I don't think that would work. I believe an undrafted rookie has to sign a 3 year contract for the league minimum per league rules. That's a ton of money he's leaving on the table. And if he balls out, Raiders are paying him top dollar a lot sooner than they would have if they drafted him to a 4 year contract with a 5th year option if he was taken in the first round. I know he's already he's already well off but I'm not sure anyone wants to leave millions of dollars on the table.

Well the Raiders are not at 1, 2, or 3 currently. And I don't think they are going to play to lose. They will probably end up drafting out of the top 5.
