This software was bundled with the IK Multimedia Z Boost Pedal that I bought last year. Great pedal. I never used the software, however, so after watching your video I will give it a try. I wish I saw this last week as we just recorded for fun Santana's Soul Sacrifice and I used my Mesa Mark IV and a Red Plate Hand Wired Amp and it came out great, but this plugin would have been cool to give it a try also. Next song!...Nice video as always Steve. Phil NYC / Jersey Shore Area
I just bought AT5 Max (to upgrade my AT3 version - on sale - $100) and the Irig HD 2 ($100) to replace my very old Scarlett Solo (1st gen). So much has changed from 3 to 5! It may take me months just to learn where the new features are - let alone how to use them! Thanks for showing where the presets are. There are so many of them that it might take years just to try each one. Good thing retirement is only 4 years away so I will have tons of time to learn and play!
Awesome demo! I've been an Amplitube enthusiast since ever. I have 3 questions: 1. Based on the quality of the the sounds that you get, would you use this live and how? 2. How's the feel? Do you notice any latency? 3. Is the software using your computer processor or is it using the computing power of the AXE I/O?
Yes I use live with a cheap refurbed HP EliteBook 8460P Intel Core i5 2410M (2.30GHz) 4GB, and an iRig STOMP I/O... I have never noticed any latency whatsoever with ASIO driver... I even occasionally use my old IK.Multimedia Stealth Pedal with no problems... Win10 21H2 x64 ... cheers!
Steve - great video and thanks for sharing. I am confused about something and hope you can clear it up since you can speak specifically to having the bundle. Unlike most, I am more interested in the Amplitude 5 Max software specifically as I have the UA Apollo Twin X Duo. Looking at their web site, one can buy the software for $600...OR...but the software bundled with the AXE I/O for $350. What?! That makes no sense (hence the confusion). Is the software offered for $600 as standalone the same version that comes with the bundle for $350? Or is it a "lite" version as can be offered in some of these types of bundle deals? Does it include all of the Fender models and the Joe Satriani models/presets? Also, how does the AXE I/O compare with the UA interface? Thanks!
Hey Jeff, I know it’s been a few weeks but I just ordered the max bundle and can confirm it is the full software included in the bundle. I was having this same doubt until I saw a note on their website saying “you are getting the software free and then some” so that made me pull the trigger. If you ordered it already, hope you’re enjoying it!
I steve. I not able to monitor the effects in Amplitube thru my AXE I/O While using amplitube as a plug in in my DAW. How would I go about getting the Amplitube effects heard while playing my Guitar. I'm not using a live amp, and don't want to.
@@SteveSterlacci Thank very you much, Steve! Indeed, I had the knob counterclockwise, so your feedback was a godsend. Also, in Abelton Live I found that I also needed to set the monitor button to 'in', which is how I normally set it for using my midi keyboard. Strange how Amplitube and IK AXE I/O routes the monitor this way.
Hi, thanks for a great demo. Would you mind letting us know what laptop/desktop you're running this through please? Having trouble getting a usable DI recording. Thanks,
If I get the max bundle with the monitors will that be everything needed to record/play guitar tracks if I already have the computer/guitar/etc? Or do I need anything else to be able to play and record. I understand drums and vocals will require more but can I get away with guitar work with that bundle
I have had this in my cart for some time now. Thanks for the quick demo. You seem to be on a quest to own all modeling out there with your Quad Cortex, Fractal and Helix rigs. Does this work well with your pedal board in front? Can a real overdrive pedal push an amp in Amplitude? At this price it may be worth it just for the interface and Amplitude is a good bonus.
@@SteveSterlacci thanks mate. I’ve recording via a Focusrite before into Ableton for beats and hip hop production but want to use it for my guitar recordings. Maybe Amplitube and the AXE are fairly translatable?
Hey Steve, I’m looking at this bundle now and I’m wondering, though does the interface give you some kind of way to control the volume of the audio coming back from the computer say from a Mac? I always fine with these audio interfaces. I have to turn the volume way up to get the guitar volume loud enough to sound and feel right but then when the computer audio gets playback it blast you out of the room and there’s no way to control it why they do this I don’t know.
It depends what I have set up in the studio. If the helix or fractal are tucked away for a gig or something and I just need to plug and play, I will opt for this or Native. Depends what i am in the mood for!
Hi Steve, great sounds beaut guitar set ups and easy and quick to arrange. Can you get good country and Chet clean sounds as well as all rock Blues etc. Like to see a demo with clean and blues and country pickin with this setup Cheers Les.
I have a very silly question. I own the Axe I/O interface, the amplitube max bundle etc however being a non tech guy I can not figure out how to get this into my Presonus Studio One DAW.....is there anywhere a tutorial to walk me through this? Thanks.
Is this audio interface preamps great for voiceovers, podcasting and live streaming? Debating between this Interface or presonus 68c Thanks for your time!
I just ordered this bundle and I'm wondering what format does the software come on in the box? Like CD rom or Flash drive? I THOUGHT that once i purchased i would be able to DOWNLOAD the full software instantly and just wait for the AXE to ship, Guess i was wrong and now i have to wait for both, lol.
I totally forget what order it happened in, but the IK locense manager is an app that lets you download it. I am not sure if its an emailed key, but i believe it is
I would have liked to of heard more of just the amps, by themselves and not with 35 effects added in. Your playing is fine, I just find most factory presets on stuff is terrible.
I wanted to showcase the stuff it comes with. I can see myself making some vids building presets from scratch as time goes on that will cover that. Just wanted to make a "here is what you get" video
Agreed to be fair those presets aren’t doing much justice. Reminds me of the random presets from my first zoom pedal lol. However, good demo and good improv with those deer in the headlights tones.
Wow, this is pretty confusing as a person getting into this. I can get the package deal cheaper than the software? What? What next? The tonex, interface and software cheaper then the software? lol As a new person coming into it, I feel like I am missing something!!
