I’m making this right now for my family for dinner tonight. I added a little paprika to give it that smoky flavor, and it already smells like thanksgiving in my house lol. Thanks for the recipe 😊
It's wonderful. I know you'll like it!
Hi Ken! My husband and I are stationed in Okinawa Japan right now and I was looking for an easy turkey to make for just us and couple friends and this looks perfect! Thank you for sharing
That's great to hear! I wish you and your husband the best!
Just in time! I don't want a giant turkey this year. This will be perfect for us. 👍🏻🦃 Ooooooo....sweet potato casserole! Definitely going to give that a try!
Thanks for watching!
You are my official go to video for this now...

Happy Thanksgiving! 🙂
You make turkey look so simple. Loved your recipes. I'm a new subscriber.
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍗
Welcome to the channel! I appreciate your kind words! 🙂
Yes turkey is probably my favorite. My family usually gets together on Thanksgiving.. at least the ones that live near. Not sure about this yet yet.. anyway, there are always to many good items on the table. I try to choose those that I only get during the holiday season... Turkey, Sweet potato casserole, dressing, cranberries, pumpkin pie.. you know the things the Pilgrams ate.. hahaha.
Have a blessed holiday everyone.
Happy holidays!
Nena Elliott
Thank you, same to you and yours. Enjoy!
All those foods are on sale too.
I bought this turkey ( the Cajun flavored one) at Walmart. That looks so delicious. The slow cooker videos didn’t make it look appealing and I like a crispy skin on the outside so I’m going to follow your method and your rub recipe as well in the oven. Thank you for sharing.
Enjoy!
Thank you very much indeed, Sir. Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas! 🎄
Wow! Your turkey looks very delicious juicy and tender!👍🦃 Happy Holidays!🙂
Same to you!
Looks great; will definitely try!! 😁
Hope you enjoy it!
Looks delicious. I’m going to check out your sweet potato casserole. Looked yummy! Thanks for sharing....God Bless!
Great! Please do!
Awesome Ken! I usually do mine in my instant pot (thawed) and it comes out good. But I think this year I am doing it your way in the oven! :) Looks spectacular! Yum-yum
Thanks for watching! Hope you like it!

You are very welcome!
Thanks Ken, Just made a #6 today.. I wish I bought another one(on sale) for next month...Yum.
Good stuff!
Thak you very much for this video. I love your cooking videos. Simple, clear directions. I just bought a 3 lb turkey breast just like yours. I wanted to cook it on the grill but wasn't sure how. Now I can. Tnx again.
Enjoy! It's very good!
Thanks for the video much appreciated

Who are the three monsters who down voted this? Ken Click’s videos are always amazing, making this today for thanksgiving dinner!
Thanks for watching and commenting! 🙂
Looks delicious!
Thanks!
That looks soooo good, I'm wondering how it would taste prepped that way and fried in peanut oil. One of those small deep fry machines. 🦃
There is only one way to find out...🙂
Thank you for sharing... I have to save and watch it later
Thanks for commenting!
I always cook my poultry 10 degrees shy of the "recommended" temp, and let it sit covered out of the oven. The juices retreat, and the temp of the meat still rises slightly, to perfection. If you cook it right to the temp, it's still rising, and you get a dryer piece of meat. Pork is notoriously dry no matter what kind of chef diploma you own
Well, friend... if you make a video and pull the meat below the "recommended temp" then you must deal with endless complainers about it. This way I only have to deal with you. Thanks for watching! 🙂
@@KenClickhe also cooks it in the oven, lol.
Thank you for not only the review, but the cooking tips!
Looks great! Thanks for sharing. I would love to see you oven roast a boneless, skinless turkey breast in a dutch oven!
Thanks for watching! I'll have to do one sometime.
Yep, I do the same thing with rotisserie on my Weber kettle. Great lunch meat for the week!
✅🙂
This is a really good ide for someone like me who has never cooked turkey. Awesome video Ken. :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
That’s the same exact reason why I am here.
These turkeys are so easy to cook that even I managed to pull off a pretty decent Christmas dinner which thanks to covid was immediate family only.
I'm not a good cook but I am getting better and that is in part thanks to a secret I learned; stay calm, try your best, STAY CALM and above all else KEEP EXPECTATIONS LOW.
Low expectations are the key because if everyone assumes your cooking sucks then anything you make that's even remotely edible is considered a success.
Right, it's time for me to get back in the kitchen and finish cooking my Easter turkey dinner.
I’ve been vegan for 4.5 years and questioning what I should eat I have no clue how to make this
You are an amazing narrator. You made me so hungry. I have one of those turkeys and I'm going to try this tomorrow. I don't have that thermometer though. 🤷♀️
I agree
Great narrator !
Cooking these by time is tricky. Two hours is a good guess. Part of the problem is if the breast is completely thawed or not.
looks delicious
Thanks!
Wow what a great idea TFS 👌🏽
You are so welcome!
Thanks, this is exactly what I have!
Enjoy!
Ken my good friend & Christian brother, great recipe & looks delicious. I do most of the cooking, but my wife does the holiday cooking & this is staple for her. I'm not sure what your dry rub is , but we like poultry seasoning & a dollar store brand is fine, but if you want a name brand use McCormick's. Don't change a thing on this recipe though, God bless you & yours & please stay safe.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@KenClick you are welcome brother
@@stevelogan5475 the rub he's using is his chicken bbq rub. The recipe is in the description.. or you can look on previous videos.

Thank you for this tutorial. It is so good that I want to have Thanksgiving dinner with you since I can already taste the turkey! You should be a spokesperson for Butterball and they're idiots if they don't hire you!:-) Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanks for your kind words!
I prepared the roast yesterday and it was a hit! Thank you once again!
Gonna try this xmas eve 2020
Enjoy!
Trying this recipe for Easter, not everyone is a ham person for Easter Sunday so we're doing a turkey breast like this.
It's very good!
Delicious.
Thank you 😋
I was just wondering if you could give me your opinion, I took out a turkey breast roast just like this one to cook with my turkey on Thanksgiving and then I completely forgot about it. It is thawed out in my refrigerator and has been since yesterday which is the day after Thanksgiving and I was wondering do you think that it would last in my refrigerator until Wednesday?
Six days? That sounds a bit too long. I don't think that would be safe.
Dam. I'm hungry. good job!
Thank you 😋
Thank you sir
I'm glad to be of help! 🙂
btw folks, if you like turkey deli meat & have a meat slicer, chill this boneless turkey overnight & slice next day. Deli turkey is appx. $ 6.99 lb., & you can slice this from $ 1.99-299 a lb. here, even worth investing in a meat slicer if you like a lot of turkey sliced type deli meat. I have a smoker & even make smoked turkey to chill overnight & deli slice. Tip, do not try to slice it hot or same day, it will just crumble.
Thanks... great tip!
@@KenClick yw brother, always a good idea to try & save a little money, i can bless more folks that way
@@stevelogan5475
Thanks for the tip. Deli turkey breast cost 7.99- 10.99 per lb , depending on the flavor, around my area.
@@gailmiller6333 then you definitely want a meat slicer if you like deli meats, especially turkey & the savings will pay for it in no time. Also great for roast beef, chicken, etc... just remember to chill them overnight cause if you try to slice them hot, the meat will just crumble my friend.
The left over turkey makes super hot turkey sandwiches too. Yummy for the tummy.
You are right about that!
how long did it take to though.?
why is it better than cooking from frozen as the instructions say ?
Thank you so much for the video
I put it in the refrigerator two days before cooking. It may work just as well from frozen, I didn't try it that way. This is just the way I do mine.
How long did you thaw it for?
Did you add anything to the pan or just on the turkey?
Thawed in the refrigerator for 24 hours. Didn't use a pan during the cooking process.
Ken, you have such a pleasant voice. Due to COVID, we won’t be having any Thanksgiving guests. I want to make a small Thanksgiving dinner for my husband and this recipe will be perfect. Thank you for taking your time to make and share this video.
We, too, are having a small gathering. In fact, it may just be my wife and I. Thanks for watching and commenting!
This is great 👍 is it as good baked in the oven?
The oven works well, but you don't get the smoke flavor.
Thanks for the video Ken.
Just a question: It was the butterball frozen?
I thawed it before cooking.
@@KenClick thanks again, happy holidays!
Ken, May I know where did you get that good size of turkey breast and the ingredients you put on?
I bought everything from my local Walmart.
Thanks!
You bet!
that’s what’s on my menu this year... except i’ll be having cranberry sauce also. it’s not thanksgiving in my house without CRANBERRY SAUCE. 😊☺️😂🤣🤗
I feel the same about cranberry sauce... it's so good. We will be having some with our Thanksgiving meal!
tamma rellla
Agree, MUST have the cranberry sauce with the Thanksgiving spread!😋
I agree, if it doesn’t come from a can!
Toni Bauer
hahah sorry to disappoint but yeah, i was raised with the jellied cranberry sauce, so i can’t have thanksgiving dinner without it. 🤤🙃☺️😍😋
i also just recently heard on the news last week that there’s gonna be a cranberry sauce shortage for thanksgiving, not sure which kinds, but ya might wanna run to the store and get some before it’s all gone. 😳😬😩 🏃🏻 🏃🏻 🏃🏻
Ken Click
oh yeah mr. ken click... there’s supposed to be a cranberry sauce shortage for thanksgiving this year, so HURRY and get yours !! 😋
When you cook multiple do you have to cook for longer time?
Just cook until you reach an internal temp of 165. Check each one and remove as they reach the target temp. It may take a bit longer, but not much.
Hey Ken, it took 3 Walmart’s, but we finally found one of those roasts, lol. Can wait to try it tomorrow!!! I think I’m gonna start out a little slower. Maybe 180 degrees for awhile to get a little more flavor.
While I’ve got you. You know how some of these guys with their side box smokers are getting that good, thick, black bark on their pork and brisket? I’m not gonna be able to do that with a pellet grill, am I?
Bark on a pellet grill? Check this video ruclips.net/video/V0LVOHMg5Qc/видео.html
Out of curiosity, don't brands like Butterball pre-brine their turkey products? Usually there is a note on the front indicating that the turkey contains a salt solution. I think that may be why a home brine would be overkill for this product, but why I like a minimal brine for turkeys that don't already contain this type of solution.
Anyway, great video!
They may pre-brine a bit. Anyway, I like to keep it simple.
I get these every year and there's always one little spot that has a cartlidge you have to watch out for.
🙂👍
This is what I am cooking this year, already have it in my freezer...except this year I am making a big pot of Turkey Gumbo for Thanksgiving, and this is going to be the turkey meat for that after I roast it...Good review!
Thanks for watching!
Just got one today.
✅🙂
Great video! Can you tell us where to find the boneless turkey?
I got this one in the freezer section by the whole turkeys at Walmart.
Ken Click Ok Thanks! We’ll look for it. Can’t wait to try this next week on our quiet Thanksgiving Day at home! 😊
@@TruckersLife1 Happy Thanksgiving!
Hi Ken, I'm up in British Columbia. I would like to give this a try. Small number of meat eaters for Christmas. I haven't cooked a Butterball turkey breast before, so I've been reading all the comments and your answers to queries. Ive got a new oven, so I'm getting nervous about making a roast dinner. I definitely want to coook it from thawed. Not from frozen. So am I right in thinking that I should move it to the fridge for about 48hours prior to roasting? Thank you Ken.
Yes, move it to the fridge 2 or 3 days before you want to cook it. It will be wonderful! 🙂
@@KenClick thanks Ken for your prompt reply. ❤️❄️🎅
Merci
Thanks for watching!
Like this but I always pull turkey at 155-158 and then let it rest and come to temp....
OK.... 🙂
First time am going to bake a Turkey breast, but I took off the net 🤔what could I use to hold it together?
You might try to pin it with tooth picks?

Hi Ken, how long do I cook this in the oven on 350?
It is completely thawed? The colder it is to start the longer it will take. A thawed 3 lb Turkey Breast should take about 90 to 105 minutes.
@@KenClick Thank you for the "quick" response!
Thank you SO much it came out PERFECT & SO juicy!

Looks good, but why cook with the net on?
The netting keeps the turkey in shape while cooking.
@@KenClick Thanks, I will try it this weekend. Have a blessed and safe week.
@@dano1956 Enjoy!
Hi Ken, didn t you use the gravy?
I only used what is shown in the video. 🙂
@@KenClick thanks!
What is the purpose of the netting on the breast?
It keeps it in shape for uniform cooking.
@@KenClick Thanks!
@@KenClick wow...that's good know. thank you!
@@KenClick
Thanks for the netting info.
The netting holds the various pieces of differently shaped and sized breast meat together and in its consistently oval shape. Much like a turkey roll, but that's both light and dark meat.
Where is the rub recipe?
There is a link to it in the description box.
Aldi sells this same tiny, netted turkey breast meat roast under their house brand. Another local store had a special on boneless breast by Jennie-O for $5.99, limited to one per customer. It is in my freezer awaiting Thanksgiving and will be cooked either in my crockpot or on the stovetop. (Oven isn't working.) Very small turkeys mean no-one gets sick of eating leftovers for days afterwards.
Sorry you don't have a working oven. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@KenClick ...it's OK....I've had to adapt to other ways of cooking and baking. The oven is too old to be worth the repair cost.
You not going to clean the meat?????
Thanks for watching!
Ken, nearly all turkey is brined and in my opinion, too salty. But I once made the mistake of buying low sodium deli turkey breast and it was as bland as plain rice cakes. No happy medium, I guess.
I was referring to the home brining process that many people use before cooking their turkey.
Netting, bad! No plastic!
Sorry, you are mistaken about the inner netting. It is not plastic. It is string that is intended to be left on during cooking. You may check the Butterball site here: www.butterball.com/products/turkey-roasts-and-whole-breasts/breast-meat-roast
@@KenClick Prove it. I have searched the Butterball websites and other places on the interwebs. There is nothing to tell me that it's not plastic. Please cite.
@@Truckngirl The netting is safe. It is intended to be used during cooking. Here, call them and ask for yourself...800-288-8372
Use a scissors for the net and a cutting board to cut the meat . Unbelievable , and you didn’t show the people what you did to cook it.
You must not have watched the video. It shows exactly what I did to cook the turkey. Typical troll.
