This character was intriguing to say the least. Spamton not only has a name similar to Mettaton, but also uses Mettaton NEO as his own body, and since NEO’s body needed a SOUL (like in Mettaton Ex’s fight) he was forced to stay on strings, hence why he instantly powered off when all the strings were cut, but he and Jevil resemble each other in a vast majority of ways; knowing too much information, wanting to escape “the cage” and quite possibly wanting to be in the real world, but knew they couldn’t, so went insane to the point of enclosure? And now that I think about it a little more, Spamton REALLY looks like Mettaton too (hairstyle-wise I’d say.) Not only having a remix of Dummy! a little bit of Mettaton NEO’s theme, and quite a bunch of World Revolving, there’s gonna be quite the connection here! Does it all lead up to Gaster? I WANNA KNOW!

@@finalformsonic even more about spamton If you go back to his little shop area after fighting him the others advertisements give a little bit a light on spamton, He used to always go on about being a big shot one day, but his products they never sold, until one day he got a call, from *someone* and after that his stuff sold like hot cakes he was finally a big shot, but then whoever *someone* was stopped helping and he went insane he was gonna be fired and one of his ad friends went to check up him, he was gone, but the phone was still there hanging, obviously he left during a conversation but when the ad went to listen to it all he could hear was garbage noise. And then we get to where we meet him.
Their is common theme between Jevil, Spamton and Kris. A theme of gaining knowledge of the worlds true nature and wanting to be free of fate, to make their own choices and be truly free. Jevil saw the truth and went insane and eventually was locked away, hidden and forgotten. Spamton saw futility in the world of trying against fate and wanted to be more than a puppet when he got his chance and needed to cut his strings holding him down he was even more trapped than before. Then Kris constantly ripping his own soul out and their body making choices on it’s own, I have a feeling Kris’ will be getting a raw deal of their own before the games over.
One thing I absolutely appreciate about Toby Fox is the great use of leitmotifs that pull from previous works, and once you notice them the music tells a story about the character.

@@SlugOnTub not really, he takes way less to beat than jevil. He takes less to fight/act, and you have more hp and healing items that heal a whole lot more, as well as upgraded magic moves just for this fight
Damn! This song has SO MANY MOTIFS! Lets go over them, shall we? * Spamton * THE WORLD REVOLVING * The Power of NEO * Ghost Fight * Dummy! Let me know if I missed any!
I think this is all of them. It also samples Dummy and Power of NEO multiple times in glitchy ways, which is such an awesome addition if you ask me. Personally, given all this, I believe the theory that this is Toby's response to so many people wanting a full NEO fight.
You know, I thought that the person in the ghost house was Mettaton. But the real Mettaton was the [[hyperlink blocked]], [Big shot], and [deal for the whole family] we made along the way.
I bet ghost fight is part of this theme because mettaton designed his neo body online but still remained as a ghost this timeline, so his ghost form's "influences" are in the soundtrack
Honestly, this is super simple, but is the most down to earth and logical thing, maybe the reason the basement is deserted is because he built it on a flash site or something
really like how the secret bosses and basically Kris themselves have this theme of freedom about them, well, the opposite of freedom but you know what I mean.
0:55, its the world revolving in the back, i wonder if all secret bosses of each chapter will have a world revolving leitmotiff, first jevil then spamton neo, this is interesting and cool, it would make sense, i wouldnt be surprised if all secret bosses are weird crazy out of this world people, considering we already fought a joker and a strange scammy puppet
Notable how the part with the unidentified chattering includes "it pulls the strings and makes them ring", one of the strange flavor texts of the fight
1:48 I'd been thinking about how one of the samples in Spampton's theme sounds like the one used in Blooky and Mad dummy's theme and this just makes it more obvious the two are connected
I just realized. Jevils theme is in there, if im correct that implies that they are connected or possibly hear me out met the same guy and went insane. With this happenning twice its pretty safe to say we get one of these guys each chapter ....mike
0:54 The main instrument here is parodying Mettaton NEO's theme (Genocide Route), but I noticed that the back instrument is doing a part of Jevil's theme.
I knew from the get go when we fought Spamton that we gonna get more of him. He was sinister but much less than I tought and his fight felt too easy for someone as deranged as him.

From my perspective, spamton looks like those scholars that goes insane after discovering the "truth" of the universe, like,if you found out how our universe is made and controled ans in a sense you as well,so you try to find a way to free yourself from this "game" of sorts. But that is my view.
@@wellingtonjunior6524 Which, weirdly enough, is how Jevil went insane. I wonder if the Shadow Crystals will let you find out about/even FIGHT Gaster himself. Given the dialogue when you inspect a Shadow Crystal
When I was transferring spam’s data to the disc the first time I got a force crash, which has something about spamton in the notes but I didn’t notice it in time to read it all. And when I reopened the game he appeared on the screen and then exploded, so I have spamton permanently in my deltarune. My first time playing and I got a Toby Easter egg, really happy
My humble theory: Many people have already guessed that both Jevil and Spamton are some form of "Gaster followers", since both of them become hyperaware of their surroundings and get some form of "superpowers" which give them ability to manipulate the reality (in a battle). Before the battle, Spamton tried to extract Kris' soul using some sort of tool. I think this tool has a connection to the "Determination extractor" in the True Lab in Undertale. So, to get to the point - Spamton, the Gaster follower, tried to extract Kris' soul, so that Gaster can use it to finally become living being again. It was apready shown, that the monster with a human soul becomes very powerful, so that power can be used by Gaster to put himself back into this world again.
Yeah they are definitly linked to gaster in my opinion. My hope is that once all the chapters have been released, if you collect all the shadow crystals from the secret bosses, you might get to fight or at least see gaster
@@CojaGamez I have no idea about seeing Gaster, but I think Toby wants to give this guy some "mystery element". The only hope now is that Gaster is in the Hometown bunker.

Something about the Mettaton Neo theme at 2:03 is so satisfying, idk its just weird hearing his theme even though mettaton is nowhere to be seen (although we hear him chilling in a house)
also, in the song you can actually hear a background tune representing jevil's "THE WORLD REVOLVING" 0:54 if you listen very carefully to the music you can hear jevil's melody
at 1:07 he is saying "he pulls the strings and makes them ring".... gaster reference? or is it the player he is mentioning?(since snowgrave kinda showed us that kris isnt really in control while we are playing)
gonna share my own encounter, from how it was set up I thought it was going to be a solo fight, so I put the revives and group items in the storage and stocked up on solo heals. Surprise surprise I ended up woefully underprepared because those Items are crucial in maintaining momentum in the fight, and I didn't know to quit out to swap them out. but by beating my face into the wall I pulled through, felt a lot like that classic "cocky protag gets bailed out by friends episode" Which is some meta-level immersion I thought wasn't possible 10/10 Toby you madlad, or maddog
I can't get over the fact that the post dummy segment when Spamton says Big Shot again he's saying it over his monotone voice the attention to detail is just wow
This fight is hell, but I’m somehow having an easier time than the Jevil fight, because I’ve actually been improving as I play I also love how it uses a lot of parts from World Revolving, Power of “NEO” and other Mettaton and Napstablook songs, as Spamton is kind of the parallel for Mettaton in the Deltarune Universe.

Both characters shares 1 thing: they both encountered someone who changed them completely, someone that made them "aware".
Maybe this part of the melody and reason will be recurrent for secret bosses in Deltarune.
I thought that then I listened to the Cores theme from undertale and both that specific part and the cores theme are basically the same
@@SphnAY hm are they? Which part of Core?
I actually meant the part after 0:52, so more like 0:55. I changed the comment to avoid confusions
@@RenzoFlame its almost a minute in during the core theme, but honestly its like a mixture of Core and world revolving now that I put the two together.
Goodness me, finding this boss without even knowing about it was a blast, I found it on my first play through, I was about to go through those big red doorswhen I remembered spamton mentioning something about a basement, I looked around and, well, the rest is history

voicing this boss hurt my throat
This is what happens when you give a random sidecharacter a lot of power
I would like to say, spamton and jevil are special. Jevil has a few actually spoken lines (others are mettaton and flowey) but spamton theme has LYRICS
Jevil even informed us about the "Queen"
@@DaburuTori Really? I can't remember
how much till there's a fully voiced character
playing this day one, and finding this guy all by myself. I feel like a BIG SHOT.
I love how you can hear Mettaton NEO’s the throughout the song, but it’s distorted
easier, but more fun than jevil
plus, this is a banger.
i mean, he aint easier, we just got better
@@SlugOnTub not really, he takes way less to beat than jevil. He takes less to fight/act, and you have more hp and healing items that heal a whole lot more, as well as upgraded magic moves just for this fight
I wouldn’t say easier 😅
Harder in the "alternate" route
@@Mqstodon only if you stocked up, try fighting him with only 3 juices and a club sandwich. Not a fun time haha
Damn! This song has SO MANY MOTIFS!
Lets go over them, shall we?
* Spamton
* THE WORLD REVOLVING
* The Power of NEO
* Ghost Fight
* Dummy!
Let me know if I missed any!
I think this is all of them. It also samples Dummy and Power of NEO multiple times in glitchy ways, which is such an awesome addition if you ask me. Personally, given all this, I believe the theory that this is Toby's response to so many people wanting a full NEO fight.
@Evangeline Babilonia That’s the same melody as Power of NEO, but yeah
You know, I thought that the person in the ghost house was Mettaton.
But the real Mettaton was the [[hyperlink blocked]], [Big shot], and [deal for the whole family] we made along the way.
Now's your chance to be a big shot! Be a big, be a big, be a bbbbig shot!
I either die to the Spamton's attack or die rocking to his theme.
toby must've genuinely thought "hmm what instrument does this song need? oh i know dying doom demons"
@@Last_Person
Maybe
Mettaton Neo + Mad Dummy + Jevil = This Guy
@@radish-reza, who?
@@catalyst539 it’s a homestuck reference
oh
toby really outdid it this time once again, holy shit
really like how the secret bosses and basically Kris themselves have this theme of freedom about them, well, the opposite of freedom but you know what I mean.
Beat this guy on the first try, but damn was it an exhilarating fight! A worthy secret boss after Jevil! Surprisingly creepy too.
Always gotta count on the Satoko pfps to come in clutch, thank you for this upload
It's funny how both Higurashi and Deltarune/Undertale have characters with return by death abillities
0:55 The World Revolving and POWER OF NEO as leitmotifs? Good job Toby Fox
I just realized. Jevils theme is in there, if im correct that implies that they are connected or possibly hear me out met the same guy and went insane. With this happenning twice its pretty safe to say we get one of these guys each chapter
....mike
0:54
The main instrument here is parodying Mettaton NEO's theme (Genocide Route), but I noticed that the back instrument is doing a part of Jevil's theme.
I LOVE the little bit of Dummy's theme at 1:47. man, toby fox never disappoints
I love this ost, this is a melody of utter chaos. There are even bits of songs mashed in here from deltarune and undertale
The intro never fails to hype me up.
I love how Toby fox uses so many of the leitmotifs from other songs in undertale and deltarune it makes this theme really interesting
I acturely like this character theme. Its like a mixup between death by glamour with the world revolving
Power of NEO not Death by Glamour but yeah, it's also got some Dummy! in there too.
I love the Start of it being like all nice with some sort of violins and like a little bit of a bang
I'm planning to make DELTARUNE remixes! Please subscribe to my remixes channel so you won't miss them!
ruclips.net/channel/UC3d2oC_tquc8RjHdCX-kgVA
i can vouch for this, listened to a few higurashi remixes in the past and they are quality; looking forward to it
Oh boy here we go again.
Yknow I expected another Jevil but I DIDNT expect probably the most out there, deranged and mind contorting boss in gaming.
What even IS THIS?!
Its the [[hyperlink deleted]] boss in gaming ready to give you the biggest [deals] on cheap [vacations for the whole family]
I knew from the get go when we fought Spamton that we gonna get more of him. He was sinister but much less than I tought and his fight felt too easy for someone as deranged as him.
@@TheSfrfilms can we talk about what he even was? if i got it right he was a spam adware hiding in the depths of the library system,
crippled by nowadays security systems and/or the loss of the internet connection.
also... how the hell... is neo's body there. it looks like it aged... for a long time.
Played the alternate route
Got big M&L Super Star Saga vibes
omg i just noticed this song also has a leitmotiv for "Battle Against A True Hero" at 0:54 (listen to the backround)
2:08
I most needed this part cuz its fammiliar to original "power of neo"
When I was transferring spam’s data to the disc the first time I got a force crash, which has something about spamton in the notes but I didn’t notice it in time to read it all. And when I reopened the game he appeared on the screen and then exploded, so I have spamton permanently in my deltarune. My first time playing and I got a Toby Easter egg, really happy
Love Toby for adding Mettaton Neo theme elements into this.
0:00 - 2:21 the Best Part of the Song
My humble theory:
Many people have already guessed that both Jevil and Spamton are some form of "Gaster followers", since both of them become hyperaware of their surroundings and get some form of "superpowers" which give them ability to manipulate the reality (in a battle).
Both Jevil and Spamton use 3D. Jevil's cell and Spamton's attack.
@@internetman9354 Also the fact that they're the only ones (sometimes) using human speech instead of beeps other characters are talking with.
@@CojaGamez I have no idea about seeing Gaster, but I think Toby wants to give this guy some "mystery element". The only hope now is that Gaster is in the Hometown bunker.
So I looked for .ettaton NEO body and, yeah it seems spamton downloaded himself in Neo mettaton's body
0:20 to 0:26 reminds me of that meme recommending spicing your panic attacks up with a harmonica
I love how you can slightly hear the dummy theme at some parts of the track!
Edit: 1:48 ok that's just straight up the dummy theme
Everyone's talking about how he uses Mettaton's body and how similar he is to Jevil but is anybody going to comment on how there was a clearer, helpless voice calling out from him when his eyes went all staticky in his shop?
That man is clearly infected by Adware and I want to know who he was before.
0:00 NOW'S YOUR CHANCE TO BE A
0:54 Power of NEO & "Freedom" motif
1:08 "I think he's coming for me, answer the phone"
"I can't explain (explain until you're all alone)"
"Pull the strings and make them ring"
"Until your heart starts breaking up (You're breaking up)"
"I think he's coming for me, answer the phone *2X* (I can't explain until you're all alone *laughter*)"
"Pull the strings and- Pull the strings and- (Make them ring)"
"TELL YOU WHAT, YOU BIG SHOT"
1:22 Dummy!
1:36 Dummy! (GLITCHED)
2:03 Power of NEO (GLITCHED)
2:17 Dummy! (OVERLAPPING)
0:55 this part when Jevil's song mixes in, makes me wonder that they're all connected
Judging by the background, I think that Spamton was once a real "big shot" until he was disregarded for better hardware. Afterall, that city in the back has his face appear constantly, yet looks beyond decayed.
Man's too fucking powerful to be alive. He is literally THE hidden boss AND A final boss of an alternative route. If you don't know what i'm talking about, ask me about the route and you'll know about it.
Yeah that alternative route has emotionally scarred me, possibly for life, that just took a massive toll on me. And I didn’t even play it personally
toby's games hit really different when you're not spoiled beyond oblivion, wish i'd forget everything about undertale and play it for the first time again since i got spoiled A LOT before actually playing it myself
that what happen if you were going to play this or that game but can't cuz of reasons. if you don't want to be spoiler before you start playing the game. just avoid videos about this or that game and post about it too.
Something about the Mettaton Neo theme at 2:03 is so satisfying, idk its just weird hearing his theme even though mettaton is nowhere to be seen (although we hear him chilling in a house)
I loved the sound effect of the yellow soul charging the BIG SHOOT.
Just by looking at my profile pic you can see why
0:55 I knew heard Battle Against A True Hero/ Mettaton Neo's theme here!! 😲
You know shit gonna get real when then music has voiceline in it
also, in the song you can actually hear a background tune representing jevil's "THE WORLD REVOLVING"
0:54 if you listen very carefully to the music you can hear jevil's melody
Fun Fact: You can hear Jevil trying to break through the theme as a leitmotif
his theme is a mix of dummy + jevil + NEO!mettaton and some noises of omega flowey
at 1:07 he is saying "he pulls the strings and makes them ring".... gaster reference? or is it the player he is mentioning?(since snowgrave kinda showed us that kris isnt really in control while we are playing)
The Virgin Mettaton Neo
The Chad Spamton Neo
gonna share my own encounter, from how it was set up I thought it was going to be a solo fight, so I put the revives and group items in the storage and stocked up on solo heals.
Surprise surprise I ended up woefully underprepared because those Items are crucial in maintaining momentum in the fight, and I didn't know to quit out to swap them out.
but by beating my face into the wall I pulled through, felt a lot like that classic "cocky protag gets bailed out by friends episode" Which is some meta-level immersion I thought wasn't possible
10/10 Toby you madlad, or maddog
team: oh shit, we're literally going to lose!
one guy that already got all of the stuff: 1:48
his head moves the same way the face on the flowey fight moves around
At 0:54 the melody that plays is the same as the one that plays in Jevil's theme.
1:48 I feel like I can hear Laughing in the background
I can't get over the fact that the post dummy segment when Spamton says Big Shot again he's saying it over his monotone voice the attention to detail is just wow
I didn't expect this character to be the most meta of the entire Chapter. Jesus christ, he's a goldmine of freaking hidden lore.
that is insane If the super bosses are this insane then their songs will be the best
Has anyone discovered yet what Spamton is rapping in the background when the world revolving mixes in the song?
God how I am waiting for man on the internet version of this
Hope these OST uploads get you more views and subs, you deserve it!
Mad dummy + Mettaton NEO + Jevil + Spamton's leitmotifs all in one...
Now this is some [BIG SHOT] OST!
NOWS YOUR CHANCE TO BE A BIG SHOT
this is one of the best music in my opinion in deltarune like it feels holy
Toby sure does know how to pull on the fanbase's [[Silly Strings]]
Fun fact: at 0:55 you can hear “The world revolving”’s melody playing
This fight is hell, but I’m somehow having an easier time than the Jevil fight, because I’ve actually been improving as I play
I also love how it uses a lot of parts from World Revolving, Power of “NEO” and other Mettaton and Napstablook songs, as Spamton is kind of the parallel for Mettaton in the Deltarune Universe.
THIS IS A CERTIFIED [lung cancer and abdominal pain] CLASSIC
I can't be the only person who thinks a certain melody in this song is basically Battle Against a True Hero.
dummy, power of neo, world revolving
