Honestly, there's a few, but none that are quite as good as his. For instance, I do enjoy listening to Volbeat's cover and Royal Blood's is quite alright even if it isn't anything amazing in my opinion.

This song is one of the standouts in the whole compilation simply for being closest to the original track. I love what other people have done to these songs in reinterpreting them (especially The Neptunes and Flatbush Zombies) but something about the purity of sticking to the basic formula that makes the song a song is special if you can pull it off.

Metallica has been acing this song on and off stage for years now, and what is especial about this blacklist for me is to be able to listen to different artists' different versions. take "volbeat's don't tread on me" as an example. its not that far from the original, but with tasteful altercations which i absolutely loved!
I personally think that if a cover is to be made, it should be faster, heavier, and more catchy than the original. If the cover is like a "toned down version" it easily ends up being bland and boring. I think "Black" is very difficult album to cover. And this is just my opinion, I know that some people like to hear totally different renditions.

i just clicked on it to just listen to this part 3:15 - 3:21 and i ended up liking this more than the original version which is a very rare case for me personally, this is how you do a fucking cover, you dont change the entire fucking song, besides the small part where the drums slows tempo and achieves a more heavy tone to the song they didnt change shit, even the solo was literally covered note to note. what an amazing job dude, hats off.

It WAS a commercial album. Have you heard Master of Puppets? and Justice for All? The Black album is WAY different and it was Metallica's way of breaking into the mainstream and it worked and it was brilliant.
Probably my favourite track off the Blacklist album. Number one: the song is pretty much a deep cut and I know it’s weird saying that for a song from one of their biggest albums but it’s true. Secondly the playing on this song is tight; the band really killed it with this. And lastly, Corey brought his own energy to the song; not to take anything away from his vocal skills but in this song I can really hear him enjoy the jam. Thank you Corey for this amazing tribute to Metallica. 🤘🏼

A couple of years ago they were supposed to play with Metallica and I finally bought tickets . But Metallica cancelled because James went to rehab. Then covid hit! I fuckin missed out 😭

My then 16 year old son brought my CD player to the living room, where I was hanging out while I was bedbound, and put in a Slipknot CD. I know it's cliche but Slipknot helped save my life. I'd envision my body healing to their music, and I set myself a goal of being able to go see them. When you have the chance to see them live... GO!!

Before this dropped Weezer, Volbeat and Miley Cyrus were the best things going. I had huge hopes for this being great and was not disappointed.

And lastly, Corey brought his own energy to the song; not to take anything away from his vocal skills but in this song I can really hear him enjoy the jam. Slipknot has been my favourite band since 99. None of my friends were ever into Slipknot and my parents were always super strict so I never got to see them. A couple of years ago they were supposed to play with Metallica and I finally bought tickets . But Metallica cancelled because James went to rehab. Then covid hit! I fuckin missed out 😭
@@natbarron ... Yes! They played Rocklahoma. It was their first time on stage in 18 months and Corey was wearing his new mask! I still feel like a giggling teenage girl. I can remember hearing their demo Coleslaw randomly and wanting more.
I was in a really bad wreck in November 2009. Depression sunk in while I was stuck in bed for a month. My then 16 year old son brought my CD player to the living room, where I was hanging out while I was bedbound, and put in a Slipknot CD. I know it's cliche but Slipknot helped save my life. I'd envision my body healing to their music, and I set myself a goal of being able to go see them.

The warning, The HU y la mayoría si han sacado buenos la neta, este no decepciona aunque si es un cover igual a la canción, pero siempre quise una interpretada por Slipknot pero es Corey, cuenta como Slipknot completo.
Corey tiene una excelente voz q NO he visto un cover q le haya salido mal ,he escuchado covers de otros artistas q hay algunos q no les salen bien ,pero esté man es uno de los mejores definitivamente.
