16:20 -- classic Ian. He is a religious man but not of conventional religion. His God comes from within, which goes back to the lyrics of Wind Up on the Aqualung album -- "He's not the kind you have to wind up on Sundays." Brilliant.

I vividly remember watching this actual show when it was broadcast on UK late night TV, probably a few years after it was screened in the states. I guess back then they were filling up the graveyard slots with cheap imports. Can't believe two or three decades have got away from me since. The days run away like wild horses over the hill.

Wow Ian Anderson made a very good point there, instead of depending on others for strength, that is such a great sober headed point, almost Neitzche like. We need relationships, we need company, but we also need solitude, some of us lack it, and some of us have too much of it. Going to church is only good for social interaction; religion hasn't got the answer to lifes problems. You need to be strong on your own, you need to be okay with solitude and going it alone whenever possible and also to have emotional solitude, and not being pulled along by the emotional horses as Plato spoke about.

5:15 -- Dr. Brothers: "Tea for the Tillerman, right?"
    Anderson: (skips a beat) "Yeah."
Audience: scattered applause by a fair number who seem to be as uninformed about Tull's career as Dr. Brothers.
(Tea for the Tillerman was Cat Stevens.)

Quite the funny guy, along with being smart thinking. Reminds me of a minister I was fond of growing up. There was always a religious lesson, yet there was no preaching, more a common sense approach. He'd often did book reviews of best sellers for a sermon. Religion as it applies in modern writing, quite a progressive approach.
