      All the presets IK provides suck in my opinion. The ones that are good are like the Brian May, and the Dimebag stuff, but the rest are simply way too bright, and just not good. I honestly just use the "default" patch and start tone building on my own and can play for days this way. But this video here really shows just how amazing this damn software is. IK deserve every penny of the price for this one, and really, it's way too cheap.

      That's interesting. Thank you for the correction, I did check this with someone at IK, maybe this has been added in an update or maybe I missed it first time round. Sound and processor wise I doubt it would change much. The bypassed amp is basically just the DI line.

      Error mine; I had AT set to show only what I own, and therefore couldn't even see your preset in the browser since I didn't own all the gear - now fixed, sorry to bother!

    OMG, do you have a video for Andy Timmons's sound?

    I have never used anything digital, so a lot questions come to my mind.
    With a relative cheap audio interface, like a Focusrite Scarlett, can I get these tones? How much the audio interface will interfere in that aspect?
    Great playing and tone btw

      @domminney  Год назад +1

      I can't exactly remember what interface I was using but it was probably either my Behringer X32 desk or a small Focusrite. I didn't have my midas at home at that time. I think you will do just fine with a Focusrite!

    I am a beginner perhaps tha that is why but I simply added your preset in google drive in my amplitube but the song I get is not close to the sound you show in this video, I tried with Fender strat , P90 Yamaha Revestar and also Les paul. No way it is not the way it sounds here or I might be wrong I try again

    • @domminney
      @domminney  Месяц назад

      @@briodJames I also released a Strat version but here are things you should check….
      Make sure you are using an input that takes an instrument level signal, don’t use a line in then gain it up. I use the IK multimedia z-tone buffer for this, it has massively improved my guitar tones via a DI.
      Not all guitars sound the same so tweak the opening EQ or add another before it so you can match your guitar closer to the one I made the patch with.
      Make sure you’re not clipping your input signal.
      In my experience most people’s mistake is with the incorrect impedance on the input, it must be an instrument input.
