Welcome to the Letterman RUclips Channel, home to all your favorite clips from Late Night and Late Show - as well as conversations with the writers, producers and performers who helped make it all happen. These highlights have been artisanally-produced, carefully-curated, and chosen completely at random by an old computer that used to pick numbers for the New York Lotto back in the 90’s. - Развлечения
Sandra was always one of our favorites. Her confidence and mischievous nature is evident from the get go!
Now that’s a perfect and concise description of SB. Impressive.
@@chasbodaniels1744 and that’s why we do what we do. ;)
If you say so
Easily a top 5 favorite guest of mine! She’s gold!
Sandra and Dave are the Best together
What a smart, hip, highly evolved lady that was extremely ahead of her time. Her banter back and forth with Dave was priceless.
Please do EVERY Sandra Bernhard appearance and all those early NBC CUSTOM MADE SHOWS!!!
Sandra’s entire run of appearances are collected on Don Giller’s RUclips channel. They are complete; completely awesome, that is!
Wow, right out of the gate Sandra is like a flirty lioness here. Every response is so well crafted and deadpanned. Goddess.
Always a great guest. One of the few who was obviously not intimidated by Dave.
She was always a great guest. When I knew she was going to be on, I couldn't wait. So funny, intelligent and fearless.
She was a nut! And challenged Dave, and challenged late night interviews. Great guest! If they said, "Thursday night we have Bernhart." I re-arranged my schedule.
@@Redmenace96 Me, too!!
The appearance where Sandra promoted her album and video for the song Everybody's Young was my all time favorite. The chemistry between her and Dave was off the charts.
Just Brilliant!
I always loved her even when I was a young child, there's something about her energy that is so entertaining, honest and sarcastic that I love.
Underrated gem of glamor, wisdom, and provocative sensuality. ❤
The King of Comedy is a top 3 Scorsese film in my ranking. Underrated and has eerie parallels to David's life.
And watching De Niro in ‘Joker’ was a lot of fun too.
She and Mick Jagger could pass for siblings. 👍
Sandra was one of Dave's best guests and way ahead of her time comedically. I may be wrong about this but I think she was one of the first people to bring campy gay culture into mainstream comedy, calling people "fabulous," singing obscure show tunes, etc. Her appearance in the late 80s where she brought out her friend Madonna onto Dave's show for the first time is another classic, would be great to see that one on here again.
Kenneth Williams and Charles Hawtrey say, “Hold my beer…”
She's amazing!
This woman is wonderful. Brilliant, funny, so quick.
She's not given enough credit for the groundbreaker that she is. So ahead of her time.
I have a request! Live music on LATE show, Sonic Youth performing "The Diamond Sea" on September 22nd, 1995! Takes me back. Wonder what all behind the scenes footage they have of these bands or rehearsals. 😌💜
Great! Would love to see more of the Sandra interviews and also Teri Garr. Would love to see the appearance where Sandra came on pretending she was pregnant.
For those who want to do the deep dive, Sandra’s entire run on the show are collected on Don Giller’s channel.
Don has Teri Garr's appearances too.
@@bobbyk9815thank goodness :)
Wow.. Sandra was clearly a wonderful guest, unbelievable chemistry.
She's great! Love her humour!
I think she’s Carly Simon and Mick Jagger’s love child with some Steven Tyler involvement?
pure gold
What was gold about it ?
?
It is a time and a place. SB is a VERY interesting character, and Dave has his hands full as an interviewer. I cannot name a comparison to Sandra Bernhardt, in our current world. She is special, to me. Pure gold.
This when Dave had Hair on top rather than on his face...LOL!
Letterman created stars like Sandra, Fran Liebowitz, and Harmony Korine just because they had fantastic personalities. No other talk show host does what he did.
Total agreement.
Yes! we would never see them, otherwise.
Promoted. They created themselves.
Can't forget Todd Barry.
What a foxy flirt. I’ve always had a mad crush on Sandra. hope you are well. Gotta see that Jerry Lewis movie with you soon
Any chance of posting the Sandra Bernhard/Madonna interview from Last Night?
I dunno if it's just me, but I've always thought that Dave and Sandra look like brother & sister. Maybe it's the teeth. lol
Next: All the Terri Garr and Cher interviews
Airdate Feb. 21, 1983. 3:15 Jerry Lewis had just had Double Bipass surgery.
Sandra and Dave look like they could be siblings
Let’s hope not. It would add an unwanted dimension to the whole flirtation thing.
Gap tooth?
If you haven't seen the movie, SEE this movie.
David looks so young but sounds the same? Does that seem odd to anyone lol.
His voice is eternal.
♥♥♥♥♥
What would a Quaker name a wildcat?
‘Wildon’ is the best our team could come up with. It’s a team of window installers, so cut them a break.
The adoring audience wants to see Sandra and Madonna on Letterman. Now that’s what I call “Big Time Show Bitness.”
RIP David Lee Roth
Very well played.
Would like to see all the Julia Roberts interviews...Dave and Julia had the best chemistry
Somwhere, years later, Dave lost it. He was near his peak of night show hosting powers here.
Are we sure this isn’t David Lee Roth?
she always messed with daves head. i think they share the same dentist.
When she was young, she was still borderline doable. That faded quickly as she aged, and probably explains her shift to the Isle of Lesbos.
Ok bro
An ORIGINAL.....
Winnie Wallace...You two have the same mouth going on!!.
I just saw in the channel description that this video is specifically inspired by a request...
Still responding to fan mail eh!
Give on!
I will be checking out the movies she is in.
....
I will have some fuzzy memories as I watched Letterman (born 1986) since childhood. It's one of those shows I would consistently attempt to stay up late and watch. I may not have understood much as a childhood, but I KNEW David is a god among men.
... I am gonna let my brain stew on this thought...
If I am hit by inspiration of a specific request that my brain demands must exist...
I will start making that request on every video I watch.
