- In this video I take a look at the P-45 Nokota a plane added as part of the Smuggler's run DLC in Gta Online, I test its performance, weapons and handling and see if the plane is good enough to warrant the price tag!

Worth noting that the missile launch isn't quite "standard", as it can fire continuously, like the Savage's. Enjoyable plane, but only really for those who want a WW2 looking plane. Other than the continuous missile fire and easier landing, it's outclassed by the much cheaper and more modifiable Rogue.

The rogue has a slower missile firing rate thought. Two at a time only.
TheLastThingWeNeed true, the Rogue is a jack-of-all-trades and notably a two seater, making it handy to pick up allies in need of a lift, but people forget that the Nokota has 6 machineguns mounted up front, wich can cause severe damage. Plus I think (do correct me on this) the Nokota is more armored than the Rogue.
The Nokota (also the name of a horse) is based off of the P51 Mustang, where the Rustler was based off of the P40 Warhawk.
I'm getting this purely for hanger decoration.

Missiles fire about 3 every 2 seconds, making it unimaginably good at missile firing. Also, infinite missiles! It keeps firing without any cooldown!
this plane can fly across the map with your engine off, the silence and wind blowing is otherworldly.
it is very handleable with a missing wing, i flew from casino to my hanger in the military base and landed it.
it makes for the most fun dogfights, but everyone has to be using the nakota

As i already stated, Rustler is based on the Spitfire, while Nokota is based on the Mustang, not the same planes.

The Rustler was visually is based off the P-40 Warhawk, not the Mustang. The Nakota is based on the Mustang, hence the different name.

Not much P-51 DNA in the Rustler. The large air intake underneath the propeller hub, the “ridgeback” type canopy, and the wings are more related to a Spitfire/P-40

Both the BF 109, P51, and A36 represent this aircraft.
I can see a mixture of the P-51 and Spitfire, but not BF-109.
@@zacharylaprete1940 Yellow nose livery i guess, But one can also say the stuka... I actually use this aircraft commonly as a dive bomber while retracing my landing gear and using homing off missiles.

One unique feature is that the missiles shoot on the same side for 3 missiles. For example you shoot 3 times on the right and 3 times on the left. Just wanted to point that out
Oh sure. It's not like any one who flew this plane in Stockpile or did the supply mission where you use the plane didn't know this before hand.

I feel like owning this plane is more like a luxury than as a useful aircraft. I was excited to see this plane when it came out. It brought back War Thunder memories.
I got it recently, it’s actually not that bad, and it certainly can hold its own against a lazer. The MGs aren’t explosive but they do hit pretty hard. I have strafed players on the ground with just 2-3 torso hits, and it seems to be a 1-shot headshot even with a riot helmet. The missiles fire pretty fast and 3 each side before alternating, so free aiming the rockets is doable! I know 99% of GTA players don’t bother with non explosive MGs because they aren’t meta. But these MGs aren’t actually that bad if you can aim. I would recommend that R⭐️ slightly buff damage the MGs do to vehicles tho.

Yea well the Swift (helicopter) has that normal gray color and the Flying Bravo livery, if they did it with the Swift they could had done it with the Shamal too.

I hate to be that guy, but the Nokota is based off the p-51 mustang and the rustler is based off the p-40 Warhawk with some spitfire and mustang in it.

I hate it when youtubers say the Nokota looks exactly like the Rustler. In fact, they have literally nothing in common, except the wings. The Nokota is based on the P-51 Mustang and not much more, whereas the Rustler is based on the P-40F (nose/engine and prop), the P-51D (middle fuselage and wings), the Fw 190 (after fuselage) and the Spitfire F Mk.IX (tail, excluding horizontal stabilizer).
I created a team deathmatch, it's fort zancudo vs sandy shores airfield. Each team gets a bombushka, a few moguls and rogues. All the planes have bombs enabled and the best (non-explosive) machine-gun options. I'd swap the rogues out for P45 Nokotas but I'm not sure if they can be fitted with bombs. Each team also gets a few anti-air trailers (again, non-explosive) and half-tracks to move them around. Players can absolutely hook up to an AA trailer and drive over to wreck havoc with someone on the AA and someone else on the half-tracks gun. They can also parachute in to attack (weapon is force locked to the service rifle). I'm trying to go for a loosely WW2-themed deathmatch but I know I didn't quite get it right. Alas its 2023 so nobody fucking joins it. I cab only dream that one day I'll get two full teams and its War Thunder in gta

The rustler was a mix of a P47 thunderbolt and the FW 190. nakota is a mix of a P51 mustang and a YAK 3. for what ever thats worth.
"Nakota" is a north american breed of feral horse.
"Mustang" is a breed of north american feral horse.
North american aviation produced the P51 mustang.
Thats why they call it a Nakota... it is a homage to the North american mustang.
Its a pretty spittin image of the D or H model P51

It made me so fuckin mad that theres bf109, spitfire, typhoon an fw 190 skins for a fucken p51 and also take that gay looking gas tank on the bottom of the plane off euuhh this plane makes me cringe unless its stock of course.
You can go without the tanks, its an option.

Mustang in GTA 5: A modernized aircraft based off of WWII p-51 with rockets and other stuff that jets have and maybe better for ground assaults but In don’t play smugglers run but it may be good for some dogfights

He forgot to say that the plane is confusing as hell cuz when youre in the air its straight but when its on the ground the nose is pointing up because of the landing gear being weird so it feels confusing sometimes when you land

Apparently, The name "Rustler" was a name given to a similar plane in a game around GTA SA came out, Both was based on a P-1 Mustang, so Rockstar got hell for it. However, despite it being settled out of court. I think Rockstar doesn't want hell for it again.

The short landing requirements are pretty good too. You can basically crash it and it will stop and still be fit to fly
Like you said the mustang in-universe is called the rustler, but the nokota is actually a british spitfire, a similar looking plane. It'd be cool if we got some more ww2 dogfighters including the rustler and gta-fied ME109 and the zero.

Make no mistake, Nakota is the GTA counterpart of P-51 Mustang, while Rustler is that of its ground attack variant, A-36 Apache. Except without functional air brakes.
The rustler in San Andreas was based off the hawker typhoon not a p45 that’s why they named it something different

There's that obvious difference between the Nokota & Rustler of their nose engine intakes, the latter have a gaping one like the A-7 Corsair II & the former is almost flush with the fuselage.

Well that mig 17 in gta 5 has a 37mm cannon so thats why its point and click but that "Nakota" aka p51 mustang has 50 cals aka 12,7 mm machineguns which require logically more time on target.
The Rustler is a Hawker Hurikane, and the Nokota, is a P-51 Mustang.
So it's an average plane that doesn't blow up stuff because it's a dogfighter style plane. Gotcha. Well I'll just wait till it goes on sale. Thanks again for the reviews PYG!

Actualy Nokota is based entirely on P-45 Mustang while Rustler is based on SuperMarine Spitfire. I see why there is a confusion.
Its probably late but ill say just buy the rogue. you can equip it with countermeasures (flares,chaff), explosive machine gun, homing missile, and bombs. and its a two seater!
