This is definitely my favorite NFS game. The ability to play as cops, the vehicle gadgets, the map, and the vibes were top tier. I would love a new NFS game heavily inspired by Rivals.
I played this game from the age of 5 to 12, from 2015 to 2022, this game got into my soul so much that I played it for hours , I almost memorized the map. now I came across this video and I 'm crying , this game gave me my childhood 😭

On pc they are now working on mods for need for speed rivals, its called rivals+ and they also added cops2racers so you can have cop cars for the racer side and make those cop cars racers. The game is still amazingly fun still, recommend you check it out if you got a pc
Rivals is literally the Zetsubou no Shima of NFS, sadly. People hated Rivals back in the day but loved it now, same thing as when Zetsubou released in BO3 Zombies.

I had already finished this game twices (both on ps4 and cracked on pc) when I bought this game to play with friends. For 4$, I think this is the best car multiplayer game you could ever buy, and the most fun too
The gameplay of Rivals is what matches the pace of my mind, other Nfs feel slow except Undercover 😅! Rivals just never bores me The most powerful thing about Rivals is that even after career modes, this game stays fresh and relevant. We can outrun, jump, cops are unescapable ever. Even after unlocking all cars and upgrades - we can use weapons equipped. All this I realised last year in May even after feeling the passion for rivals growing only stronger after all these years. I can go on and on this, but I loved how you loved the transition from desert to snowy, that is pure eye-candy ❤ Let's all keep the adrenaline pumping in our bloods till we age with Rivals, much love to y'all Lastly, the music you've used takes this video to next level too
Nfs underground 1 n 2, carbon, payback, 2015 are my favorite but i havent played rivals but im probably gonna grab it since i have the plat for all the other available on current gen. I wanted to like unbound so bad but it was just too complicated to have cars built for each class. If you could have had one car builds for each class that would have been great plus unlocking things was just a pain in the ass.
I think the main reason it was so hated outside of the obvious technical issues was totalbiscuit’s video on it as well as blackpanthaa’s #craigitup movement

starting from 0 its straight unplayable by max lvl cops / cheaters. then got mad and used alt account and beat them all but it wasnt fun as a nfs game. just like a battlefield just with cars
Is it underrated? Nope, as a fan of Rivals, it's quite shite, but really really fun and gave you the thrill and the vibes are absolutely stunning, but objectively it's quite a shite game especially at launch lmao still loved it to death tho

My favorite car tech is the efs it gives a decent amount of damage and can put you infront of the line

Best story line in any NFS title. Had the potential to become the best NFS game ever, if not for no pause option, ton of bugs and 30 fps lock.
