The scene where Wilhelm calls his mother is so powerful. He hangs up on her and you can tell something is changing in him. It’s not a coincidence that the next scene is a match being lit not to mention hugging Simon in front of everyone 🔥🔥🔥 s2 gonna be GREAT
It was devestating when Wilhelm realised that his mother knew that it was August before the statement and didn't tell him, because she knew he wouldn't have made the statement had he known, so that the investigation would continue in a big scale. And now he realizes that August won't face any consequences because he's part of the Royal Family and they want to sweep it under the rug 😭

Just thinking about how wrong his mom's first response to the situation is. She tells him there will be consequences and he immediately apologizes to her. She should be telling him it's not his fault and reassuring him that the consequences will be for the person who filmed him, but instead she just let's him feel guilty. She sucks so much...
The phonecall conversation also showed that she still blames Wilhelm for the mess and not August 😭 Like even though she told Wilhelm "No more mistakes!", he made a mistake again and is not honoring his brother's legacy and she had to protect it again by sweeping everything under the rug and keeping up appearances. Her tone was harsh and she had no compassion 😭 She acts like feelings are a weekness that has to be controlled.
one of the things I love about simon and wilhelm's relationship was how there was never any miscommunication. they always said exactly what they felt, no sugar coating or anything. I was also so upset about wilhelm saying it wasn't him but it definetly would have put them both in danger if he said it was, considering all the comments they were already getting, the reporter finding simons house, etc. hopefully season 2 they make up and go public! 🤞
Felice improved so much over the season. It's like she took the best parts if Sarah while Sarah took the worst parts of Felice (or Felice's mom). I will agree with Sarah in the beginning that she shouldn't be made to leave the school if she doesn't want to. And that is probably what pushed her into the arms of August. That said, there is no excuse for the things she said to Simon or betraying him for her own gain by hiding the truth. That last scene, with 'Revolution' and the kook at the camera.... Time for Wille to fight back against his mom.
You are so on point, Will! Sara definitely took on the worst parts of Felice. It’s interesting to see the parallel of Felice evolving into a better person while Sara regressed into someone she thinks she has to be in order to be happy.

Sure, Felice gave her that dress for the fancy dinner and the special thing last episode I forget the name of. But that's not what Felice cares about. Nor does she look down on Sara for being poorer than her.
in this scene its so up seting to see both of them in pain its hard for both of them what they are going though because of what august did to them i dont blame simon or wille what happen its so hard but u can see how much they still love each other and the hug that wille gave simon was so powerful and when he said he sorry and said i love you in fornt of everyone that was so beautiful and the song for this scene was so powerful its mad me had tears in my eyes and when wille look into the camera it means its going to be a new revolution and there still hope for them to get back together i hope they do

There was just no way to handle the video at this point, that would have felt right for both Simon AND Wilhelm. Wilhelm wasn't ready to come out yet and Simon knew that and would have waited, if the video hadn't appeared. For Simon there was the option of ignoring it and not commenting on it (exactly what Wilhelm wanted too) but Wilhelm as an important public figure representing his country was expected to comment. It was basically a "back off my private life" statement for the media and public. A 16 year old saying that he has no sex life and no love life and is completely focusing on his education... For Wilhelm that was the only way to have the media back off from Simon and their relationship and to make the video worthless by making it a video of two random teens and not the Crown Prince and his lover. Otherwise all hell would have broken loose on them and Wilhelm wasn't strong enough to handle it at this point with no emotional support from his family 😭
You’re absolutely right. Logically it’s a sound response but emotionally… 😭 In the end, I feel like Simon understood this. I’m happy that he wasn’t willing to be a hidden secret and hopefully they build toward a place where he doesn’t have to be.

Agree with all of this. People tend to forget that Wilhelm is a 16 yr old boy and that comes w its own set of issues but he's also Crown Prince/future King of a country that he had to real time to prepare for bc he wasn't the eldest child. Also, his first real relationship/love and all while mourning the death of his brother while trying to uphold an image and be in school. It's not easy as 'just live your truth' for him (hell not even regular non royal people can do that). Or just admit it's him in the video. The Queen wanted it hushed for her own reasons but she wasn't wrong in saying that if he said it was him than he'd be even more under a microscope. And guess what? Simon would be too. If he didn't like reporters showing up at his house .....then he'd hate being followed, photographed and have his family/friends harassed & invested bc he was in a relationship w the future King

Hiding a relationship when you are the future King of Sweden is different than a reg. guy at your school not wanting to claim you as his boyfriend. Have you watched the Norwegian show called Skam? I can’t remember if anyone brought it up in the comments yet. But if you liked this I’m sure you would love that show. It has a similar vibe with the realism and excellent acting, but there’s definitely a bit more humor to it. It’s extremely fun once it gets going, while being very deep and impactful on many levels.
For me the ending was very sad because Simon didn't really react to Wilhelm's declaration and for Wilhelm that must have felt like he doesn't feel as much as Wilhelm does. Which leaves Wilhelm feeling completely alone. And "a nice Christmas" when it's the first Christmas without his brother? In a recent interview Edvin said that Wilhelm is in a very dark and lonely place right now.
That scene is very interesting because we only see Simon’s face when Wilhelm says I love you and you could see how impactful that was on him. I don’t necessarily think Simon had to say the words because he’s shown how much he cares for him (especially with how broken he was after the statement). I think Wilhelm can still feel alone while also knowing Simon cares deeply for him from afar.
@@ChachiSays I hope the school provides Wilhelm with some much needed grief couceling and then they might realize his anxiety disorder and help him because I feel like he's struggling with some serious mental health issues on his own right now and that's scary. I hope he doesn't loose himself completely in trying to be Erik's replacement. I don't know if you've seen promo pics for Season 2 but they completely changed Wilhelm's hair to make him look more like Erik.
I believe the "I love you" was added afterwards, a change in the scene. But I don't blame Simon for only wishing him a good Christmas. He know Wilhelm cares. But until he can stand up to his family for it, it doesn't mean much. Simon can't be his dirty secret anymore. And he can't have Wille constantly going back and forth on them.
@@KnightRaymund yes they added afterwards to open for a new possibility of s2. And I am glad they did it. At the end we get a glimpse of hope, a hope for Wilhelm fighting for his love for Simon. That is a nice setting for s2.
