This video just saved me a lifetime's worth of unnecessary clicking. Many thanks good sir. Love your videos because they're incredibly helpful and a pleasure to watch.
I didn’t know what a Ripple Edit was until I watched this, and now I realise it’s a feature that I’ve wanted to be able to use on several occasions in the past - and now I have options for exactly how best to invoke it. Thanks Kenny - this is great!
I'm just starting out using DAW and I find your videos extremely helpful, concise and easy to learn from as you demonstrate so clearly multiple times. Love your work.
Single use is a life saver! Forgetting to turn off the Ripple edit icon has burned me many times. I prefer the "hold down mouse modifier" version of the 3 choices you illustrated. Simple, effective, and awesome. Thanks 👍👍.
This will be very helpful in editing my audiobook narration - thanks! I usually keep Ripple Editing on, but with mixed media combined with it, it gets unwieldy going back and forth.

If you’ve ever decided you want an extra couple bars in the beginning of a finished song, then you know how amazing the all track ripple edit is!
You can also: "Select as many bars you want added", then: Insert>Empty space at time selection
@@raminile That's what I used to do until now 😮
Alternatively, CTRL + "A" is Select All on PC for Reaper, and most programs.

I think you showed this before, but this time it all makes sense. Top/bottom half mouse modifiers are awesome! Thanks, Kenny!!!
This is a video that demonstrates how cool and clear Kenny’s real world tips are.
Thanks

Yeah. It just depends on how often you use it.
Yet again, excellent tips for Reaper!

When I do narration, I keep it on and turn it off by dragging the bottom half.
Ripple editing from item edges would be so nice!
i have a script in my repo BuyOne_Ripple edit per track when selected item length changes (settings inside).lua
it's in ReaPack as well
