I get more contamination when using older spawn. Also, I find them more potent when pulling as soon as the veil starts to break.

Got my 1st bag almost ready. It was moving slow. It needs to be said in Colorado because it's dry, mine worked best in a dark closet w warm room outside the door, it creates more moisture and the mycellium grew way faster. Good luck

Just picked me up a north spore monotub have been using a blow up one and got a lot of side pins so gonna try their tub. I have been using north spore sub and grains for months and haven’t had any issues with contamination (that wasn’t my fault lol)

Discord is super easy once you get it going especially since it has bots that you can program for specific task, however I personally think paying to be in a server kinda sucks especially since discord itself is free (unless using premium) but I do understand the reasoning behind it
id love a discord specially if it carries the same vibe as in the videos itd be great. Also idk if its possible for you with all the other grows going on but you can pluck out the larger ones that are ready and then wait for the little ones to get too size too

Nice flush and great video! As a fellow rookie mycophile, can you tell me what you feel is the biggest reason that your flushes are getting more full as you've become more experienced? I'm more comfortable with the growing process, however, I feel like my flushes are completely random - sometimes they're taking over the entire cake and other times they're way more sparce.

Hey man, I've never grown before so take my words with a grain of salt. I was looking into those tubs that you use and I noticed a decent number of negative reviews mentioning that the fruiting lid doesn't actually seal to the bottom which essentially makes all the air exchange skip the air filters. Could be a reason why you keep getting contaminations with those tubs. I would recommend making your own monotub, or maybe sealing the edge with tape/some sort of homemade gasket just to make sure. Either way, keep up the great work!

Love the videos and content and will follow you anywhere. One question. You only used a 5-pound bag of substrate, did you use a 3lb grain bag? I read I should use 3 5lb bags... Is this a better way to use less? or did you use a 1lb bag of grain??

It's been awhile since I grew any, but when you first opened your bins, they looked to have a bit too much moisture, that will cause contamination, even when it's ready to fruit, too much moisture can destroy your crop.

I’m not sure if I missed it somehow, but this is the first video I’ve ever watched on this subject, and I was wondering what you are using as a substrate? Is it soil?
You said no one could answer this question but I think I came up with a theory. You asked how come you have to be so sterile when growing mushrooms in a controlled environment. Perhaps it’s because you are trying to eliminate any possible contamination and increase the likelihood of a harvest. Maybe in nature they are more resilient when they actually make it through the colonization phase?? I don’t know? Love your videos.
