I always wondered if I was in a setback or not. Not that it should matter but it helps to know you’re on the right track. I was almost 6 weeks without any anxiety or symptoms when one morning I got hit with a wave of panic. It was like someone hit a reset button and I was starting recovery over again, except it was slightly more manageable. I want to point out that setbacks are also not a day or two. They last a while just like you’re initial recovery progress. I feel like I’m just now getting through my first setback and it has been just over a month since it started. I think of it like restarting my recovery again in order to practice my response so I never ever fall back in

Yes it can last a while but goes away but in the moment it feels like it won’t become of the pre frontal cortex the executive function is slowed down and everything seems so sensitive. The bluff is it won’t go away no matter how long it last but it will. U only have so much damn adrenaline to use. I promise we gon be some strong MF because it’s like mental boot camp.
