back home in the burbs at 3 am.
For the price of doing a muffler delete and buying the X pipe had he added a little more he should've be just gotten a full corsa extreme system it sounds better and a little cleaner tone and still loud.

These cars desperately need mufflers and resonators. They just sound like loud noise otherwise.
I'm thinking Vibrant resonators into a dual-in dual-out Flowmaster super 44 into two more Vibrant resonators and finished with some kind of chambered mufflers.

AWE, Corsa, Borla, or Magnaflow if you’re an adult. No cut and weld shit, and Flowmasters sound like ass on these new 5.0’s.

My duramax in its stock form would eat that 5.0 alive
I highly doubt that good buddy. That 5.0 makes 486hp and 0-60 in 3.8 seconds. Your duramax just like any other stock diesel is slow and doesn't stand a chance. Hell, my 2013 GT will give it a run in stock form. I have already beat 3 duramaxs and 2 Cummins trucks in my area on my count. All of them blow smoke and straight piped while the weakest 5.0 in the Coyote family keeps up like nothing. To even add. I have been in all different types of Diesels. Plenty of work trucks at work with them. Dog water slow. My other non boosted Mustang, a 2018 10 speed does 0-60 in 3.3 seconds with e85 and headers. You guys need turbos from the start to make V6 power and smaller big block torque numbers.

He should have bought the whole Corsa kit. Straight pipe on these cars is just as bad as S550’s. It’s horrible.

A loud exhaust is kid's stuff. It's embarrassing to be cruising my all-black 2023 Mustang GT 6 speed on the interstate and have a yahoo pull up next to me in his straight piped, poorly decked out Charger. I ignore these clowns the best I can and they eventually dissipate.

Bro thinks a muffler and resonator delete “needs” an intake 😂 the amount of extra air getting out is nowhere near needing anymore on the intake side. And the stock air box flows substantially better and with colder air than 99.99% of aftermarket trash
