    McGrath produce unplayable bounce with accurate line and length. Wasim Akram is king of swing. Asif is a hybrid between both. He is in the top of my favourites.

    Hashim Amla's statement that it was difficult to face Asif is 100% correct.

    I saw the real swing bowling for the first time.I was in school then.He got Sachin,Laxman,Sehwag...though being an Indian i enjoyed and was greatly impressed by Md.Asif.He was much better than Anderson and Steyn.

      He's not in the same league as steyn or Anderson. Steyn swings the ball at 140+ and anderson is a master of swing and seam both ways.

    He was Muralitharan of seam bowling, the way his ball moved after pitching was way beyond the definition of swing bowling... Clearly on top throughout the bowling history, never seen any other bowler with such ordinary speed and so much effective...

      Seam bowling is much more difficult to play than even Swing bowling
      His Ball used to get movement off the deck and not in air.. it used to cut air suddenly, giving batsman no time to read it and adjust.

    Even though he had a short carreer all the cricketing fans around the world knows why you don't mess with this legend. I'm not a pakistani (i'm from SL), i was glad and relieved when he disapears from the team but later i starts to miss him and after sometime i starts to explain how scary he was to my younger brothers and was angry with him for what he does and leave us so soon. I miss him dearly. I never saw someone like him. There are plenty of kids to this day who called themselves Asif when they play street cricket in SL.

      He comes from a very poor family. His brother used to fix his bowling since the time asif was a kid. He had always been involved in match fixing. If only pcb would havs taken corrective measures

      @@muhammadsiraj5537 such a great talented player like asif if he cheats the pakistan board should also take responsibility. 6 month ban with fine with a written warning should be enough. The fine should be heavy . But such great players should be allowed to play and win matches for the country because this is sport not war. In australia and england this is how they operate . Shane warne dennis lillee and many ither were suspected of fixing they were fined , banned for 2 series and then allowed to play so that they can break the back of opposition. Cricketers are not criminal who will continue to cheat even after fine and warning

    According to ABD, Asif was the toughest bowler he ever faced. Couldn't guess which way the ball would move. An absolute talent who went the wrong way in the sport.

      @@arslanMCL There were some black and white tvs still left in 2006. By 2010 everyone had colour tv . I had colour tv in 1984 ( BPL). My dad brought it. But 95 percent homes in india had black and white tv in 1984. Many didnot have tv at all. Change happened slow and steady.

    He knew exact reach of sehwag, tested him with 2 and then that in swing cutter to find bat pad gap. When he had free flowing body, asif had amazing control over ball. Natural talent ♥️

    Incredible... both swing and cut in the same delivery. Even, that Laxman ball and one Michael Clark call -- goes out in air and cut back from the pitch!! Drift for a spinner is one thing and this is just magic!! Something to do with mechanics of Bowler, height, pitch, weather -- BUT the SKILLS honed by practice... amazing stuff by Asif!

    For bowlers like Asif that's how clips should be made.
    Before getting anyone out he beat the batsman several times, have appeals against him and then the dismissal.
    He did it so many times with giants like K Peterson, Ponting, AB Devilliers, Amla etc..

    I Always Feel Very Sad For This Man Whenever I See His Video, Muhammad Asif Was One Of The Best Bowlers In The History Of Cricket, But There Are Some Mistakes That Doesn't Effect Too Much To A Common Man, But If The Same Mistake Happened By A Particular Or Any Special Guy, So His Career Will Be Ruined Forever, Exactly The Same Thing Happened With Mohammad Asif.

    Asif was a very good bowler, he can swing the ball both ways. That makes difficult for most batsmen!!! Unfortunately, he got involved in some spot fixing scandal that ruined his career. He's a magical bowler for any team. 👍👍👍👍👍👍.

    Look at his first delivery children, he bowled at just 80. something mph, not deadly pace but just the right pace for the ball to do the rest of the talking. Sehwag was clueless.
    That LATE swing after pitching... only world class bowlers do this when pitching the ball where they want it pitched. USeful and dangerous against flat footed batsman who like to swing their bat aggressively. Sehwag would destroy bowlers but Asif's deliverie's here, Sehwag is out smarted easily. I'm Indian but I have never been shy of admiring and respecting Pakistan's finest Cricketers. Mo Asif was something special. A bowler of this calibre and ilk deserved to win the World Cup imho.

      That ball kept low though and Sachin was beaten as comprehensive as Sehwag did the over u were mentioning.

    I am an Indian but i was always in awe of this bowler and i used to actually love seeing this bowler troubling even the best of the indian batsman at that time....

    Well on a pitch like this and with sehwag’s technique Asif would have got him 9 out of 10 times. He was the best swing bowler that I have seen. His deliveries won’t swing but spin. What a waste of a talent though

    His swing was so difficult to read and his hand release. With spot on accuracy and ball nipping back in, i cant even fault the bastman. Its just almost unplayable when you get set up like that! Unless one is lucky enough to survive
