Kingman is a great place to enjoy the dsy..or Live permanently...Great Restaurant's all over town!!
Arizona is so Beautiful ! Wishing I was there . Being in Arizona makes you feel good .
I need a warmer place been looking here have a few friends here , Alaska is a younger mans dream ,
LOVE this AREA! We explored so much of the southwest and Kingman is a wonderful town with so much history and cute downtown. The desert to mountains is like 15mins and just a beautiful change in elevation. Thanks so much for sharing!
Always did love the Hualapai's
I went to Bullhead yesterday and saw a station with deisel for $1:99.
Moved to Arizona from back east just under 2 years ago. Looking forward to checking out Kingman. Really liked drive through Wickenburg on the rt66.
My understanding from being back east for years is that you need a good rain and then a freeze for the best color. It seemed to be true for the times I saw.
Pretty drive even without fall colors.
The Hualapai Mountain Lodge is my go-to restaurant when I am in Kingman on business. Beautiful drive up and back.
Russ, I just left Golden Valley stayed for 3 weeks Evacuated from south entrance of Yosemite.
We spent time in Hualapai park ate lunch there. Loved the stone cabins,Elk everywhere.
There is some Aspen in that ROCK notch. Wish we could have run into you out there on the road. Thanks for sharing!✌💖🎼🎵🎶
I visited Hualapai Mountains while staying in Kingman. I loved it!
"Up we go" so cool. I really enjoy those aerial shots. Thanks Russ!
Look for the Aspens and Birches along creeks, meadows etc. you'll find some nice colors there.
Russ, up off 40 on the way to Seligman about 5 miles past Silver Springs Exit you're at about 4500-4700 feet you hit Willow Creek, on the South you've got a mile stretch of Elm, Sycamore and Willow that is spectacular in the Fall - yellows and gold fyi.
Keep it coming, love..that disco song is now stuck in my head! KC &the Sunshine...what a state of mind.
Hey Russ!!! The "NEW" camera's "COLOR" is really "GOOD"!!!
Kingman is Arizona at its best!
Your narration puts you way above other videos! Keep up the good work! 👍👍👍
It’s kind of windy to I go up there at once a week to the lodge for lunch
Right now the color is on 395 at June Lake and Bishop Creek.
I grew up fishing Gull lake with the Hash Family.
Don’t forget the Hualapai Mountain Lodge cool
Pretty drive.
Thanx Russ,stay safe.🗽🗽🗽👍👍👍
If you go around to the back side of the mountain that's where the tree's turn.
Indian Summer in Arizona: Try the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest instead... ;)
I live near that park I've been up there it's beautiful I need to go up there again.
Those clouds shown in your drive up to the park are awesome. From what I can see, it looks like there's three different types of clouds there. Pretty cool.
San Francisco peaks is the area to see fall colors big aspen forest
I have a friend in Kingman, he said it is always windy
Lol It's true, I am from Kingman. It's always windy. PS when I was growing up, there was a fall. In town we used to get some colors.
Santa Ana Winds blow through Kingman nine months out of the year.
From May to August, virtually no winds there to speak of!
Russ, now I know where I’ll head after 14 days at Plumosa Road north of Quartzsite next January ...thank you, sir! Looks terrific!
I believe it's 6500' at the info center and goes up a couple hundred through the campground. So yeah, gets chilly.
White mountains looking beautifu this time of year i live in lakeside safe travels sir!👍👍
love the hualapais.......the cabin rentals are cool, but have become hella pricey
I've been there many years ago whenmy father in law lived in Oatman AZ
Love Oatman
"How cool is that?"....very cool, ty, that was a nice drive. Pretty area. Looks like you could almost reach the clouds. TY for all your work. Enjoyed. 👍
I'm new to your channel. I have to say I enjoy your videos very much. I was born in Kingman and live in Oklahoma for the past 30 years. I also have to tell you that those pine trees there in the Hualapai mts all smell like candy flavors. Sounds absurd but it's true. Next time your there walk up to a pine tree and put your nose close to where the bark breaks and whiff. Lol there chocolate, butterscotch (common among all) strawberry. Sometimes you might even find a mint scent. I sure wish the day my family and I discovered this that there was a video of us looking like a group of crazies from who knows where exploring earth for the 1st time and we're all doing it wrong. You mentioned you were in search of fall colors. When I moved to OK I realized for 20 yrs I had one season pretty much all year every year. As beautiful as this home of mine is, it really never changes. Imagine my delight to see colors of the seasons.
💞😁Yay... Look forward to seeing Flagstaff!!
Always a pleasure to view your vlogs!
👍🏽Best Wishes & Happy Trails!!
@Rob Hebbs.....The Catalinas and Mt. Graham are way higher than 6500 feet.....they get snow accumulation during wet winters.
I only saw conifer trees, no deciduous trees that turn color.
Go up there on my Kmyco 164cc scooter and slow down to 20 mph at the top, a fun ride from the KOA where I live.
You should video the park. Lots of cabins and all refurbished!
Evening Russ 😀👍
Beautiful scenery. I never been to Arizona. :-(
Visit if you can sometime. You’ll love it! Something for everyone here :)
That was interesting Russ ,didn"t know kingman had that elevation near town . Reminds me of the sky islands east and south of phoenix where i live. like pinal peaks south of globe ,catalina
mountains north of tuson , and the gram mountains . there all about 6,500 ft. elevation. Thanks for the ride.
leaves change due to amount of sun....in the fall less sun equals change .
Nice blue sky
Thanks for the fall colors tour even though Mother Nature did not cooperate! Thanks Russ for all you do 🙂💥😃🌵🦋🌞😎🌼😘👓💫☕🌻🌺🐞🐶🌟⭐🦊🎈🎊🖼🏜☁️👍
Nice video, thank you! Ron USA
There is a great restaurant up there
Change of color in the leaves also depends upon the length of daylight. Usually an arboretum will accurately predict the dates for peak color.
Was just there last Saturday and on the hiking trails you see some of the leaves changing colors.
You need to check out hannigan Meadows this would be the prime time to go there it's in Eastern Arizona by springerville you also have the Black River there has some awesome trout fishing and great camping just don't get snowed in
THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR JOURNEY.. LOVE THE BEAUTIFUL SCENERY..LOOKING FORWARD TO FINDING FALL COLORS!! 🍁🧡🙂🌵
Pretty clouds! & little yellow flowers!
Nice ride, Russ
$1.57 for diesel in Bullhead next to the high school... Fast trip. Cheapest in mohave county.
You make incredible videos ! TY so much !!
I’ve passed the turn off to Hualapai dozens of times on the way to Laughlin. I’ve always thought “‘man I have to go check out that area sometime.” Your video has convinced me to do so. That place is beautiful !!!
Really enjoy the drone footage , see so much more.
Sitting in our first snow storm of the season in MN - missing AZ. Thanks for the video! Great job!
Glad you shared this. My family has a bit of property up there (around Kingman) and I have never seen this part. I may have to wander around up there a bit more.
I have 40 acres off of

We ride atv and utv's all summer long up there.
Another beautiful and new experience. Thank you. 💕👍
Happy Fall! Amazing Hualapai Mountain! BEAUTIFUL...
G'day from NSW. Australia. Yet another quality video from the Man in the Van. The two drone flights were excellent !
I’m here! Love it!
Nice area up there...sad you have to go back down in the heat, har har. Looking for those colors, always look for a good wash or creek that has water much of the time, deciduous trees like that environment...
I really like this area. On my visit list.
nice video..
Thank you!
Love that area my daughter was first lady manager at the coca cola co in Kingman
Another quality video!! Thanks very much, I love your work!
WOW, haven't seen you for awhile. 😺
Love the new camera. Outside mount causes a lot of wind noise. Because of the tethering? I vote for dash mount.
Sedona has cottonwood trees
Nice ride

Never heard of the Hualapai Mountain Park, thought you was heading out into the Hualapai Indian reservation around Peach Springs or something.

Freezin cold ANYTHING
outside of Phx I can see
the snow on the famous Superstition Mountains!
Hey Russ, great scenery up there in the mountains! I've noticed on those roads you're on that there are a lot of cattle guards . Is that for free range cattle? Can't wait for next great video! Take Care.👍😃
new camera ? plays havoc with my vision. have to look up the elevation of that area, very pretty!
The yellow is rabbitbush.
Unfortunately in the last decade wildfires have destroyed a significant portion of the pinyon-juniper forests. Cattle destroy everything else. Area will never recover without significant effort.
Does anyone know if there are 4WD (4 Runners, etc.) trails here and around Kingman, or ATV only? Thanks.
Good evening Russ,
I would like to know if the camp area is all dry camping where you have camped before.?
Nice area, Thanks for sharing.
Larry & Linda
Check with their website.
Nice trip to the mountains. I would like to try out that mountain park for a couple days (weekdays). Thanks for the tour
👍👍😎
Do you comment as you drive, or do you record a voice-over later on?
Hi Russ, The videos are exceptional, really well done. The new GoPro is super.
To follow the places on Google Maps, any possibility of placing the coordinates of the places where you are filming?
That'll be super, right? It also requires extra work and has to pay attention to record GPS data.
If you haven't already, check out "SUV RVing" by Tristan from Idaho. He gives out GPS coordinates of his adventures in the description section, such as, his campsites, point of interest, etc.
