Did you tour with Chris Cornell for his solo project in like 2010? I worked as a sound guy and remember you. Only time I ever seen a guitarist walk to front of house with wireless while playing to check the sound!! Lol pretty cool. Nice video!
Hi! Yes I did. I definitely used to do that 😂 Actually I guess I still do
I always do this if i have time during soundcheck! Love hearing the rig over the PA as the audience will hear it.
Depends on the wireless....
Chris is my biggest influence, I loved all that stuff. I remember a video you were in now that this gentleman has brought that up. Shot in a backyard like yall were playing a party… damnit the song has skipped my brain! I really liked that song! Thanks for the great review Peter! I see this is on sale at Sweetwater today and tomorrow for $75
And no I am not paid by sweetwater, that’s just a sweet deal for what this does I reckon, I guess I’m fixin’ ta find out. I’m new as hell to modern day recording magic
I have this product and your review reinforces my thoughts about it. Coming from a top musician/ reviewer (and fellow Canadian!) Pete's review increases my confidence that the Amplitube 5 sim authentically replicates vintage and modern gear. Unfortunately, I have little to no personal experience with vintage amps and effects, so hearing from someone who actually has used a lot of the modeled equipment is extremely helpful. Thanks so much for this great review!
Best Intro music on any YT Channel!! Rockin' Pete!! And what a great Leslie sound!! Stay well man, and thanks for all the great content!!
I really got into plugins during the first Corona lockdown in Germany 03/20. What a ride. Wealth of possibilities. And AT5 is such a huuuge step up from AT4. Great great demo as always Pete. No idea where you get your song ideas and I‘m always amazed by the stuff you come up with. 10/10
Fantastic video from a great musician. Thank you for taking the time and making this
Man, you ripped a hole in the sky with that intro music. Brilliant! Cheers from Calgary!
Thanks Joe!
I’ve been waiting for you to do this!! I’ve been stuck on Neural DSP for in the box amp sims (they feel superb to me), but the sheer versatility of Amplitude 5 has had me hoping the new version would deliver in the sound department. Liking what I heard here but then you make everything sound great 😂🙏
Amazingly I bought AT5 before PT's video came out (rare nowadays). Now he's set a high mark for how good I have to make it sound and look. Thx PT & Guitar World for making this video happen. Also thx to IK for a great ampsim.
That Tele sound is just awesome. What a great piece of software demonstrated by a great player :)
So cool ...so professional , everything is in it .Thx again mate for this lovely demo
What a sound! Awesome work!
Good job Pete! Cleared up a few questions I had! Thank you!
🤘😃🤘 very cool! I haven’t had amplitube plugins for quite some time.. but this is really impressive. The technology has come a long way. Thanks as always, Pete for the killer demo
Great Video As Always! Love This Software And The Rigs You Set Up. Thanks
Thanks, Pete Eh! From Canada, Ontario Eh. Cannot get enough of your content great stuff.
Excellent insights and tour. Thank you!
Really impressive review! Exactly how I wish all reviews were done. Cheers!
don't forget the little white icon in the right hand corner, can toggle between only the gear you've bought, or a mixture. very handy to know this.
I’ve been having too much fun with Amplitube 5! Great review Pete!
Thank you Pete , for all your great instructions.
Pete you’re an inspiration in so many ways 🥰
Awesome software, sounds great, and really great playing by Pete!
I installed today Amplitube 5, sounds amazing
Dude, you're work as always is outstanding. I have next week booked off work to learn Amplitude 5, and this helps increase the excitement. See you on Sunday.
You mean you were fired.
Amazing opening track Pete!!
This Gil Yaron is really gorgeous!! A piece of art...
Very informative video. Thank you Pete!
Killer compostion to show this off! So tight and heavy.
Ditto This Totally Pete ! Got this 3.5 MAX and just now Understanding how AWESOME this Really IS ! Took 6 years to get all the Studio together and Freaked on IK MM . This REVIEW was Priceless in my Purchase Decision. FAN
Amazing product and very accurate the amp models! Thank you Pete for being here to inform us and inspire us!
A product I bought before a Pete Thorn RUclips demo video on it? For shame on me.... for shame!
Loved the video!
Great demo, Pete !
Amplitube 5 changed the way i think of Amplitube, its a legit pro level tool now. One of the best out there. Its my new favorite !
Tremendous! That was alot of advice and examples...thanks!
Pete you are an amazing player I love your chanel your music is tight complex and your tones are absolutely brilliant .
I have a AmpliTube 4 and it has most of the features that five has other than the newer licensed cabs and amplifiers. Also, I think you can only do dual chains and not three amp chains like you can with the AmpliTube 5. I love the Fender amps and cabs. I like mixing speakers in cabs as well. Hopefully IK will allow you to download a vanilla version of AmpliTube five if you buy one of their interfaces. That’s how I got started with AmpliTube 4, through purchasing I-Rig HD. Over the years I upgraded a little though their store. Great Demo as always. Cheers Pete.
Whoa, that intro track is amazing!
Damn! That danelectro can chug!!!
You ain’t kiddin
First thing I thought👍🏼
Great video. I'm convinced
My god, the leslie alone is worth it. Thanks so much for this excellent review!
I am a mostly a hard rock metal guitarist, and Pete is one go the best RUclipsrs from an actual award winning band I truly enjoy watching unlike most RUclipsRS. I wish we could write an album together.
Dude, that is YOUR hairstyle. Please don't change it ever. Loved the video
great playing, insightful comments, 10/10 review
Side note! You can instantly tell that Van Halen example lick heavily inspired Dime's Cowboys from Hell solo.. as he was an incredibly big Van Halen fan. So cool! Cheers Pete I'm definitely going for Amplitube now.
Love mine it's going to become a live rig. The sounds are amazing the shimmer reverb is crazy good 🎉
Gorgeous tones. I think it stacks really well against Neural.
The beginning tune needs to be on the next album!!
The Leslie wow !!
Good video, for a second I thought it was going to get complicated, but you kept it fun.
Huge improvement over Amplitube 4, the effects are superb.
Pete you really make anything sound amazing. Truly inspiring. In my experience, out of all the modeling software, i like the tones of STL Tone's AmpHub the best. After some time getting the gain staging right, it sounds fantastic. I dont like how little options they have at the moment, but for what they have, they did a great job in their modeling. I need to give Amplitube 5 another try though. The way u make Amplitube 5 and Guitar Rig 6 sound inspires me to want to dive head first into those applications.
Bravo Pete Thank You!
These intros just blow me away. Please post something on how you approach these.
great timing, was just looking at this on their site yesterday....think you might have just sold me on this over guitar rig 6
Pete - you are the man!
That was very helpful. Thank you!
Awesome demo!
I bought Amplitube 5 and have been having some fun with different tones. I must say that i really like the sounds it makes.
Love the Danelectro.
I bought this and absolutely love it am a boy in a sweet shop thanks for video appreciated
You da man Pete... thank you for sharing
great review man
Wonderful. You are the besT. I understand everything when you explain. Thank you very, very much 👍👍👍.
Great Video Pete! Just got back into home recording and I'll be buying Amplitude 5 today for sure! Where can I get more details about the small angled rack on your desk under the monitor?? I need something like that in my studio.
I ended up picking up a copy of 5MAX after watching this and a few other vids. This fella knows his stuff and does not come off as super snobby or pushy with his opinions!
Not just a promo vid actually educational too thanks Pete.
Thank you!
You must have so much fun creating these demos!
I do I really do it can also be maddening ha ha!
Great video🤙
What a Blessing, this man.
Too kind, thanks for watching my vids!
I still use Amplitube 3 along with 4 and 5, pretty much for everything I do session work wise, my version of shine on you crazy diamond was all done in AT3. you just get used to what works for you I guess, AT4+5 are great though,.
awesome thanks pete
The leslie sounds are killer. Stawberry Fields forever
Sounds fantastic. I just bought Amplitube 5 based on seeing this video. I think the basic progression is D/Fm/CG -- D/Fm/C/Am7. Just need to add the picking pattern. Anybody see it differently?
so glad they've improved the UI. Sounds were always good with Amplitube, but the UI was a problem. The other issue was of course that you'd choose a preset and more often than not get a window that would pop up and tell you that you didn't have the required piece of gear - infuriating.
York Audio! Great choice.
Amazing Review as always. What kind of speakers are best to have a better experience?
Killer demo!
1:41 That gave me some Gojira Silvera vibes. Great demo as always.
My fav modern metal band.
@@PeteThorn The Live at Red Rocks is awesome!
You really have to do a video of an engl amp(if suhr is cool with it). After the video of the powerball synergy module you did I was really curious how a real one would sound in your hands! And now the plug-in.. I’m REALLY curious now!!
Love the tones you got here, but I would like to know what you did for the drum tracks and how you go about programming them.
Even the demo tunes are super-musical.........honestly Pete, you make anything sound good. Great review, some neat features :)
Thanks!
Very impressive. Nothing is more fun than the real thing, gushing power and pushing speakers. But, having any amp sim at your fingertips with a click is a great thing. Thanks, as usual;)
For years, I could tell an amp sim from the real deal a mile away. Did multiple blind shootouts where it was always obvious to me. Not anymore. For someone in an environment where you can’t always crank the amp to record, they’re a true blessing at this point.
Mr Nelsonius: yes, considering the price and the multiple applications; every dime is well spent. Months/years of experimentation/production.
Great demo! I just bought Guitar Rig 6 and now I’m going to add this.
Are the patches you played available anywhere for download?
Where do you come up with these tunes? There is an album here!!!
Great playing and tones Pete, that was awesome. New supporter, +1 :)
Thanks!!
Any chance of getting hold of your presets?? I’m looking for a great Tele sound and I think you may have nailed it! Difficult to see what your settings were on the video
How do you get such amazing tones? Would you pls make a video on your process, with amp Sims.
That sounds so amazing!! Not only the sounds, the music!
Thanks David!
Welp, I'd say that was a fairly convincing demo. :)
Nice work, Pete! 👍
Thanks!!
Really nice!!
I’m the One by VH has some of Eddie’s best playing. I’ve been obsessing over it for months as if it was released last year
Dude, such a killer song. Too underrated.
Great review, thanks! Is the ToneX pedal the best way to use these tones when playing live? I'm not really interested in capturing a rig tone, rather having something that's easy for live shows and practice.
Whoa, I've never heard Pete get heavy before. That was unexpected and great. What tuning is that Danelectro guitar in?
could you please tell me how can i export the full song i created? it only exports 2 seconds of it! :(
Wow sounds killer
do you use amplitube 5 to record your guitar sounds or do you use a mix of analog amps or other digital sims? would love to know what other sims you use
I'm 51 and new to all this tech. Huge Van Halen fan and have been playing off and on over the past 40 years. Can this be used in a live performance setting or just at home for getting different tones and or for home recording? How do you plug your guitar in and what speakers do you use?
I cannot figure out where my Standalone application is. I checked IK multimedia thinking it was a separate download but I'm not seeing it. any help?
Hi Pete! Been trying to reproduce the Telecaster sound using Amplitube 5 and I can't really figure out the pedal that goes along with OCD and the one before the EQ and Compressor! Would you be able to shed a light on it? Great video by the way a lot of guitarists using Amplitube have benefit from it no doubt! Cheers!
You're good! According to your experience Pete, is it possible to use AmpliTube 5 with a good MIDI foot controller?
For example, with an RJM PBC10 or to use a Mastermind GT22 with this software?
In fact, I'm trying to find out what would be the right pedal to play with Amplitube 5? Blackstar Live Logic. But I'm not sure if I can plug in two to say pair 2 pedals to the 2 software Stomp A and Stomp B pedal sets to be able to use all 12 pedals as I want using 2 Live Logic pedals.
Or to use a Mastermind GT22 from RJM Music Technology with this software?
I saw somewhere that you were using the PBC10 from RJM Music Technology. Would this pedal be good MIDI foot Controller with Amplitube 5?
