I'm in Pure O recovery with your videos. These are your amazing powerful phrases that help me:
    1. The Anxiety Reaches a Peak!
    2. Walk Parallel to the OCD! NUMBER ONE CURE!
    3. Urgency To Solve!
    4. Don't Chase The Feeling!
    5. You Made the Thought Important!
    6. Whatever OCD tells you to do, don't do it!
    7. Do a different reaction on purpose!
    8. You're OCDing because of a Trigger!
    9. The Big Lie my current theme is real and all of a sudden my previous themes don't matter.
    10. This is the REAL one! I thought the previous thought was!
    11. You might as well have the anxiety of recovery rather than the anxiety of compulsions!
    12. OCD says keep doing it and then you're fully protected!
Thank you so much Ali, only you understand, no therapist understands 🏆👏

Doing exposures is not enough. You need to do exposures while remaining calm. Facing OCD is like standing in front of the scary dog that’s about to attack you, the moment you turn and run it will get you. Exposures can be overwhelming and trigger so much anxiety that a person will never want to do them again. In order to be successful you must learn relaxation techniques and be able to deploy them when you’re facing your fears. For some reason nobody ever Addresses this issue.

Love that idea of viewing it as a neighbor next door playing music with obscene language. It doesn't have to do with us so we should not attribute it to ourselves. It's like you say, everyone has so many thoughts throughout the day. Our brains just aren't as good at filtering out what's important and what's not. Our brains are trying to help us by sending off alarms saying that something is wrong when in reality nothing is. Makes me have more compassion on myself when I realize my brain is just trying to helped me even if it's not doing a very good job lol.

Hi Ali Greymond - love all your videos. Can you PLEASE do a video on how to overcome health anxiety/hypochondriac? Is it the same as the other OCDs - to do ERP? Everytime I get a sensation on my body or even a slight itch or accidentally touch my body (eg: chest/leg/etc) - I'd think there's terminal disease growth. I'd then seek assurance or run to the doctors to check. Thanks

Hi, it looks very much like OCD. just be like: I have checked a million times before, this time I'm not gonna. Or at least delay the checking at first.

I've had something like that. Now, my OCD just switched themes. If you already had yourself checked and everything's normal and the next day, you feel unsure again, let it be. Ignore it. Do ERP. It will be scary but it will subside all by itself. I've had anxiety riding trains because I feel cramped thinking there's not much oxygen. But, no, it's not true. I had to train my mind until I realized there's nothing wrong. I can ride trains all by myself again.

Hi Ali , thank you for your support, thank you for taking your time to help people who are suffering from ocd thank you for you daily videos, thank you for everything you do, much appreciated, i just want to ask u if u don’t mind , i would really appreciate if you can talk about this topic please even if it’s a short video ( what are the causes of an automatic or intrusive inner talk inside the head, why this is happening ?what’s causing this scary distressing intrusive automatic inner chatter?what caused it? i don’t mean inner critic voice ), you have explained to us how ocd works , how the mind works and how to know if a thought , it’s an ocd thought and the symptoms of ocd , i know ocd can come as an thought, an image, an urge, an intrusive feeling , but i can’t find if it comes as an intrusive non stop inner talk , is it a new theme? Is it a new form of ocd? I can’t differentiate anymore i feel sometimes like iam the one talking , how i can heal the mind from this forever, i didn’t have it before , it started last year with mant themes of ocd, i have pure o , it’s been a long time, i have many themes, iam depressed, iam suffering, i have extreme fatigue , even i have a symptom in my tongue ( i don’t have any medical condition , i know it is linked to anxiety ) i just want to understand about this topic if u don’t mind , thank you again so much and God bless u 🌸

@@chetanyasinghbhatti69 When the thought new come in, at first the anxiety level is very high. cant sleep always scared. The only method that i do i listen Ali's video one day one video not much. Then i realize i have to face the thought and not run away. So when the thought come i just let it be. anxiety level high i let it be. i dont deny it, at the same time think that its only OCD control. Not i am the one who want that thought. I do it every single day and every thing that trigger or anything that can cause the urge i just let it be. if i have to cry i cry but face it and bravely said to my self. this is not me this OCD. hope that helps 😊 i dont take any medication or go to therapist.

I'm not sure how to do exposure with the obsession that i am having at tge moment. Its not the norm its focusing on me talking or other people talking and sometimes repeating whats being said. So where do i start with this one?

Hi, when I get bad thoughts, I feel some sort of evil smile inside me..a very bad urge to smile evil kind of like this emoji😈 .... Like I want to smile with my mouth wide spread...for moments it feels like I am some other person....a villain of some movie laughing evil.. I feel like acting like the villain not doing bad stuff but laughing and smiling and saying some cheesy villain dialogue... I get very confused... Can someone tell if this can happen when you are suffering from OCD or is this something else?
