Here's a guide on how to activate the secret lift at Grand Lift of Rold using the Haligtree Medallion to get to the Consecrated Snowfield in Elden Ring.

thanks a lot. im really surprised as to why so many "guides" dont just say "go to the lift where you used the other medallion and just switch to the secret medallion" simple and easy explained in this vid
Agree. I was searching for 20 minutes before seeing in this video that you just need to switch to the other medaillon at the lift.
Seriously! It took me ages to find a full and complete walkthrough for this! Other "content creators" need to take notes!
I Didn't Know After Coming To The Lift Several Times.
There's more than one lift..
Tip: You can just roll at the guy in the pot (I found him by accident early on) then you can speak with him and don’t have to kill him etc.
You just need to hit him once for him to come out of the pot, he just accidentally hit him a second time

you can roll into every NPC that's disguised, you don't HAVE to attack any of them even once
Unfortunately this game has conditioned me to kill everyone I come across when I am in great need of something.

a neat tip for those that get over zealous when attacking, just like with illusory walls if you roll into disguised NPCs it will reveal them without damaging them in the process

The surprise boss in the castle sol is suffering
Im still im DENIAL of how terribly I did in his fight (pun intended)
There's a way to cheese him without even trying. Search it up on RUclips, There's a location near castle sol which makes him bug and automatically die!
My mimic tear and blasphemous blade at +9 made him easy
I went in there with a great sword and an ego and I got humbled

I haven't found anyone who explains how to get the the snowy region. Everyone starts with "once you've been here"
because it’s a story progression area just like every other region
after you beat godrick you go over to the lift and hoist the medallion he drops

It's funny. I was stuck for hours. Then I noticed I had 2 medallions for rold then I read one was haligtree. Then I remembered the dude talking about his master miquella and I saw what I presumed to be the haligtree in front of me. After pondering for hours I finally went back to the base of the rold lift. And noticed I can switch it to the secret medallion for the rold lift. Never felt so stupid or been so satisfied. Mainly I think it was that I didn't read the haligtree portion for so long.

FINALLY! Thank you Arekkz, I had no idea what I was doing wrong. Then I found out because of all the blithering idiots leaving dumb messages like "Fort Night" right where you have to hoist the medallion, made it so pressing directionals on the d-pad just let me read those dumb messages rather than actually use the items second part!

Not at all. He doesn't even tell people that getting both halves of the medallion kills Latenna and makes it so that you can't even get to the haligtree
Fortress Boss Tip: Equip a few Bewitching Branches in your hotbar. They will come in handy with the boss and make it much easier.

Understatement of the year lol. It took me at least 30 attempts in 2-3 days to kill him, trying many different spells and tactics and every one of my spirit ashes. On top of that there was no one available at the summoning pool to help! I ended up doing what the Wiki suggested a mage to do: equip Cerulean Hidden Tear and Magic-Shrouding Cracked Tear in Wondrous Physick, use Terra Magica to boost my "magic strength", and then literally charge-fired Comet Azur at him until he dropped. Didn't even need to use a summon.
I should mention that I also had the Stargazer Heirloom (raises intelligence by 5 points) and the Graven-School Talisman (increases potency of sorceries) which helped with the damage.
Hope this helps another mage out there who is having a rough time!

Omf lol I am currently sitting at castle sol rn in game, having just looked up how to get to the last area on the map 🙃 I was soooo close, I was having trouble with the lion guys untill I realized they were kill once enemies thankfully 😂
I looked this up not knowing that I glitched my way there hours before having given up on the medallion hunt.

I got both half of the medallion and then just MISSED the entire area, went on to the next one, woke up the next day and couldn't stop thinking about what I'd forgotten!

The village is easier to get to by using the water. I searched up on the plateau for a while before realizing it was under the plateau.
